81 Wildfire
Sitting around the campfire, Sang Feng. Clegane raised his head and took a sip of ale wine, then said disdainfully, "Only fools will go to be crows, wait and see, Lord Wizard, if you are not careful, I will run away." β
"Then it looks like I should suggest Stark put you in a prison car."
Charles responded absent-mindedly. His right hand subconsciously stroked his forehead.
"The wolf is in a hurry to go home, and the prisoner cart is slowing down, so he won't do it." The Hound was quite calm about this.
"Maybe I'll cut your head off."
"I'm afraid?" The hounds scoffed at this.
"Are you afraid of that witchcraft, as you did to your former master, first the arms, then the thighs, then the heads, and finally the eggs."
So the hound decisively closed its mouth.
Drinking with his head up, his glass in both hands, the chains at his wrists rattling. After a while, he said:
"I guess your witchcraft isn't quite the same as what others say."
"How?"
"If you can really kill someone casually, then you don't need to escape from prison in the Red Keep, and it will be much easier to directly threaten Stannis. I didn't see you take revenge on him afterwards. β
"That's right." Charles didn't have the heart to explain anything to him, so he nodded: "But Sang Feng. Clegane is easier to deal with than Stannis, and there will be no consequences. β
The Hound glanced at him, then changed the subject: "Those fools in King's Landing are really crazy, and sending you out of the city is like a dead father, crying and screaming. I've also seen people run up to kiss your horse's butt and get kicked and their teeth shattered, which is fucking funny. β
Charles glanced at him, but did not respond, and the hound poured the cup in his hand, and the purpose was self-evident.
"It's not everyone who can be served by the wizard himself, but I'm a little scared. Why don't you have an attendant? β
"Not used to squires." Charles said, getting up and going back to the tent to get his wine bag.
As a result, he came out again, and the big man who was still there just now really disappeared.
"Really running? It's really walking the talk. β
Charles was speechless.
As he said, the prisoner cart was too slow, but this one chose the latter in front of beheading and wearing black, Stark couldn't kill him, his status was special, and he didn't feel at ease and let him go.
So it was Charles' turn to play.
Everyone seemed to have much faith in his curse, except himself.
"But who knew this thing was just a paper tiger?"
If it weren't for the sake of "getting out of prison together", Charles would not have paid attention to this guy who had tried to take his life.
Sighing secretly, he took out the puppet and a steel needle he had with him, and was hesitating where to teach him a painful lesson, only to find that the hound that had just disappeared had reappeared.
It's just that it's not a single person, and there's a short guy in his bound hands.
"Who is this?"
"Who else can this short man look so ugly."
"Before I say that, I'll bother you to look in the mirror." The dwarf who was held in his hand said dissatisfiedly: "Anyone in the Seven Kingdoms is qualified to call me ugly, except for Sang Feng. Clegane. β
"I don't want to blame myself." The hound grinned, then casually threw the man in his hand to the ground.
This rude behavior aroused great displeasure in the audience, and he said, "I should have asked my sister to send you to dig a manure pit instead of being a knight!" β
"I'm not from the Lannisters right now."
"That's right, what a loyal dog, little Joe must be very pleased to see your new master." The dwarf said, turning his head to look around, and after realizing that he had appeared unnoticed, he looked at Charles.
"Tyrion Lannister, the Wizard's defeated men, they usually call me a little devil, maybe we'll have something in common."
"Does anyone know?" Charles shrugged, "But before that, maybe you should tell me how you got in?" β
Although this camp is temporary, it is impossible for others to touch it without knowing it, so Charles is very strange about it.
"Ordinary people ignore this thing, but it's my only weapon." The dwarf pointed to his head.
"He hid in the tree for a long time, and his body was stiff." The hound said, "I noticed someone sneaking around overhead, but I didn't bother to pay attention to it. β
Ignoring the hound's sarcasm, Tyrion looked at Charles with a straight face, "I'm here for you. β
"What are you looking for me?" Charles was puzzled.
"I have to thank you for letting me go last time, and now, I'm going to pray that you'll do the same this time, but not yet."
Tyrion cautiously turned his head around for a moment, and then whispered, "There's a bunch of dangerous things buried under King's Landing, and if you don't care, sooner or later the whole city will be blown up into the sky." β
"What's that?"
"Fire."
"Fire?"
"Wildfire, which existed in the time of the Mad King, something that can even be burned with water." Tyrion said, earnestly suggesting, "Maybe you can use sorcery to turn them into real toys, but I think you'd better tell Stark to send ravens to inform King's Landing." β
"If what you say is true, and he has King's Landing." Charles was noncommittal.
Since he left King's Landing, he hadn't seen any servants or scholars in the army to take care of the crows, nor had he seen any birds of any kind of communication.
It seems that Stark had no intention of contacting King's Landing since he left.
Moreover, who knows whether what he said is true or not?
Probably seeing the suspicion on Charles's face, the short man said seriously: "Please believe me, my lord, I swear by the reputation of the Lannister family, and everything I just said is the truth!" β
"Where did you get the truth?"
Tyrion was silent for a moment, then said, "My naΓ―ve brother and stupid sister. β
The former queen mother of the Seven Kingdoms and her brother and lover?
"How do they know?"
"My brother knows it from my sister, and my sister ...... She personally gave the order, how could she not know. β
Hearing this, Charles basically believed it, so he straightened up, his face slightly solemn.
"So what you say is true? There's a whole bunch of wildfires buried under King's Landing? β
"If it's fun to come here at the risk of having your head cut off and feed half a night of mosquitoes, maybe I'm telling a lie."
"How many exactly?"
"I don't know, but no matter how many, as soon as that thing explodes, everything will be ignited, including steel and stone."
"What about time? When did the wildfire break out? β
"I don't know, but I think as soon as the Blue Rite army enters King's Landing, my sister's people who stay there will start moving."
One into King's Landing?
Charles thought to himself.
Stannis didn't leave immediately before the northerners left, either because of unwillingness or for some other reason.
But now that three days have passed, and I think the situation in King's Landing should change.
"Why did you send you?" He asked again.
"Who could be more reliable than the Lannisters themselves? If the news gets out, the Lannisters will really be over. β
"Isn't it coming out now?"
"Now? And there was no conclusive evidence left, no one dared to be sure, everyone knew that the little devil has always liked to talk nonsense. β
"I can't hide the news when the wildfires break out."
Tyrion shrugged, "If I'm not mistaken, it's your group of northerners and Stannis's last to take over King's Landing. β
ββ¦β¦β
"Why don't you just go to King's Landing and inform?"
"Who knows when those things will explode, although dwarfs are always discriminated against, but I haven't lived enough; And from Castle Rock, you're much closer than King's Landing. β
After a few glances at him, Charles nodded.
"Well, let me ask if there are any ravens of King's Landing here."
Seeing him get up and prepare to leave, Tyrion suddenly said, "Maybe you should think of a way, many people worship you like a god." β
Charles glanced back.
"Do you really think I am God?"
"If there are no ravens, you should also send someone to inform you."
"Like you said, when will it break out? Who to send? What is the difference between sending someone at this time and sending them to death? Can you be sure where the wildfires were planted in King's Landing? But that shouldn't be something I'm thinking about, and it's a headache for Stark. β
Tyrion was silent for a moment, then grinned.
"Hearing you say that, my fear of you has become much less."
"That's clatter."
Charles smiled, and then saw that his face was pale, and couldn't help but say, "If I were you, I should rest first." β
"Here? If I'm thinking about suicide, that's a good idea. The short man said, looked around, then got up and was about to leave, ready to run up and feed the mosquitoes.
However, as soon as he turned around, he was hit the back of the neck by the hound that had been listening to him for a long time, and then he rolled his eyes and fainted.
Facing Charles' strange gaze, he said, "I don't care if he is a wildfire or not, the Lannisters have always been very valuable." β
"You weren't a Lannister knight before?"
"Fuck the Lannisters." The hound snorted disdainfully.
