Chapter 86: Dragon City Garden, Mysterious Beauty
Jiajia is one of the most mysterious girls I know.
Every time I pass by Dragon City Garden, I can't help but think of her.
Since one of the editorial offices of the book company that published my copy of "Love Every Day" is located in Longcheng Garden in the northern suburbs, it is only two or three stops away from Huilongguan Village, where I temporarily live, which is very close and convenient. For many days after that, I used to go to the editorial office there and give them new book topics and manuscripts.
I'm just a writer, and I only feel safe if I code non-stop.
The new topic was quickly decided, and it was planned to publish a collection of my original love stories.
I walked out of the editorial office in a huff.
With a light breeze and a bright sunshine, and a faint fragrance of flowers wafting in the air, such a refreshing day is rare in Beijing in memory. After coming out of the editorial office, I sat on the stones of a waterside green space in Longcheng Garden, blowing the cool breeze comfortably, admiring the villa style in the north of Beijing.
At this time, Jiajia took her black Tibetan mastiff that I later learned to be called Jack and walked to me, Jiajia's big eyes looked at me, and her flower-like face made my heart beat; Jack's equally big eyes stared coldly at my legs, and the expression that seemed to be wondering where to take a mouth made my heart beat as well.
"Why does this dog think of me like that?" I asked its owner, "Look, your legs and stomach tremble!" ”
"Because you've entered its precinct," Jiajia said justifiably, "that is where it often pees!" ”
It dawned on me and I got up and gave up my seat.
Jack walked slowly to where I had been seated, lifted his hind legs, and expelled a puddle of fluid with pleasure and no one else, and then glared coldly at me with the dog's eyes, its tall tail standing defiantly like a flag.
"It's really a dog's eye and people are low!" I muttered and ran.
"Don't run!" Jiajia shouted behind her, "Run, run!" ”
Before I could finish speaking, a dark shadow swept over me with the sound of the wind.
I lay down on the grass in a rage, and I opened my eyes in horror to find that Jack had been pulled aside by Jiajia.
"Are you alright?" Jiajia asked me from ten meters away.
"I don't think I really bite," I said as I got up and patted the dirt, "but it kissed me a few times and salivated my face!" ”
"You don't like you live here, do you?" Jiajia thought about it.
"No," I said earnestly as I looked into Jiajia's big eyes, "and went to the editorial office inside!" ”
"I know," Jiajia said with a smile, "I asked you on purpose!" ”
"Can I go now?" I tentatively asked, "Will it still pick me up?" ”
"No," Jiajia affirmed, "don't run next time you see it!" ”
"I see," I said to Jiajia with a forced smile, "goodbye!" ”
Jiajia smiled lightly.
Jack "buzzed" at me twice, his voice was hoarse and deafening, which was thrilling.
"Walking a dog without a leash is equivalent to a dog walking a dog!" I muttered and walked towards the gate of the Dragon City Garden, "However, this little girl is very beautiful, and her eyes are bigger than a cow's eyes!" ”
This is how Jiajia and I met in Longcheng Garden, north of Beijing.
My original plan was to seriously organize my own collection of love stories, but my plan was far less rapid than the book company, and just as I was sorting out the scattered love stories into a book, the book company wanted to publish a set of books about the world of talking as soon as possible. The love story collection ran aground, and I began to focus on the manuscripts of books I didn't like about the world.
I write manuscripts that I don't like because they often bring me money.
There are still few people in Dragon City Garden, but that doesn't stop me from meeting Jiajia every time I go there. Every time I passed by her house, I could always see her walking with the mastiff named Jack. Gradually, Jiajia and I got acquainted with each other, and learned that she did not go to school or work, and lived alone in a villa in Longcheng Garden. I've always wondered how she, who seems to be only eighteen or nineteen, could have such a big villa by herself, without having to go to work, but without worrying about food and clothing.
My question was answered after Jiajia and I went to the Beijing Agricultural College opposite Longcheng Garden.
"If I were in school, I would be a freshman by now," Jiajia whispered to me after looking at the long row of shop windows and colorful billboards, "and it would be just like them!" ”
Jiajia said softly, quietly looking at the playground, looking at the campus full of warmth and tranquility in the sunlight with that dream-like blur, and looking at the boys and girls who were in the mood for love like her. Her voice was faint, damp with all the moisture.
"What's different about you and them?" I asked, puzzled.
"They're students," Jiajia said again, "and I'm just ......"
"Just what?" I wondered even more.
"Actually, I won't tell you," Jiajia lowered her head after thinking for a moment, "Actually, I'm just a wrapped second wife......"
I looked at Jiajia in a daze and was silent.
This answer was not at all surprising to me, but it was not the answer I wanted.
"It's really a hot profession," I said after a moment of silence trying to defuse the embarrassment, "Actually, we writers are no different from the second wife, except that the second wife is fostered with the body, while we are fostered with the soul!" ”
"And what do you want to write?" Jiajia asked with interest.
"I want to write some love stories," I said earnestly, "some love stories about truth, goodness and beauty, even if they appear in the guise of an alternative edge, which is so far removed from what I am writing now, almost irrelevant!" ”
"Have you ever experienced love?" Jiajia asked suddenly.
"I came to Beijing for love!" I laughed.
"Would you like to write my story as well?" Jiajia smiled slightly, "I'll give you the manuscript fee!" ”
"Of course you can!" I cynically said, "I'm a writer, I write everything, and it's always been my code ......word principle to see money," I began to talk about my precarious and overstretched writer's life, I thought it was just a joke between Jiajia and me.
"Come with me!" Jiajia smiled and said, "Let's go back now, I'll give you the manuscript fee!" ”
"Not kidding?" I asked, puzzled.
"No," Jiajia said with great certainty, "haven't you always wanted to visit my house?" ”
"Of course," I said happily, "I'm so curious!" ”
"Let's go!" Jia Jia smiled.
I followed Jiajia towards Dragon City Garden across the road.
I had mixed feelings along the way.
