Designation: ofTum236 (non-existent box)

Morphology: Unknown

Containment/Destruction Procedures: Cannot be contained/destroyed

Level: 03 (essential for the development of human civilization) White (neutral in itself)

Description: First discovered ofTum236 on December 30, 1934, in Birmingham, England, a woman reported to the local police station claiming that her husband was missing. A week later, her husband showed up at home and claimed to be in the 1933 film King Kong. The individual disappeared again a month later and has never been seen again.

Since then, people around the world have been receiving disappearances claiming to be in movies or another world. After investigation, it is consistent with the movies released at that time, including but not limited to King Kong and other movies.

The incident attracted the attention of Germany, France, Japan, the United States, the Soviet Union and other countries at that time, and an investigation was launched. The United States benefited from this, and given the amount of time required for in-depth research, Congress passed a neutrality bill stating that it would not interfere in international affairs outside the Americas. At the same time, the ofTum-236 intelligence collection network was established.

In 1938, there was progress in the study of ofTum-236, and it was believed that there was no fixed order in which people would enter the movie, but was completely random. In general, countries with more populous populations are more likely to be randomized. The research aspect is proposed to Congress. In 1938, it agreed to provide war aid to the world's most populous countries, including China and the Soviet Union, in exchange for more specific information.

When the First World War broke out in 1939, the matter became less enthusiastic and was put on hold. At that time, the United States was forced into the war, and in view of the fact that the investigation of ofTum-236 did not yield substantial results, Congress terminated the investigation of ofTum-236, and all files were moved to an area of Lincoln County in southern Nevada.

In 1943, the Soviet Union invaded Germany and obtained relevant materials on German research on ofTum-236 at that time, some of which were obtained by American agents. As a result, in 1944, the United States set up a research institute in Lincolnshire, where the archives were located, claiming to be a military base and named Area 51. A large number of studies on occult objects, including 236, are also conducted in Area 51. These include ofTum-15, ofTum-54, ofTum-57, ofTum-183, etc.

In 1945, World War II ended. The United States, the Soviet Union, France, the United Kingdom, etc., on ofTum-236 research resumed. Among them, the United States has made the fastest progress.

In the same year, in order to speed up the research, the Motion Picture Association of America established a special international business unit, the American Film Export Association, with the goal of "rebuilding American cinema on the world market."

After the establishment of ofTum, all research data on ofTum-236 in the world was approved by Committee 02 to be transferred to Area 51. And what was then called the "box that did not exist" was officially designated ofTum-236. Individuals entering are to be designated ofTum-236-x

Any individual entering ofTum236 is to carry the following equipment, but not limited to, the following.

Note: Due to the fact that some dramas will perceive hostility when entering with a weapon, the weapon provided must not be too conspicuous.

The form of ofTum-236 has not been determined, and no information has been provided to confirm what it is. It's impossible to know what its purpose is.

What is known is that SCP-236 will randomly select people from all over the world and place them in the movie. This process is irreversible and access cannot be avoided by any known means.

The movie genre is random, and everything that has been released has been entered, and it has nothing to do with the popularity of the movie. Most of them are horror films, science fiction films and other movies with great danger. The age of the people who are selected into it is also immediate. In 1986 and 2001, there were 1-year-old babies and 86-year-olds, respectively.

The largest known number of people entered was 46.

Individuals returning from ofTum-236 are able to bring objects brought in from the real world, but are unable to bring out objects belonging to SCP-236. Including bacteria, viruses. A unit larger than an atom and smaller than an atom. Even so, we will still check the body of the returning individual in case of accidents.

Real-world objects can be brought in and brought out. And what's inside can't be brought out. I think ofTum-236 has a unique, or rather its own rules. Just like the magic learned in Harry Potter, in principle, the molecules that make up the magic are also considered "things inside", but they can be brought out. Can we think so, this is because magic is a "thing" that belongs to "me". - Dr. Arnold (04 blue)

There seems to be a limit to the number of objects that can be carried, and it has been concluded that the total size and mass of the objects carried cannot exceed that of individuals. This means that we cannot provide individuals with too much technology and too much assistance

The primary task of ofTum236 instances is to survive the films, and secondarily to obtain relevant materials from some of the most valuable films. Contributions are rewarded according to their importance. But be careful, these need to be done without a threat to your life. We do not approve of or support the loss of any person for the sake of information. Each and every one of you is a precious treasure to humanity.

"I came up with a great idea. We always passively accept the movies arranged by 236, why can't we be proactive and make a lot of movies with the technology we need? "In 1991, researcher Ивaн (Ivan) (06 green) made this proposal.

The proposal resulted in the disappearance of all participants and is still unknown.

This is the first time to date that ofTum-236 has reacted to the outside world.

In 1999, Dr. Harris (06 Cyan) proposed that SCP-236 instances were required to carry a voice recorder and camera device upon entry.

Since the U.S. government had conducted the same test in 1946, it still used honest camera and audio recording equipment, and there were no adverse consequences. In view of this, the 03 committee group adopted this proposal.

However, this proposal led to extremely serious consequences, as 5 (1) instances involved in the experiment vanished forever upon entry.

Experiment Archive ofTum-236-a

Committee 03: Every SCP-236 instance is an asset to us, and given the results of testing in recent years, any action that could provoke ofTum-236 is forbidden. All relevant audition materials are eliminated.

Instances of ofTum-236 will re-enter at the same time one month after their return, and it is not yet possible to tell how instances of Tum-236 disappeared at the current level of human technology. The most powerful analysis currently has the decomposition of the individual into atomic units, which are reconstituted within SCP-236. After multiple experiments, when SCP-236 returns to the real world, it will reject the molecular ordering of the existing space, forming an environment similar to a "vacuum field", providing a safe return to the individual.

But the others will remain intact, and they will inexplicably fall into some kind of object. On more than one occasion, we have received reports of individuals returning with their bodies trapped in car hoods, garbage heaps, or other objects. It has also been verified in several internal trials.

We would like to advise that the indiscriminate selection of locations is extremely dangerous, and that any SCP-236 instance should ensure that the location is absolutely empty when entering SCP-236. There is no room for surprises. It is recommended that all ofTum who see this file enter the safe house provided by the regional base as much as possible.

Notes: It is uncertain whether any living or non-living units other than humans can enter ofTum236 instances.

When the first individual to enter ofTum-236 appears, within one hour, the same subject as the one will enter the same movie as the one.

For example, if you enter Resident Evil at 14:00 p.m., you should also enter after 14:00, and individuals who enter before 15:00 will also enter Resident Evil.

That's interesting. Whether it is the interval of entry of a month or the delay of an hour, it is according to the method of human calculation. This may be a coincidence, but is it possible that ofTum-236 possesses some kind of intelligence? Or the rules? - Dr. Arnold (04 blue)

Upon entering ofTum-236, the subject's location will also be immediate, but will appear at the beginning of the plot. Warning: According to numerous accounts of SCP-236 instances, despite being random, you may be thrown into an extremely dangerous location upon entering. The story starts in an outer spaceship, and there's a good chance you'll be in space randomly!

It is worth noting that when two individuals have experienced the same movie and then re-enter, they will never appear in the same sequel. Even if the entry time is the same.

For example, A and B have both entered Star Wars 1 one after another. Then when they enter Star Wars 2 at the same time, they will not appear in the same plane and will be isolated. We speculate that perhaps this mechanic is meant to avoid plot conflicts.

……

Look at it for a longer time

Note 1

In 2001, Dr. Leonard (05 Green) submitted to Committee 02 to remove the number of ofTum236 instances that had been missing for more than 1 year. Only unmissing individuals are counted.

"Hey, that's too cumbersome. Can you understand the pain of reading or writing 'ofTum236-65703' in English? ”

03 Committee Group: To submit a rejection, you have to understand that it does not represent numbers. Perhaps this is the only proof that they ever lived in this world, and we cannot take it away.

In 2006, Dr. Leonard (06 blue), Dr. Eddy (06 blue), and Researcher Bell (06 green) submitted to Committee 03 to remove the number of ofTum236 instances that had been missing for more than 1 year.

I know what you guys think, but it's too much of a hassle. It's hard for me to tell how many of the hundreds of thousands of individuals are still alive.

Committee 02: Submitted, they won't come back, ever.

Note 2

The mortality rate of fTum-236 instances increases with the number of entries, with the current maximum number of entries and surviving being data hidden, with a total of 13 entries into the interior. (Entered in November 2006 and ceased to appear.) )

Note 3

Due to the high mortality rate of ofTum-236 instances, it is not recommended to serve in positions other than combatants.

Note 4

You can't have the heart to hurt others, and you can't have the heart to defend people. - Dr. Wang Linfu (05 blue)

Note 5

Why does 236 get people into the movies? Instead of anime, what about novels? Maybe it's because the movie is relatively complete and there will be no obvious holes in the worldview? We can't guess its purpose. - Dr. EDDY (06 blue)

Dr. eddy: Of course we can't guess, and who knows, maybe it's just a boring product of alien beings with too much more technological civilization than us? - Dr. Arnold (04 blue)
