Chapter 1: Magic
As night falls, London wakes up to the lights on.
The bright red double-decker buses moved forward in the rain, and the fine rain fell on the glass windows, and after being blown by the wind for a while, they slid backwards, causing ripples on the puddles.
The bus is not crowded, some passengers sit sparsely in all corners, or bow their heads to play with their mobile phones, or flip through newspapers and magazines, and no one wants to gossip.
A young single mother leans against the window of her car, taking advantage of her hard-earned leisure time to take a nap. She had a haggard and thin face, deep-sunken eyes, heavy dark circles under her eyes, and withered hands.
Her daughter, who was about eight or nine years old, was wearing a small dress, carved in pink and jade, childish and cute, turned around and knelt on the bus seat, hugged the back of the seat, pressed her chin against the top of the backrest, stared at the young Chinese sitting behind her with round eyes.
The young man was wearing a loose black trench coat and short hair, and he was crossing his legs and enjoying the night view of the city through the glass window.
This scene is unusual, but what really catches the attention of the little girl is the eyes of the young man.
It was a mixture of delight, banter, surprise, and interest, like a drunkard discovering a bottle of cherished cellar and a naughty boy discovering an expensive toy.
At the same time, he was holding a black marker pen and writing on a map of London, marking the streets of the city that seemed to be densely packed with veins.
The little girl tilted her neck to see the markings, but it was obvious that the difficulty factor of this action was too high, so she could only ask softly, "What are you doing?" ”
Leon turned his head and said with a smile, "I'm admiring the city. ”
The little girl raised her eyebrows, "Are you a tourist?" ”
"Sort of." Leon smiled gently, "It's my first time in London, and I've never seen the world. ”
The little girl let out an "oh" and thought for a while before asking, "What did you draw on the map?" ”
"I found something in London that I thought was interesting."
Leon's smile was bright, and he added, "Whenever I spot them, I mark them on the map."
Vampires, werewolves, wizards, mages, priests, agents, demons..."
This unrelated word is a little bizarre to a child, so much so that the girl's single-threaded brain has to work at full capacity, filtering and filtering the relevant information that she usually receives.
The little girl blinked in confusion and looked at each other with distrust.
"What I'm saying is true." Leon nodded solemnly and said solemnly: "There are really these monsters in London, as if there really is Peppa Pig." ”
"Peppa Pig is fake." The little girl's eyes became more and more distrustful, and she said seriously: "That's for children." ”
"No, Paige is real." Li Ang replied with the same seriousness: "Actually, Page also has a long-lost brother named Zhu Gangguan, who is a big demon who can eat five hundred pigs with one mouth. ”
In order to enhance his persuasiveness, Li Ang also deliberately posed for a bloody basin with a big mouth.
"Liar." The little girl sneered and replied in a low voice, "Pig Gangguan is also a pig, so why does he eat pigs?" ”
"Pig Gangguan is a sassy pig and has a lot to think about Page." Leon replied solemnly: "Paige's Daddy Pig knows the truth and won't let Sao Pig and Peppa be paired in pairs."
In a fit of rage, the pig ate up the entire pig city, and all the pigs in the city died, and none of them escaped. ”
Such a shady content did not make the little girl have the idea of "crooked, the police have a strange thing here" to call the police, but made her giggle.
Fortunately, her mother, who was sleeping against the window, moved, so that she was busy and restrained her laughter, and whispered to Leon, "Can I look at the map you drawn?" ”
"Absolutely."
Leon calmly handed her the map.
"What is this?" The girl pointed to the location of the Leicester Square tube station on the map, where Leon had drawn a top hat with a marker.
"This is where the wizard is."
Leon said with a smile: "Just take out your wand and click on one of the wall tiles in the Leicester Square tube station, and you will enter a wizarding world shopping street called Diagon Alley, which contains a bank called Gringotts, a gun shop known as Ollivander Wands, and a wizard's nightclub called the Cauldron Bar." ”
"Oh." The little girl shrugged her shoulders, faced it with a helpless expression of "what you say", and pointed casually, pointing to the Great Russell Square, where a certain house was drawn by Leon with a cumbersome magic circle, "What about here?" ”
"That's where the mage is."
Li Ang spread out his hands and said calmly: "There is a very powerful mage who lives there, I once fought against her, and I am invincible. ”
The little girl pointed again to St. George's Cathedral in Lambeth, where Leon had drawn a cross, "What about here?" ”
"This is the stronghold of the priesthood." Leon spread his hands and said casually: "It is the base of the British Puritans against the dark forces. ”
"Dark Forces?" The little girl pointed to a place with a wolf's head drawn with her baby fat finger, "Let's say a werewolf?" ”
"No, werewolves don't belong to the dark forces in London."
Leon corrected the little girl's fallacy, "Look closely, it's Westminster, Scotland Yard - most of the werewolves are now London police.
These werewolf cops secretly protect Londoners from the Dark World, while cooperating with counter-terrorism and defending royalty and senior British government officials. ”
What Leon said was so magical that the little girl had to digest the huge amount of information in her brain and whispered, "What about the vampire?" ”
"Hehe, they're not dark forces either."
Leon grinned and pointed to the map, "These vampires are also in Westminster, and they're pretty close to the werewolves. ”
The little girl looked at Leon's finger and said in surprise, "Huh? Isn't this the Capitol? ”
"That's right."
Li Ang nodded and said with a smile, "Surprised? Not surprised? The members of both houses of Congress are basically vampires.
At first, I was shocked when I found out, I just didn't know if Lafayette in Buckingham Palace was a noble blood clan - so the fact that she was on standby for a long time had a reason..."
The little girl shook her head, freed herself from this crooked heresy, and glared at Li Ang and became angry, "You liar. ”
Li Ang calmly put away the map and smiled, "Don't lie to you, London is such magical realism." ”
