Leng Longling Chapter 1 It's light, that's light

Two o'clock in the evening

I was awakened by urine at night, and I routinely went to the kitchen to replenish water after releasing water.

My sleepy eyes are hazy, I always feel so hard to open them completely, and my throat is dry like a land that hasn't rained in years

It was pitch black, and with the faint moonlight from the windows, I could barely make out the way to the kitchen, where the refrigerator control panel revealed the temperature figures of the refrigerator compartment as a separate light source, allowing me to move freely around the kitchen.

"Wait"

"Light? Is that light? ”

At this time, I was standing next to the water dispenser at the end of the kitchen, and after taking half a sip of water from my cup, I suddenly realized a strange problem, when I passed by the security door just now, there was a golden light in the cat's eyes.

This is a residential building built in 2003, with one ladder and two households at each door, the highest six floors, and the fifth and sixth floors run through the room type, forming an independent duplex, and there is no elevator in the corridor. Each floor is still lit with voice-activated lights, which are the most primitive lighting measures.

Due to disrepair, the sensitivity of each voice-activated light is different, I live on the fourth floor, the lights on the first and third floors of this building are the most sensitive, and the lights on the second floor will flash after hearing the sound of stomping, which is extremely unstable. Each time the light comes on, it lasts only 30 seconds and then turns off.

The lights on my floor are the most difficult to turn on, and they require a loud clap, and they have to be crisp and pleasant to light up. And the farthest distance that can control the lights is the corner between the third and fourth floors, and no matter how loud the sound is, there is no way to turn the lights on.

At two o'clock in the middle of the night, if you see the lights in the corridor turn on, there are only two results to predict, the first one, someone from the other door comes back, and the second one, there are firecrackers outside.

I drank water and thought about it, and came back to the door? It's impossible, the other door has been watching the children at my father-in-law's house for a long time, and it is impossible to come back so late.

Guns outside? It's even more impossible, I got up from the bed, went to the toilet again, and walked to the kitchen to drink water, this process was less than 1 minute, and I didn't hear any sound.

"Could it be a thief?"

At this time, I was vigilant, because the lights outside could never come on for no reason.

I put down the glass and walked gently to the door, put my right eye against the cat's eye and looked out, carefully observing everything in the corridor.

The hallway was very clean, there was no clutter and garbage, nothing except some dust on the ground.

After watching for ten seconds, the light went out, and after a second, the light came back on.

Suddenly, my brain buzzed, and it went blank, what a situation! I didn't hear anything!

At this time, there was no sleepiness at all, and every inch of skin on my body was raised with dense goosebumps at the moment when the lights were turned off, what was the situation!!

My eyes widened, longing for something I could see, even if it was a thief.

After 30 seconds, the light goes out, stagnates for 1 second, and the light rekindles again!!

"Oh no!"

I quickly moved away from the cat's eye, three steps backwards with a slow pace, and my mind went blank. There is still no sound from this resurgence.

My brain was thrashing, using all my existing knowledge to explain what was happening in front of me.

I stared at the cat's eyes, watching the light still shine in, and I waited for him to go out again, to see if he would continue to light up, and I wanted to see if it was an illusion, and I really didn't hear a sound. He really is a light! It's unbelievable!!
