Mourning
I just got the news that Mr. Steve Hawking, a world-famous physicist, has passed away at the age of 76.
I first came into contact with Mr. Hawking because of his "A Brief History of Time", "The Universe in the Shell" and "The Great Design".
For a long time after that, I became obsessed with theoretical physics and cosmology. I had calculated Mr. Hawking's age at the time, and I was extremely worried about the old man...... He is too old, his days are going to be less, there will be fewer and fewer people to see him, and for Mr. Hawking, he may only have ten or five years left to live, but it is impossible to give birth to another Hawking in the next hundred years of this century.
Some people put Mr. Hawking and the great physicist Albert Einstein alongside, in the history of physics, in terms of achievements and contributions, Mr. Hawking may not be able to reach the height of Einstein, but this does not prevent him from becoming an Einstein-like giant.
It is hard for me to imagine that after Mr. Hawking leaves, there will be anyone in the physics community who can replace him, and in today's world, there may be many physicists who are more accomplished than Mr. Hawking, but none of them will become Hawking.
The people who accompanied you at the beginning left one by one, some into memories, some into history.
I can't help but panic that times are passing by at an elusive pace, and one day, we will all grow old.
