Chapter Twenty-Three: Breaking Through Violence (Part II)
Qi Fang led Harry and the others along the dark and damp underground corridor, at the end of the corridor was a wooden door, and before the door could be opened, a "rustling" sound was heard.
"Do you hear me, like the sound of flapping wings?" Harry said.
"Just go in and see." Qi Fang stepped forward and gently pushed the door, but the wooden door was unlocked and opened as soon as he pushed it.
A bright, soft light spreads down.
Behind the wooden door was a room about the size of a Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, large and bright, with a high arched roof, and some small birds that sparkled like jewels flew above them, flapping their wings incessantly, and bright light emanated from them.
At the other end of the classroom is a wooden door.
After Qi Fang and the others entered the classroom, they saw these birds flapping their wings for the first time, and Ron said with some concern: "When we pass, will these birds attack us?" ”
"I don't know." Harry shook his head.
"Those are not birds, they are keys with wings." Qi Fang said.
"Key!?"
Harry and the three exclaimed in surprise, and then all looked at the wooden door opposite.
The purpose of these keys is apparently to be used to open the door to the next room.
"I'm afraid there are hundreds of keys here, how can I find the key to open the door?" Ron swallowed, his face very ugly.
Harry's face sank.
"Look, there's a couple of broomsticks there, and this level is obviously for us to grab a key to open the door, and they should be the work of Professor Felius Flitwick." Hermione said.
"I know that...... The question is how to open the door, we can't just grab it one by one. Ron exclaimed, exaggeratedly.
Hermione glared at him fiercely, as if she didn't bother to argue with him.
"You don't necessarily need a key to open the door, let's go."
Qi Fang led the three of them safely through the hall of the room, during which the key birds stayed in the sky calmly and did not fly down to attack them.
It was a heavy wooden door, and in addition to the keyhole and handle, there were hundreds of dense, finger-thick holes, like countless nail eyes.
"Looks like Snape has been here and made it through." Harry looked at the marks on the door and his heart sank. "What are we going to do?"
"Simple."
Qi Fang raised his hand and slammed his fist into the position of the keyhole, only to hear the "bang", his fist pierced the wooden door, and his arm passed directly through the door.
"That's it." Qi Fang laughed, and with a soft "click", the wooden door opened.
The moment the wooden door opened, there was a "buzzing" sound, and the winged keys seemed to receive the signal, and at the same time flapped their wings vigorously, rushing towards them like a swarm of bees.
"Let's go." Qi Fang said.
Harry's faces changed dramatically, and he hurriedly entered through the door.
Qi Fang walked last, and when the three of them had passed, he waved the door shut, and then brought a stone pillar and put it behind the door.
"Dada......"
A series of intense hits sounded, like countless darts nailed to the plank.
"Whew!"
The three of them exhaled deeply at the same time, looked at each other, and suddenly laughed.
"Don't know what's next?"
"Let's go and have a look."
Harry and Ron discussed quietly as they walked through a lunar-shaped arch into a dimly lit room, where they could only faintly see a towering statue due to the light, and an eerie aura came from them, quiet and eerie, chilling.
"Where is this, how does it look a bit like a cemetery?" Harry said.
"Don't be scary." Hermione's body shuddered and whispered. "I don't like it here, not at all!"
Ron's heart was also a little hairy, and his face had not been normal since he saw Mao Mao.
Qi Fang had already strode forward, and the three of them had to follow closely.
Upon entering the room, the light suddenly turned on, revealing the entire structure and layout of the room, and they could see the statues for what they really were.
"Wow, this is wizard chess, and the whole room is a chessboard." Ron said in surprise.
The statues they saw were chess pieces, nothing more than pawns that had been magnified a hundredfold. The black and white chess pieces are in place, and the strange thing is that the black chess pieces are carved very vividly, but the white chess pieces have blurred faces.
"The door is over there." Harry saw at a glance the door behind the white chess pieces across from them.
The four of them immediately walked forward, and as they approached the white chess pieces, the "soldier" suddenly came to life, brushed the ground and flashed his sword, blocking their way.
The long knife shone with a sharp light.
The three Harry were taken aback by the turn of events, and couldn't help but step back.
"These pieces are supposed to be Professor McGonagall's handiwork, and she has brought them to life." Hermione said. "What now?"
"Obviously, isn't it?" Ron said. "We're going to play chess to get through this room."
"Playing chess is too much of a waste of time." Qi Fang shook his head and said, "By the time we win this game, the Philosopher's Stone may have already been stolen." ”
"That's right." Harry nodded forcefully, the Philosopher's Stone was related to his personal safety, and he couldn't help but not care.
"What then?" Ron Road.
Qi Fang waved his hand and said, "You go out first, they will be handed over to me." ”
The three of them nodded and retreated outside the room.
Qi Fang stepped forward and threw a punch.
"Bang!"
With a bang, a "soldier" about the size of a normal person was blasted by his punch and shattered into more than a dozen pieces, and stone chips flew everywhere.
The remaining pieces seemed to be stimulated, brandishing their swords and charging at him, the horses neighing and the rooks squeaking and rolling......
Qi Fang looked relaxed, or punched, or kicked sideways, and all the incoming chess pieces were exploded.
After a few breaths, the white chess pieces were all shattered by him.
"Great!"
The three of them cheered and ran into the room.
"Don't come here." Qi said loudly.
The three of them couldn't help but be stunned and stopped.
At this moment, the gravel on the ground suddenly trembled, and the grains flew upside down, as if time had gone backwards, and the broken chess pieces returned to their original state in the blink of an eye.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione hurried out again.
The chess pieces went to Qi Fang again.
"Hah, that's kind of interesting." Qi Fang seemed to have expected it, and a faint smile appeared on his face.
When he smashed these chess pieces just now, he found that the energy on the chess pieces had not dissipated, and he had already guessed that there would be such a scene.
A pawn that can't be killed?
No, the chess pieces don't die because of the support of magic.
As long as that magical energy is dispersed, the chess pieces will naturally die.
Qi Fang's thoughts were racing, and then his body flickered, and three or four afterimages appeared at the same time, quickly shuttling between the chess pieces, and patting each chess piece lightly.
With each shot, a flash of golden light flashed.
"Porphyry."
A crisp cracking sound sounded, like many balloons being popped in succession.
In the blink of an eye, Qi Fang retreated to the center of the room, and the white chess pieces all stood silently, turning into real stone statues.
Harry and the three looked into the room from behind the archway, and although they saw the chess pieces stop, they still didn't dare to act rashly, and only walked in after Qi Fang stretched out his hand to greet them.
"Great, I don't know how many levels are down there." Harry said.
"We've seen Hagrid's three-headed dog, Professor Sprout's Devil's Net, Professor Feliwick's Bird Key, and Professor McGonagall's shape-shifting pawn. I'm guessing the rest is the level that Professor Quirrell and Snape have laid out. Hermione said.
"Professor Quirrell taught us Defence Against the Dark Arts, is it to fight?" Harry said.
"Just look at it." Hermione said.
As they spoke, several people had already passed through a dark corridor to the next room.
Before they could enter, they smelled a disgusting, musty smell that brought tears to their eyes.
Pushing open the door and entering the room, they saw a cave giant lying flat on the floor, large but without any breath, apparently dead.
On the other side of the room, there was a door that had been opened.
"Let's go, the smell here is unbearable." Hermione said, covering her nose.
A few people nodded, and walked briskly through the room.
The next room was empty, except for a table in the middle with seven bottles of different sizes containing liquids of the same color.
"Potions!" Hermione said. "It's obviously Snape's handiwork, I just don't know what he's up to."
A few people walked into the room, and as soon as they passed through the door, two flames "coaxed" to burn.
A purple flame burned at the gate where they entered, unleashing a wave of intense heat that cut off their path. Another black flame ignited at the gate opposite, exuding an eerie aura that blocked the way.
"We're stuck." Ron shouted.
"Let's see what Snape wants us to do." Hermione walked over to the table and picked up the paper from the table.
I saw that it said: There is danger in front of you, and there is safety in the back, if you find it. Two of us can help you, one of the seven will help you keep going, another will send you back where you came, and two of us are just regular nettle wine and three are deadly poisoned wine. If you don't want to stay here forever, go for it!
To help you choose, we have four tips: first, no matter how secret the poisoned wine is, you can always find it on the left side of the nettle; Second, it's always a different wine that stands on the edge, but if you keep moving inward, there's no good wine; Thirdly, as you can see, all bottles of different sizes, short or tall, are not dangerous; Fourth, the second on the left and the second on the right are actually a pair, although they don't look like each other.
"It's not magic, it's a guessing puzzle, and many great magicians like to guess." Hermione had an interesting smile on her face. "Of the seven bottles in front of us, three are poisonous, two are regular, one will allow us to pass safely through the black flames and the other will bring us back through the purple flames."
"The question is which bottle should we drink?" Ron asked.
"The answer is in the hint, let me think about it." Hermione took the paper and looked at the bottles on the table from time to time, silently calculating.
Qi Anxin secretly thought that if Wan Wan was here, he would probably drink all seven bottles of wine.
There is hardly any poisoned wine in this world that can kill her.
