Borderlands Roundup plus a trick interview
Borderlands Wrap Up Plus Interview (Free Chapter)
Well, the calamity of the Borderlands chapter is over.
If I had to rate myself, a perfect score of 100, then I'd give Borderlands 35, well, an extra 5 out of 100.
When I first started writing Borderlands 2, I was hesitant. It's a good game, it's really good, especially the shaping of the world and the characters are very prominent and in place. But it's also because of the game's outstanding personality that I still have some anticipation of the difficulty of this world.
Moreover, Xiaojing likes this game very much, and he also likes this world view. The worldview of "Borderlands" is actually similar to that of "Mad Max", which is the kind of person who completely vents the craziest and most primitive side of human nature, and everyone in it is irrational, even neurotic.
But that's why each character in Borderlands is so distinctive, and even the protagonist himself, the character with the weakest presence in a first-person shooter, is perfected by a lot of lines and recordings.
Therefore, Xiaojing still put pen to paper.
In fact, the purpose of this world is also very clear, to kill the Heavenly Dao, get the technology of Hyperion Company, and make a foreshadowing for the future plot. But in the process of writing, I ran into too many troubles.
Because I spread the whole plot too wide at the beginning, and there were too many things I wanted to write, but I never entered the main line. There were so many characters that I wanted to portray each of them, but none of them did the I wanted.
Even to put it strictly, there is not much need to describe the battle of the Blood Fortress too much, because this promotion of the main story is just to seize Roland and hand it over to the handsome guy Jack, and by the way, to show the muscles of those experimenters. But in reality, it took close to 20 chapters before and after this battle.
And what's even more fatal is that when I was constantly struggling, the book was sealed, which really gave me a slap in the face. You must know that my book was at its peak at that time, and it had just been recommended on the mobile phone with a very good result.
Then I put forward the request for revision, I spent an all-night on the same day to complete all the changes, but to unblock, you need to go through some procedures, so I still lost contact for a week.
The blow was very, very deadly, so much so that after coming back, the book had a minimum subscription of one-fifth or even one-tenth of what it used to be! At that time, Xiaojing was really seriously considering cutting out this book and opening the next one, and the outline began to be written.
But later, with the encouragement of the majority of book friends, I decided to persevere. However, this also led to a very bad state of writing during that time, with only two shifts a day.
This matter can only be said that Xiaojing is still too immature. The necessary driving and description are really needed, but it really can't be overdone, and I didn't grasp this degree well, so being blocked is my immature punishment.
Fortunately, I gradually found the rhythm later, and I don't expect this book to reach any heights, but I still promise to give a happy ending, not to be overwhelmed, not to end in a hurry, and to finish Tang Yu's story completely. Well, the time to finish the book, maybe in the second half of next year.
Speaking of this chapter, there are two characters that I spent a lot of time portraying, the master craftsman and the handsome guy Jack.
About the handsome guy Jack, he is actually very complicated, and he is also one of the most brilliant villains in various games in recent years. He is not the kind of face-painted boss, and even says that many things are iconoclastic, and this is what Xiaojing appreciates the most. First of all, he is a small person, and the dialogue in the game is full of a nouveau riche perception of villain, but he also has persistence and emotion. Although it's all distorted.
His insistence lies in the fact that he wants others not to treat him as a small person, and his emotions come from his daughter Angel. But in order to become a big man, he erected statues everywhere, forced others to call himself handsome Jack, and forced to bring strict order to the planet Pandora. He also loved his daughter, but tortured her as the key to recharge the Vault, all of which reflected the man's twists and contradictions.
In terms of length, my description of him is still relatively limited, but in general, I give 70 points for the description of this character. I wrote about his nervousness, his madness, his low self-esteem and his desires, but I couldn't write about the black humor that was everywhere in his dialogue. The most satisfying thing for me is his ending, dying under the statue he erected for himself.
Then there are the masters.
I have been laying the groundwork for this person for a long time, and I have successfully shaped him into a powerful but extremely humble image. This man is upright, reputation-conscious, and cherishes his peers, and in many ways, he is actually a positive person. The only problem is that he is on the opposite side of the protagonist.
Of course, it is somewhat disappointing to have so much foreshadowing before, but to die in a battle. However, in Xiaojing's opinion, it is really better to let such a character return to his lair with defeat than to die on the battlefield. Of course, he didn't die vigorously, almost suffocating to death in an unfavorable environment. After all, he was indeed much stronger than Tang Yu.
Shijiang is the first of the three small, medium and large bosses I designed, and I don't need to continue to entangle with him for too long, after all, the protagonist still needs to move on. In fact, everyone can guess the next context here, Amaterasu of Izumo, and the infinite Thor of the diamond group.
Okay, a few more words about "Borderlands", so be it, I hope I can do better in the future, make fewer mistakes like this, and bring you more exciting.
……
And then there's the trick time~~~~
First up is the bard, Nemo! Actor, Book Friend, Nemo!
Xiaojing: Why would you want a bard-like character pinch?
Nemo: Because bards can drink!
Xiaojing: Huh? Wine?
Nemo: I once got drunk because of love, and it was unforgettable, so I hope that the character Nemo can drink a little more, and I heard that when you get drunk, you don't think too much, and there is no pain.
Xiaojing: Is that why it's the case?
Nemo (plucks the strings): I didn't come back as scheduled, this is the official meaning of parting.
Little Mirror: Uh...... Next......
……
Dark Templar, Ham-El! Actor, book friend, Huang Yinglong!
Xiaojing: How do you feel about playing a non-human role?
Huang Yinglong: Wonderful, wonderful. Understand human beings from different species and understand the shining points of human beings, after all, aliens have read the three-body problem.
Xiaojing: Huh? Aliens read the Three-Body Problem?
Huang Yinglong: Ham Eyre has read some of the works on the three-body problem and human beings.
Xiaojing: Well, it seems that this is an alien who likes human culture very much! So what do you want to say about Ham Eyre?
Huang Yinglong: Dark Templar, a very powerful character. It is an honor to play this role, and thank you also to the author. Although in the text, the star spirit is torn apart. But every surviving Astral is not alone, and every Astral warrior is bound by glory and tradition. No matter which team is right, you will fight side by side with the recognized players. I want to believe that a brave man like the protagonist will awaken and go to the path of his own strong.
Xiaojing: Well, I'm looking forward to the next performance!
……
So, this summary is over, and "Borderlands 2" is over. Next, it's time to go to Skynet's troubles!!
