Chapter Forty-Eight: The Cyborg Ape
Outside his window, there was a monster with a hideous face.
It's large, but it's very flexible to hang on the wall. Its head was hideous and terrifying, and its scarlet lips turned out, revealing its fangs inside. But it was no ordinary creature, its chest covered in a mess of hair, faintly revealing a metallic glow. Its left arm is purely mechanical, while its right upper arm is flesh and blood, and it is not connected to the elbow until it becomes a machine.
The monster's entire appearance looked like a combination of a gorilla and a mechanical creation.
Levi recognized this kind of monster, because just before, when he was exercising in the practice room, he also found some information about hunters to see, the most important of which was the illustrated book and information of various monsters. It just so happened that he had seen this kind of monster.
This is an alien ape, at least, the physical part is an alien ape. This guy should be modeled after an alien ape and made of mechanical transformation.
It's a very uncomfortable thing to be stared at by such a guy. And Levi was 100% sure that the reddened eyes of the cyborg ape were definitely not from good intentions.
This is the upper floor! It's a four-leaf clover division! It's the witcher's lair! When did such a monster become so bold? Is it about to change?
Levi cursed in his heart. But the enemy still has to be dealt with, and he decides to strike first.
With one hand, he held the hilt of the knife at his waist, and with the other he pulled out the pistol that had just been put back into the belt of his belt.
The writing wheel is opened, and the muzzle of the gun is aimed at the head of the cyborg ape.
Fire!
The piercing bullet shattered the glass, and three bullets in a row shot directly into the ape's head, one embedded in its head, one passed through its mouth, and one blinded it in one eye.
An injury that is absolutely fatal to ordinary people, at most, it has put this monster into a state of minor injury. The monster roared loudly, and as soon as its arm was lifted from the window, its whole body rushed into Levi's house, and it rushed towards him with its teeth and claws.
"The secondary puncture bullet can't move this thing......" scolded in his heart, but fortunately he didn't pin all his hopes on the bullet.
As he fired, his other hand was on the hilt of the sword, charging up the demon slash. And when the monster rushes in, the accumulation of the power of the ghosts and gods is already complete.
The speed of the [Ghost Slash] move is very slow, and the key lies in this charge. According to Levi's current ability, if he wants to complete the ghost slash, he needs at least half a second of charging time, and the longest can reach three seconds. The longer it takes to charge, the more powerful the Demon Slash will be.
The power of the three-second fully charged ghost slash can almost reach more than ten times that of the half-second charge, which should be the most lethal skill he has mastered so far.
When the cyborg ape rushed in front of him after a breath or two, he gripped the hand on the hilt.
The short knife was pulled out of the scabbard, and at the same time, the surging power of the ghosts and gods surged above the blade, dyeing the sword light into purple and blue.
This ghost slash, although it was not able to reach the maximum level of charge, but the power was already very good. The cyborg ape was slashed out by Levi at a faster speed than when it rushed in, and its body slammed into the wall of the room, and even hit a layer of spiderweb-like cracks.
Levi squinted and saw that the monster seemed to have lost its ability to move. His ghost slash slashed at the chest of the cyborg ape. The thick black hair was scorched by the power of the demons, and a huge crack was cut out of the body inside.
Through the insight of the writing wheel, Levi also saw a sparkling core in the half-mechanical, half-flesh body.
Walking up and making up for it, Levi chopped off the head of the alien ape lying on the ground unable to move, but still twitching, and completely ended its pathetic life.
Recalling the feeling when he used the ghost slash before, as well as the speed at which the monster rushed over, Levi also had a rough judgment of its strength: it should almost be the strength of a human who has just entered the limit level.
Levi thought it would be stronger, and he remembered the information he had seen on the Bestiary: "This monster has a lot of strength, and a very agile and flexible body. It is not recommended for hunters of the extreme level to deal with it alone, and it is recommended to hunt the monster in a squad size of three to five people. โ
But this semi-mechanized thing in front of him is obviously not up to the level of the alien ape's 'needs a team of three to five people to hunt'.
Not to mention that this thing can't even withstand a single trick, after all, after Levi has broken through in strength, he has definitely exceeded the level of the ordinary limit level. Let's just talk about the most ordinary extreme level hunter, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to deal with this mechanical ape.
It seems that this mechanized transformation has not been able to improve the strength of the monster, but has reduced it.
Li Wei felt that the original intention of this mechanical transformation should not be to improve the strength of the monster, but to 'control'. A certain force, using this transformation technology, spent a certain price to capture some monsters alive, transform and control them for their own use.
Crouching down, Levi examined the headless corpse of the semi-mechanized ape. He wanted to see if this monster would have a flesh core like a normal monster.
Levi had indeed found the core of flesh - the sparkling thing that had been stabbed in the ape's chest that had been slashed by him earlier.
Gouging it out and placing it in front of him, Levi recognized that it was indeed the core of flesh and blood, but it had been transformed.
Half of the structure has been replaced with a mechanical artifact. A core of energy, about half the size of a fist, made of compressed amethyst, powers the cyborg heart.
Upon further examination, Levi could feel that there was an extremely small amount of life force in the flesh and blood structure of the other part of this semi-mechanical heart, which was only about one-fifth of a D-class genetic fluid.
Li Weiluo was a little depressed, such a monster had to be hacked to death fifty heads in order to get the vitality equivalent to the C-level flesh core, which was too much of a loss.
However, no matter how small the mosquito is, it is still meat, and Li Wei still wasted some effort and included the energy of these flesh and blood cores in the Book of Ten Thousand Laws.
After examining the flesh core, Levi continued to rummage through the corpse of the head monster to see if he could get anything else.
He couldn't find anything he could use, but he saw a very special pattern on the monster's purely mechanical left arm.
"Black two-headed bird logo? This monster is a product of Blackbird Heavy Industries? โ
Levi was thinking about it, and suddenly heard a bang outside the door!
