Chapter 53: Crinus White 2
The air suddenly became heavy, and even the impetuous motes sensed that something was approaching. Suddenly, with screams and noisy footsteps, one could clearly hear someone fleeing in this direction.
"Sounds like someone who has fallen here. Augst whispered.
There was a loud bang that sounded like a dull drum beat, but it was definitely not the drum face. Crying, shouting, and finally they banged on the wall. I don't know how long they escaped in this underground labyrinth, and how many people walked into a dead end and were killed by the terrible things in the dark. Their noisy voices were inaudible, perhaps praying, perhaps wailing. There is no doubt that death is looming at them.
"I'm glad we're stuck here. Ognair sat down and wiped his wand, which he couldn't use at the moment, "It must be terrible out there. There was no compassion on his face. Serena was also often hard-hearted, but she must have felt sorry for the innocent in her heart, and Ognair did not show any conscience.
Krinus approached the stone that sealed the gate and shouted to the other side, "What happened?"
Voices were heard, louder and louder. People seem to have met a life-saving straw and are rushing to be the first to cry for help. There were whispering voices, tears in their hearts, men and women, and the sound kept washing over the stone walls.
Krinus turned to Ogtst and whispered, "Do you think you can split this wall?"
Ogast nodded slightly in obedience, and reached out to draw his sword.
"I'm sorry I have an objection. Ognair stared at Krinos, "Except for our knights, who are all weak and weak here, can Lord Pendragon really repel danger and protect us at the same time?Besides, what is that dangerous thing? how many legs does it have, does it have claws, what is its purpose? You can't just put us in danger, and more importantly, why should you care about the lives of others?" he asked. There was more of a threatening look on his face, and his eyes were cold and empty.
As he spoke, there was another loud noise, this time accompanied by the crispness of the rock shattering.
"If I hadn't done something, I'd survived. This day will be an eternal scar for me, a story that I will never have the face to tell to others. Krinus made eye contact with him, "But, you're right. I don't have the authority to let everyone in this room accompany me on my adventures. β
Everyone froze, muffled voices kept coming, and the cries of the people became more and more desperate. It wasn't until the sound was close enough that Krinus could tell it was the brutal thud of flesh.
"Open the door!" a familiar voice from outside the stone wall broke the deadlock. It was Serena's voice, and she had undoubtedly fallen into it as well.
Realizing that this was the worst thing that could happen right now, Krinus rushed at Ognair before anyone else could react.
Ognair pulled Ebenard in front of him. It turned out that there was a sharp knife hidden in the wand he had been playing with, and now it was against Eberner's neck, and Krinos had to stop.
Augst was shocked by this scene.
Ognair replied with a cold look: "Compassion is it, is it? Virtues that are considered just are always unjust when they are given, and you can give up the lives of people you don't know and not see your friends die." But compassion is, after all, an 'unnatural emotion' created by lower beings. It should be so incapable of deep investigation and full of loopholes. β
"Will you hurt him?" Isaac said puzzled by all this, completely unaware of the current-for-tat situation.
"It's a pity that this is the case, I thought Mr. Krinus would be more rational." β
Then the wall began to glow again, and Krinus knew that it was the self-proclaimed messenger who was about to speak again.
"Time has led you to this moment. Shin said in a haughty tone, "But only one choice can be made." You can only open one of the two doors. β
Ognel pressed the knife to the hostage's neck, "Open the door to knowledge, I'm sure there is no objection here." β
The maze began to sound rhythmically with muffled thunder, as if death was harvesting life in an orderly manner.
The stone door slowly rose, sending up a puff of smoke and dust, and the blue light reflected the elongated shadow of Ognell trying to hold Ebernar hostage.
βNamarieγ Ognair said a good-bye, and then walked slowly through the door with Ebernar.
Ebner was then kicked out, and Ognair pulled down the trap to seal the door again. The stone door fell with a loud noise, cutting off the light source behind the door.
Slightly reluctantly, Krinus threw his head at the door of the labyrinth and shouted, "Ogst, split this damn door." β
"As you wish. β
Ogst swung his sword and slashed, leaving only shallow marks on the heavy stone door.
"What just happened?" said Ebner, a little stunned.
"What happened just now is that Mr. 'Jason' is in trouble. Krinus said.
The Holy Sword slashed again and again, but the door of the mysterious stone seemed unmoved.
"It looks like this door will never open. As he spoke, Augst raised his sword and was about to swing it, when the stone gate was suddenly hit by a huge force, and Krinus could only think of that dangerous thing attacking the place.
A large fist pierced through the hole, and the fist looked like it was covered in rock, and no doubt could easily crush the head of anyone present. This big hand was slowly withdrawn, not at all like it was fighting, but once it was shot, it was definitely a force to break through a thousand troops.
Serena somehow, a leap slipped through the gap in the stone door.
She held the dagger in her hand and looked at Shimen vigilantly, "Young men, the movement is too slow. β
