Chapter Twenty-Four: Murder by Explosion
Cheng Huan was embarrassed by his burning gaze.
"The little guy is in good spirits," the doctor reached out and teased Satsuma who poked his head out of Cheng Huan's arms.
"Can you fight?"
The doctor who wanted to be close was taken aback by Jing Hao's cold tone.
"Yes," he chuckled dryly, bending down in a gesture of please.
Jing Hao took Satsuma from Cheng Huan's hand and followed in without saying a word.
Cheng Huan consciously waited in the hall, looking at the pile of toys that beckoned cats and dogs.
Suddenly, she found a beautiful collar in the corner, with a small brass bell hanging from a light blue background, which made a pleasant crisp sound when slightly shaken.
"Peas must look good when they wear them," she paid beautifully.
Turning around, Jing Hao had already walked out with the dog in his arms.
Facing the alienated face, Cheng Huan subconsciously hid the collar behind him and followed into the car.
On the way back, she took the opportunity to give the dog a coat and secretly put it on.
The spirited Satsuma is an idle master, and as soon as the car door opens, it can't wait to run out.
"What sound?" Jing Hao raised his eyelids and looked at her through the rearview mirror.
Cheng Huan smiled awkwardly, "I bought a collar for it......"
Seeing that the man still had a wooden face, she swallowed nervously, "If you don't like me, you can pick it up." β
Just as she was waiting for her mouth to be dry, the man pulled out the key and got out of the car.
"Private belongings are not reimbursed."
Hearing this, Cheng Huan raised his head in surprise, but found that the person had already led the dog away.
After getting along for so many days, Cheng Huan finally showed a heartfelt smile.
He doesn't seem to be that annoying.
Throughout the day, Cheng Huan was in high spirits, humming even if he was asked to redo the form six times.
The sound of noisy footsteps heralds the end of working hours.
At the same time, the door was opened.
"Let's go," Jing Hao, who had changed her clothes, threw a small suitcase to her.
"Okay," Cheng Huan stood up from his seat.
The stomach grunted twice, and Cheng Huan, who was so embarrassed that he exploded, turned red.
"Mr. Jing is sorry, I have a bad stomach at noon, can you please wait for me?"
"Go and come back quickly," Jing Hao glanced at her with disgust.
"Okay."
Not long after Cheng Huan entered the toilet, a loud explosion suddenly exploded outside, followed by the noisy screams of the crowd.
"What's wrong?" She muttered to herself.
When I went out and looked through the window, I saw thick smoke billowing outside, and a car was burned to the point that only a mutilated skeleton remained.
There was a broken sign lying on the ground, and Cheng Huan looked at it fixedly, "817." β
In an instant, fear crept up his spine, and a drop of cold sweat silently sank into the carpet.
"Mr. Jing," she hurriedly ran back to the office.
It was empty, and she gasped sharply, turning and running downstairs.
There were already a lot of people gathered outside, including security guards and firefighters, and she pushed through the heavy walls of people and squeezed in.
In the middle, there was a lonely person, holding his hand on the lever of the suitcase, looking indifferently at everything in front of him.
"Mr. Jing."
Seeing him standing in place unharmed, Cheng Huan's limbs were weak and he almost collapsed to the ground.
"The trip is canceled," Jinghao's face sank like water.
"Yes."
Cheng Huan took the suitcase from his hand and watched him enter the office building.
The sky was a little dark, and Jing Hao sat in the office without saying a word.
The door was pushed open, and Ji Xiaobai broke in in a hurry, "Are you okay?" β
"What do you want?" Jing Hao raised his eyes to look at him.
"What do you mean?" Ji Xiaobai frowned, "You doubt me?" β
"The only people who know about this matter are you and me and Cheng Huan from beginning to end," Jing Hao knocked on the table, "Who do you think I should believe?" β
"What if I say it's not me?"
Jing Hao didn't speak, his eyes fell on the corner.
"Okay, don't believe me," Ji Xiaobai threw his phone on the desktop, "You can check all my recent whereabouts, call logs, and even text messages." β
With that, he slammed the door and left.
It wasn't until the aftermath of the tremors completely dissipated that Jing Hao spoke in a low voice, "How I wish it wasn't you." β
Cheng Huan did not go home, but sat in the office across the wall from him.
The initial fright faded, and she was more scared at this time.
This kind of murder scene, which can only be presented in a movie novel, actually happened, and it almost happened to her.
After hesitating for a long time, Cheng Huan still knocked on the door next door.
"Mr. Jing ......"
"Is there something wrong?"
The room without the lights could not see people's faces clearly, and Jing Hao's voice was unusually low.
"I'm sorry I was derelict in my duty to protect you."
Cheng Huan didn't dare to look into his eyes, like a child making a mistake, with his hands behind his back.
"It's none of your business, if it weren't for you, I would have been shattered into slag with the car."
I don't know if it's the reason for the rest of her life after the catastrophe, she feels that the ghostly tone is a lot more relaxed.
"Then I'll go first," Cheng Huan lowered his head.
Suddenly, the lights came on.
Cheng Huan, who was stunned, was stunned for a moment, and a voice suddenly sounded behind him, "Have you told others about my itinerary?" β
The man's words seemed to wake her up, and the originally lowered head briefly rose and fell again, "No, no." β
"Let's get out," Jing Hao had already seen her little movements.
"Yes."
Cheng Huan was a little panicked in her heart, but she didn't want to or believe that the naΓ―ve Lu Jia could do such a terrifying thing.
The phone vibrated twice, and it was sent by Lu Jia.
"Cheng Huan heard that there was an explosion at the door of the company, are you okay? I've made dinner and I'll be waiting for you to get back. β
She looked at the text messages full of concern between the lines, and suppressed the thoughts she had just messed up.
You shouldn't just doubt your friends.
"It's okay, I'll be home in a minute," she sighed.
As soon as she entered the door, Lu Jia pulled her over with an anxious face, "Are you back?" Scared the hell out of me. β
"Haven't I stood here properly?" Cheng Huan smiled.
"Besides, I don't know if I want to send a message to keep me safe," Lu Jia pouted dissatisfiedly, "By the way, Mr. Jing is okay, right?" β
Her eyes were clear, and her reddish cheeks were shy, not like she was pretending.
"He," Cheng Huan deliberately bought a pass.
"What's wrong?" Lu Jia looked at her eagerly.
"Your sweetheart is fine~"
Lu Jia patted his chest, and pounced on her with teeth and claws, "I'll die if I finish talking in one breath!" β
"If something happens to him, can I still stand here? I have long apologized,"
Cheng Huan dodged three jumps and two jumps.
"I won't mess with you," Lu Jia, who was a little embarrassed, snorted and walked to the kitchen.
Looking at the red-faced man who was ridiculed, Cheng Huan shook his head, silently spitting on himself in his heart, "Let's just say that you think too much." β
