When facing major events without chaos, when facing interests and stakes, it is not out of order.

■Interpretation

"Strategic determination" is an important concept of Comrade Xi Jinping in governing the country. As for individual leading cadres, why don't they need to maintain a "concentration" in their work and life? Once a decision is made, it is necessary not to be moved by the discussion of the moment, not to be confused by the promotion and suppression of the moment, not to catch up with the fashion, not to cater to the trend. As long as you have firm beliefs, as long as you make correct decisions, as the problem is gradually solved, all kinds of discussions will naturally subside. Comrade Mao Zedong once quoted a couplet, "The reeds on the wall are top-heavy and shallow; Bamboo shoots in the mountains, with thick skin at the tip of the mouth and a hollow belly". If leading cadres fail to "be in the face of major events without making a mess," they will behave top-heavy and take an unstable stance at critical junctures. In this article in 1990, in addition to "avoiding the change of the dynasty and the order", Comrade Xi Jinping also proposed to "avoid rushing for success", "avoid self-righteousness" and "avoid being a master and a low master", and comprehensively analyzed the possible misunderstandings in the growth process of young cadres. In fact, the common direction of these "four taboos" is to maintain concentration, stay sober, and remain calm, just as "Lao Tzu" said, "The winner is powerful, and the self-winner is strong".

Chen Dong: Those who do not lose their normality when they are in danger are rare.

■Definition

"Facing major events without chaos", from the test paper "Strategy" of Su Shi's examination in the fifth year of Song Renzongjia (1060), Su Shi was 24 years old at the time; "When the time of stake, do not lose the usual", from the holy decree "Chen Dong Zhi Shaanzhou System" prepared by Su Shi for the emperor when he was a bachelor of Hanlin.

In this "Strategy", Su Shi believes that politicians should be honest, have the broad mind of ancient sages, be able to face major events without chaos, and make decisions to help the people. Later, he put forward the viewpoint of "not losing the norm when the situation is at stake", and advocated that the original normalcy should be maintained at a critical juncture.

"When facing major events without chaos" and "not losing the usual situation when facing interests", it is a kind of attitude of dealing with things calmly and freely. When something big happens, don't panic, be calm and composed; At the critical juncture of conflict of interest, do not suffer from gains and losses, and maintain normalcy. It is not only courage and perseverance that is shown here, but also experience, talent and open-mindedness. Su Shi's view adheres to the ideas of his father Su Xun. Su Xun said in "The Book of Rights: The Art of the Heart": "For the way of the general, you should first cure the heart." Mount Tai collapsed in front and the color remained unchanged, and the elk was on the left and did not look instantly, and then it could control the interests and harms, and it could treat the enemy. "When facing major events and not chaotic", "when facing interests and harms, do not lose the usual", is another expression of "Mount Tai collapses in front and the color remains unchanged, and the elk is on the left and the eyes are not instantaneous".
