Chapter 1: Through Life and Death

In the evening, the sun was waning, torn cirrocumulus clouds hung in the distance, the gray sky heralded another rain, and the smell of humidity gradually picked up in the air.

A man stood solemnly in the middle of the bridge, his arms straight, his hands on the railing and looking out into the evening.

The horizon seemed to be a little closer on the high bridge, and the cool evening breeze blew a silk tie around his neck, dragging a corner behind his head, throbbing wildly.

He retracted his gaze and stared at the old relief patterns on the white marble bridge railing, but he looked like a beast with blue faces and fangs, and his mouth was smiling strangely, as if he was laughing at the stupid thing he was about to do.

Gently take off the leather shoes, neatly arrange, put them together, put the front and back of the head and feet under the guardrail, pinch the four corners of the zongbu shoulder bag and follow the edge of the shoes, and there are mobile phones, wallets and car keys in the bag.

Take off the watch on your wrist and place it on your shoe.

Taking a long breath and clung to the railing, he clumsily climbed up, climbed over the railing, panted and trembled his arms, and slowly sat down on the railing, when a dizzying sense of fear struck him, and he did not dare to look down at the rushing river.

A photographer who was shooting the sunset on the bridge, noticed his specialness early, and immediately put down the camera in his hand after seeing the change, and shouted for help in the distance.

Desperately clutching the railing, the corners of his mouth trembling violently, at this time he was terrified of death, and his mind uncontrollably swept over the horrific tragic situation of the drowning person.

Those suffocating, distorted, puffy faces made him feel nauseous, and the innate strong fear of heights made him feel like a drumstick beating, and the energy that had been accumulated for a long time was slowly peeling away from him.

"Don't do anything stupid!" The approaching soldiers shouted at him.

Several cars were parked on the side of the road in the driveway of the bridge, and the drivers rolled down the windows and opened the doors, looking strangely from a distance, and the sidewalk was about to be fenced off.

Maybe it's really a stupid thing that isn't worth it......

He hesitated, his toes trembling, his mind racing, but with the soft crunch of the camera behind him, he felt a tingling pain in the softest part of his heart, and as everyone exclaimed, he let go of his arm and jumped straight down.

......

He woke up.....

It was pitch black, nothing, and silent, as if it had never happened, never begun, never existed.

Then, suddenly, there seemed to be movement around him, and he began to hear a sound, a small, almost inaudible sound that was slightly more comforting than the silence of nothingness, and the breeze blew on his face, and he began to perceive the coolness of his skin, the beating of his blood, the pacing of his heart, and the trembling of his eyes.

He slowly opened his eyes......

The vision was still gray, faintly black, everything was still blurred, there seemed to be a few lights and shadows in front of him, and he finally found himself lying on his back, with soft grass underneath him, for he began to smell a hint of the fragrance of tender green.

Trying to make out, his whole body was weak, and he couldn't sit up, and he couldn't even curl his fingers.

As the eye gets used to it, the light and shadow are finally clear, maybe it's a night light or candlelight, it's an artificial light source.

You can hear the murmuring of the stream, the rustle of the leaves, and the more complex and indistinguishable sounds in the distance, like a jubilant and noisy Christmas procession, or a melodious and crisp sheep flute playing a nocturne.

Slowly, he felt that the various functions of his body had gradually recovered, as if his soul had finally entered the body.

He raised his arm, looked strangely at an unfamiliar white palm, exhaled, and the thin light yellow hairs on his arm were crooked to one side, and a tingling sensation faintly came from the end of his arm.

Turning the palm, I found that the slender and slender fingers were neatly trimmed and clean.

Touching his cheek with his fingers, but the strangeness coming from his fingertips, made him immediately realize that this was a face that he had never touched before.

Frightened, he tried to sit up, and after several attempts, he finally succeeded.

Carefully examining the body under the faint light source, curiously looking at this body with long hands and feet and a flat lower abdomen.

He wears a white undershirt with strange writing on it, a pair of dark gray shorts, and a thin blanket made of unknown material at his feet.

Nervously discovering that the afterimages of the past seemed to have completely disappeared, only some vague memory fragments still reminded of the existence of the past, and then he suddenly figured out all the links in front of him in horror.

…… His consciousness was in a strange young body.

At this moment, all imaginable crazy thoughts instantly surrounded him, making his mind chaotic and unable to think.

He only felt short of breath, almost out of breath, and although there were many people around the silent lawn, he could not find a focal point in his eyes.

He was terrified, the fear of the unknown made him almost unable to help himself, and he tried to recall all the details of the fall into the river and deduce the situation he was in, but it was all in vain because of fear.

Slowly getting up, the surrounding scene became like fragments split by a blade at this moment, scattering in all directions, and the soft light then filled the room, and the area where he was standing suddenly became a boxy room.

The room is small, but it is like a bedroom, and the four walls of the roof and the floor seem to be made of the same material, and only the crystal soft light shines from the inside.

The grass where he had been lying was now a bed, and he caught a glimpse of a strange object at the head of the bed, like an old-fashioned car gear, with a spherical root that shone brighter than all around.

He tentatively stretched out his hand to touch the ball, but suddenly the vision protruded, and the light on all sides dimmed instantly, and he found himself standing abruptly on the peak of the mountain under the bright starry sky.

With a high cliff in front of him and a city in the distance, he breathed a sigh of relief with the light of the city and the slow-moving traffic like fireflies, which reconciled his confusion about the unknown, but the faint noise in his ears made him wonder again.
