Chapter 20: The Hanging Monster

"You just said that many of the people who live in this sewer are missing?" Rorschach asked.

"Yes, as far as I know, there are probably five people missing." Skye said.

Daisy added disdainfully: "It's all some scumbag who robbed and 'raped' drugs." ”

Rorschach was tempted to complain that you thief didn't seem to be much nobler than them. But after thinking about it, there was no need to fight with a poor girl who lived in the sewers and hit what little self-esteem she had.

The loud thud was getting closer, and according to the information coming from the camera, the monster seemed to be rushing towards Rorschach.

Rorschach pulled his pistol from his belt, an action that startled the two girls.

"Don't be nervous, stay here obediently, and don't come out no matter what you hear." Rorschach commanded.

After admonishing the two girls, Rorschach slowly walked out of the nest and walked towards the loud noise. After leaving the two girls out of sight, Rorschach's hands were back on the gloves, and the Colt in his hands was transformed into a pulse pistol.

I don't know what kind of monster he faced, or the black technology equipment of the fire source made him feel more at ease.

The tactical eyepiece provided Rorschach with perfect night vision, as well as various distance data in the surrounding space, so when the monster appeared in front of him, Rorschach was not surprised.

Because just before the monster appeared around the corner, Rorschach had already spotted him through his clairvoyant abilities.

It was a monster that looked like a giant lizard, but it was covered in a white coat, which looked a bit nondescript.

As soon as the monster emerged, Rorschach did not hesitate to pull the trigger of the pulse pistol on him.

Rorschach is not used to chatting with such inhuman monsters and talking about life, to dig into their inner humanity, which is the job of Professor X. After all, people can freeze their opponents, and then use their abilities to read the hearts of monsters.

Rorschach couldn't learn this and didn't plan to imitate it. In his last life, he was best at headshots with a gun, and although this time he encountered a huge lizard, the head was bigger and easier to aim.

The muzzle of the pulse pistol spewed out a barrage of pale blue energy, which hit the giant lizard's head perfectly.

However, the monster's body was terrifyingly strong, and the pulse energy projectile that resembled a small grenade failed to blow him to pieces in an instant. Instead, after the first shot hit him in the head, causing a large wound, he quickly raised a pair of scaly arms to block.

The monster's swift reflexes saved his life, and by the time Rorschach emptied the magazine, he had only paid the price of shattering one arm, severely wounding the other, and blasting a huge wound in his head.

And Rorschach was keenly aware that the monster's wounds were healing quickly. One of the arms that had been blown to pieces was also rapidly regenerating, and by the time Rorschach's pulse pistol was recharged, the monster had recovered most of its injuries.

Naturally, Rorschach would not be polite to him, and raised his gun to shoot the pulse pistol again.

This time, however, the lizard monster jumped to the top of the sewer with a flick of its feet. The lizard monster's claws cut a gap in the concrete, and its entire body climbed directly on top of it and rushed towards Rorschach.

It wasn't a wise decision, and the refilled pulse pistol opened fire again, sending the top of the sewer into a pothole.

As a result, the monster grabbed at the cracked wall, grabbed only a handful of debris, and then fell with a snap.

"So I never understood the use of the monsters in the movie climbing walls, and I haven't run fast on the ground yet." Rorschach said as he continued to shoot at the monster.

The sound of the explosion shook the entire sewer to the buzz, and the dust and stone dust from the explosion filled the nearby space.

The magazine was emptied again, and the tactical eyepiece showed that the monster was lying on the ground as if it had lost its life. But Rorschach had no intention of stopping, continuing to recharge and continue to fire at the monster's "corpse". Looking at Rorschach's appearance, he didn't plan to stop if he didn't directly beat this monster into a mess of rotten meat, or even evaporate it directly.

Rorschach is a traverser after all, and countless seniors have fallen on the trick of pretending to be dead and counter-killing, how could he make such a mistake.

Anyway, this place is all reinforced concrete structures, and probably a nuclear bomb can hold it, and the explosive effect of the pulse pistol will not blow up this place.

Of course, if this thing wants to be beaten like Deadpool to the point that only one cell can come back to life to seek revenge, then Rorschach also thinks that he is unlucky, after all, there is no shame in losing to a hanger.

The monster was really pretending to be dead, but probably he had never seen Rorschach whip the corpse so hard, so he only roared and ran away with the pulse energy.

"So leathery? You're made in the Soviet Union, aren't you? Rorschach complained!

Three magazines of pulsed energy bullets, even a tank can be blown into scrap metal, this monster can still run so fast?

Rorschach was about to continue chasing, but found that the two girls ran out to watch the excitement.

"Didn't I tell you not to come out?" Rorschach said to the two.

"We ...... What was that? Skye changed the subject.

"It's nothing, a relatively large gecko." Rorschach explained.

Skye and Daisy looked at the sewers that looked like they had been baptized by rockets, and thought to themselves that you were the ghost.

"Well, it's not safe here, and I suggest you get out as soon as possible." Rorschach gave a reminder, and chased after the lizardman where he had disappeared.

Such a dangerous monster must be cut down and rooted, otherwise when he was walking on the road, such a monster suddenly jumped out of the manhole cover, and he couldn't guarantee that he would be able to react.

Fortunately, the monster was seriously injured by Rorschach's indiscriminate bombardment, and the red-green blood spilled all over the ground, and Rorschach had no difficulty tracking down at all.

I walked two or three hundred meters along the bloody road, turned around several times in this complex sewer, and then found that the surrounding environment had changed.

The foul smell of the sewers has become stronger, and if the part where Skye and Daisy lived before had been abandoned for a long time, then this section is still in use.

The slimy sewage on the ground felt very bad when stepped on, but Rorschach continued to follow it with a blank face, until he ran to a position where there was no light at all.

The blood was gone, and Rorschach suspected that the monster's wounds had healed.

Although it was a place where he could not see his fingers, the tactical eyepiece allowed Rorschach to see everything clearly. There was no trace of the monster in this space that seemed to be about fifty square meters, but there were dozens of strange green lights.

No, it wasn't a green light, it was the eyes of a whole bunch of weird creatures!
