Marshal's daughter in a concentration camp

The Chinese and Belarusian peoples fought side by side with the same hatred for the enemy, made tremendous sacrifices for the final victory of the World Anti-Fascist War, and made great contributions that will shine in the annals of history. In the Nazi concentration camp in Minsk, Zhu Min, the daughter of Marshal Zhu De, the founding father of New China, fought against the German fascists with her Belarusian friends, and General Tang Duo once flew a plane to participate in the battle to liberate Minsk. The Belarusian officers and men of the Soviet Red Army went to China to participate in the air battles against the Japanese aggressors and in the important battles to liberate Northeast China.

Zhu Min is the only daughter of Marshal Zhu De. In February 1941, Zhu Min was sent to study at the First International Children's Home in Moscow, Soviet Union, and in order not to reveal her identity, she assumed the pseudonym "Chiying". The surname "Chi" implicitly refers to "Zhu". Zhu Min has suffered from asthma since childhood, and the cold climate in Moscow has led to a recurrence of old diseases. The children's home sent her to a Young Pioneers summer camp on the outskirts of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. However, the day Zhu Min arrived at the camp, the Soviet-German war broke out. Before the children of the summer camp could retreat, the enemy troops occupied Minsk. Subsequently, they were sent to Nazi concentration camps. In the concentration camp, Zhu Min and his friends were tortured, but they still did not forget to "fight" against the fascists, or poured water into the bullet box when the enemy was not paying attention, so that the bullets were wet; Or when loading bullets, spit into gunpowder, mix sand, etc. It was not until early 1945, under the liberation of the Soviet Red Army, that Zhu Min and others finally escaped from the Nazi concentration camps.

Tang Duo, the "flying general", was the only Chinese who fought against the Nazi Luftwaffe in the Soviet Union, Poland and Germany. During the Great Patriotic War, he participated in the Air Force Shock Regiment as a trainee deputy commander of aerial shooting, and once led 4 attack planes to sail at ultra-low altitude, blowing up dozens of enemy planes, and became famous in World War I, known as the "Chinese Eagle" in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union. Tang Duo also set a record of six releases in one day during the campaign to liberate East Prussia in the spring of 1945. For his outstanding military exploits, Tang Duo was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner, the Order of the Red Star, and the Order of the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union by the Soviet government.

The Chinese people will also not forget the help of their "old friends". After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, a large number of Soviet pilots formed the Soviet Volunteer Air Force to aid China and came to China. Air Force Lieutenant General Blagoveshchensky commanded a fighter group composed of Chinese and Soviet pilots in China from 1937 to 1938 and participated in many air battles. In May 1938, when Wuhan was attacked by Japanese aircraft, the group shot down a total of 36 enemy planes, seven of which were shot down by Blagoveshchensky. Air Force Lieutenant General Nikolaenko once led the pilots to successfully sabotage the Japanese army's plan to carry out intensive bombing of Hankou when the enemy had a threefold superiority in troops. For more than 4 years, 14 people of the Volunteer Air Corps were awarded the title "Hero of the Soviet Union".

In this signed article published by the Belarusian media, Xi Jinping used the story of Marshal Zhu De's daughter Zhu Min and the story of the pilots of the two countries fighting side by side to review the friendship between China and Belarus, so that the historical friendship between China and Belarus can be fully displayed on paper, which is impressive and unforgettable.

Chinese readers may know that Zhu Min is the daughter of Marshal Zhu De, but they may not know that she fought against the German fascists with her Belarusian friends; Belarusian readers may have heard of Air Force Lieutenant General Blagoveshchensky, but they may not know that he went to China to participate in air battles against the Japanese invaders, and was affectionately called "Captain Zhang Fei" by the Chinese. Skobelev, director of the Belarusian Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, said with emotion that President Xi mentioned in the article the story of the Belarusian and Chinese peoples fighting side by side in World War II and establishing a strong friendship, which is very beneficial for the Belarusian people to understand the history of China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
