Now, more than 40 years later, there are even some members of the team involved in this matter, but the natural gas in that sinkhole is still boiling and burning. If you fly over the desert at night, you will see a round crater like Hellfire, which is embedded in the surface of the earth.

This is known as the "Gates of Hell". It burns 50 billion cubic meters of natural gas every year, worth hundreds of millions of dollars. However, the captain's words were eventually fulfilled, and tens of thousands of tourists and curiosity seekers come here every year to visit, and even the brave even try to go down to explore.

But the village of Darwaza did not get rich. In 2004, the village was relocated by the government due to its deep desert and lack of water and resources, making it no longer suitable for human habitation. The village, which was originally depressed, ended up in ruins.
