Appendix 6 Geography
The continent of Midagal is made up of 6 vast areas, and the geographical name of the elves also has the meaning of local geomorphological features. The pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info are: Tours, Rant, Kurosawa, Isiltin, Esther, and Bayer.
The elves originated in Bair, explored all the way north, and eventually drew a detailed map of the entire continent. Bayer has a common climate, with snow in winter and hot summers. It is the largest area and leads north into the warm equator. The rainforest there is dense and wise, and during the six windless seasons, the rainforest's own steaming water falls overhead. Fallen leaves and dead wood covered the ground, over and over again. The birds and animals raised by the rainforest live a peaceful life here. Nothing bad has ever happened here in the last 3,000 years, and there is no hope for the future. This is the original homeland of the elves and the location of the first Ming of the Holy City.
The elven explorers made their way north, through a warm windless belt. Arrived at the largest desert on the entire continent: Esther. The holy city of Atta was founded. For here, the elves let the parched land gush out of living water to flow southward, called the River Fennas, to guide the way for all who want to cross the desert.
To the north, the elves saw for the first time a mist-shrouded peak, blocked by the damp trade winds blowing from the sea. Across the mountains, is Isiltin. The closest place to the stars on the continent is where the Nerdi of the Stars was founded. Because the elves want to build a tower and touch the stars in the sky.
Here, the humid air turns into rain and snow and flows into the rivers and lakes. The river that flows north from Lake Arnor is called the Jinshui River, and the river that originates from Lake Aisil is called the Yinshui River. The Yinshui River is to the west, and the Jinshui River is to the east. It nourishes the rich land of Rant in the north.
Continuing north, the familiar winter season reappears, only in the exact opposite of Beyer's season. -- Rante area
The central part of Rant is a flat grassland, where the fierce horses originate. The south is a dense forest where mysteries and spirits are hidden. The harsh winter mountains in the north also make this place even more different. The Ould Mountains to the west, the watershed between Rante and Tours, are a series of mountains with only grey and white passes.
The Oulder Mountains, rich in mineral veins, are where dwarves hide. They dug day and night in the mountains, indulging in their majestic temples. Metals and gemstones flow like rivers in the stones. The most dazzling of all is Mithril. The precious Haoyue Stone was abandoned as a useless stone in the waste stone.
The wealth here takes almost all the time in the world to be mined. The dwarves' underground palaces spread along with the mines, and some elves exclaimed: Be careful with the stones under your feet, maybe there is a nest of dwarves living in it.
To the west of the Oulder Mountains is the densely forested city of Tours. The west coast is buried by seabed debris brought by the sea, leaving beaches and flat seafloors. The forests of Tours are so dense that squirrels can jump from tree to tree and all the way to Rant. The further south you go, the more vegetation reveals the appearance of the Bayer rainforest. To the delight of the elves far from home, they established the holy city of Lin Pi here.
The further east you go, the wetter the land becomes. Dangerous wetlands, swamps, and fog guard the eastern part of Midangail, the Black Plain, where roads and foundations are difficult to build. While Kurosawa is also a lush and beautiful landscape in good season, it's far from enough for elves to settle here.
At this point, the Elven Era is 54 years, or the Bright Era 1004. The contours of the Midangail continent are formed.
