Choice 1.2 Chapter 21 - Claire's Experience
"What's that?" Leon asked, puzzled.
"It's it! It's that monster that blew up the flying helicopter with a rocket! Claire said with some horror: "When I arrived at the police station, I found a helicopter coming to the rescue, just as it was landing. There's a monster that fires rockets at the plane! ”
Claire began to recount her previous experience, and Leon and Su Tianzong listened quietly.
Since separating from Leon and Su Tianzong, Czeel arrived at the police headquarters without firing a shot. The zombies that appeared on the streets of Raccoon City were very persistent, but they were slow to move, and because of the adrenaline secreted by their bodies, they were able to easily walk through these zombies. She thinks the zombies can probably hear the sound of items being destroyed, and that they rely on their noses to find surviving humans. Although a dozen zombies found her at close range, at least more than half of them had entered the stage of decay, and some of the zombies' flesh had begun to fall off their bones.
As she was curiously observing the street and thinking about what was going on, she unknowingly arrived at the police headquarters. I've been here twice before when I came to visit my brother Chris. But he never went in. Of course, there has never been the experience of being chased by a hostile man-eating demon in this cold, rancid air.
Since there were still a few patrol cars and a few police officers who had turned into zombies on the street outside the door, Claire walked in as soon as she confirmed that this was the police headquarters, and then walked through the small makeshift parking lot and equipment storage area to the gravel atrium. She had had lunch with Chris, and the two of them were sitting on the stairs leading to the helipad on the second floor of headquarters.
After easily dodging the two zombies roaming aimlessly in police uniforms, Claire finally feels a sense of security, but she fails to spot the woman who has come back from the dead in time. It was a woman in a cute vest, but covered in slimy blood, and a hand stretched out weakly and moaned as she flashed out from the shadows below the stairs, trying to grab Claire's wrist with her cold, scarred hand.
Claire screams in horror and quickly backs away - only to crash into the arms of another zombie. The guy was tall, and it turned out to be a rotting man with broad shoulders who emerged from under the metal staircase, and he didn't make any sound. Claire flashed to the side and aimed the gun in her hand at the male zombie.
At this point, she felt her leg hit the railing on the stairs leading to the roof. The female zombie was five feet to Claire's right, her hand still desperately reaching forward. The male zombie was still one step away from Claire, and she had no way back no matter what.
Claire had no choice but to pull the trigger, and Browning made a loud sound while jumping in his hand, almost getting out of his hand. The right half of the male zombie's rotting and flabby head was blown away, and a black, viscous liquid erupted from the shattered skull.
Immediately afterward, Claire aimed her gun across the pale face of the female zombie and opened fire. The deafening sound of gunfire completely engulfed the other man's moans, and his forehead, which was like white ash, cracked apart as blood foam and bone fragments were entered. The female zombie slowly fell backwards and fell down the passage, finally turning her into a real corpse, but even those of her own kind around her would not be scared away when they saw this corpse.
The real feeling is finally boiling, since the trigger was pulled just now. Claire understood that the situation in front of her was real. This consciousness made her unable to do anything for a short time, and she could only stare blankly at the two decomposing corpses on the ground, while recalling the scene when her life was hanging by a thread. She'd been to the shooting range dozens of times, but that was just shooting at a paper target with a practice revolver. The target will not bleed, and it will not be like the two people who were killed by themselves just now.
"That's not right." Claire said to herself, "No, it's not like that, it's not human. Now is not the time to think about these frivolous things, maybe Leon has already gone inside and started looking for me everywhere. Also, if S.T.A.R.S is gathered, maybe my brother will be here. ”
Although this thought alone was not enough to get the body moving, the two zombies that Claire had shaken past when she had just entered the atrium had slowly leaned over at this time. So she had to run up the stairs quickly, and the sound of hurried footsteps sounded deafening. This is due to the temporary effects of Browning's gunshots on hearing, and it is precisely because of this. She didn't notice the sound of a helicopter until she reached the rooftop.
Claire stopped as soon as she jumped onto the roof. The fierce wind blew regularly on her bare shoulders, and she saw a large black object in the air. Although the helicopter hovered near the old water supply tower southwest of the tarmac, Claire did not know whether it was taking off or landing.
I don't know, but it's fine anyway. "Hey!" Claire exclaimed, and raised her left hand alof, "Hey! Over here! ”
Her words were swallowed up by a whirlwind from the helicopter, and only the regular propeller turning could be heard on the roof. Claire waved her arms desperately, feeling like she had won the Mark Six lottery.
"Someone's coming! Thank God! Claire exclaimed excitedly.
A dazzling light shone from the center of the hovering helicopter on the roof...... However, the direction was wrong. It seems to be moving away from Claire. So she stepped up and took a deep breath to chant again. She could see that the helicopter had a police sign on it, and it should have been sent by the police to rescue it.
She saw what was shining from the searchlight, and heard the screams of the dead monsters that had been blown away by the roar of the helicopter. In the corner of the tarmac across the stairs stood a male police officer. From a distance, he appears to be holding a machine gun, presumably a living human.
"We could have been rescued, but ......," Claire said with a pause, as if unwilling to recall the horrific scene. Leon and Su Tianzong glanced at each other, not knowing what Claire had experienced.
Calming down a bit, Claire then recounts what happened next.
