Section 10: Kill the Sentinel
2018/4/4
Gong Jianfei's diary:
We were fully prepared, and after an unhurried nearly two-hour journey, we arrived outside the village. Zhang Kong also brought the gangsters he captured alive. Our soldiers were divided into three ways, Zhang Kong and Li Na were in a group of two, and the remaining few of us armed police were divided into three halves, led by the dwarf me and Lao Wu respectively.
Zhang Kong divided the three people he brought with him into a group of us, so that we could get some information about standing guard through them.
Because it's night, we all choose some night vision sighting or thermal imaging sights. Zhang Kong doesn't need this guy at all, because he is an evolutionary. In the dark night, I could see that Zhang Kong's eyes were slightly fluorescent, and he looked really handsome. It would be nice if I were an evolutionary too, hahahaha!
Time to go.
Before parting, Zhang Kong gave me a scalpel for Lao Wu and the dwarf, and we didn't understand what Zhang Kong meant at the time, but we knew it when we saw the gangsters swallowing saliva. This knife is actually more intimidating than the gun in our hands in some ways.
We started to get closer to the village, and according to the plan my team was to start from the northernmost point and move inward. The air was a little cold, and I saw through my night vision goggles a man sitting on a chair on the roof. The man held a torch in his hand, looked at the sky and yawned. What a lazy pig, standing guard is so confused.
The gangster told me about the current situation in the village. The gangsters in the village gathered in several large courtyards in the center of the village. For safety, everyone basically sleeps together. Excluding them, there are a total of 132 people. It is not uncommon for them not to come back today, because it is not uncommon for people not to come back to the village, and they usually take the girl or food outside to enjoy themselves, and only come back the next morning while it is safe.
So in fact, these people did not suspect that one of their teams was destroyed or captured? That's good news.
There are 10 people standing guard every night, a total of five village entrances, and two people standing guard at each village entrance. Fortunately, Zhang Kong brought these guys thoughtfully, because the second person standing guard at the entrance of each village turned out to be a secret whistle! If we hadn't told us about it, we probably wouldn't know. Zhang Kong asked us strangely on the walkie-talkie why we didn't think of the dark whistle.
Lao Wu told Zhang Kong that the armed police are not a special service team, and there are no conditions for learning these specific military knowledge, and the special police may still exist, but the armed police really don't pay much attention to this aspect. At least we know a little more about field warfare than normal people.
At this point, Zhang Kong, even Li Na, laughed at a few of us mercilessly.
Ay... What have you done all these years to be so aggrieved...
After waiting for nearly 20 minutes, Zhang Kong signaled that we could start the lurk. I told Xiao Zhang and Xiao Li from our team to climb over the wall from the side and enter the village. The top of the wall is all glass ballast, which is used to prevent people from climbing, but to be honest, this thing can't stop us.
The sound of the glass seemed to have attracted the attention of the sentry, but he didn't expect to look at him so sleepy, his consciousness was still quite awake. It's a pity that their vision is really bad in the night, and coupled with the fear of being discovered by zombies and not lighting torches, these people are a group of blind people without the assistance of moonlight.
Xiao Lizi told me on the walkie-talkie that the two of them had pulled out the dark whistle, and signaled that I could kill the bright whistle. I raised my pistol and without hesitation shot the man sitting on the roof.
