People can sell the rough jade, at this time it is often difficult for people to see the jade content, the buyer is not allowed to cut the jade rough before the purchase, the buyer can also continue to sell the purchased jade rough in the same way after the purchase, so this unique way of trading the jade rough is vividly called "gambling jade". So far, gambling on jade is still a way to trade rough jade.

Until now, there has been no scientific method that can effectively determine the jade hidden deep in the ore (including its type, fineness, size, shape, etc.). Therefore, many people in the industry are still in the business of "gambling on jade".

"Gambling jade" (also called "gambling stone") is usually a long slate of ore in front of the door of a jade shop, which may or may not contain priceless jade. In Xinjiang, many people who gamble on jade go directly to the mountains to dig stones, and if they find a piece of ore, many people will flock to wait and see, or grit their teeth to buy it.

In Southeast Asia, which is rich in jade, it is popular to "gamble on jade" - to buy and sell ores that may contain jade with heavy money, and after the transaction, there is a possibility that there will be jadeite with excellent fineness, and the buyer will become rich; Or nothing.

After the 11th Golden Week in 2011, my brother called me and asked if I was free to accompany him to Myanmar, and he wanted to go there to do some errands.

Everyone should know that Myanmar borders China, and there are many Chinese businessmen there, and my senior brother is not very good at Chinese, so please let me go with him.

After receiving the call from my brother, I quickly rushed to Myanmar, because I was traveling in Dali at the time, so my brother was surprised to see me. But to surprise, we met very close to each other, I asked him about the purpose of coming to Myanmar, he said he wanted to buy a piece of Burmese jade. At the time, I laughed at him, how convenient it is to go to a jewelry store, and it is really not worth it to come all the way to Myanmar.

When we got in the car together, after several bumps, and accompanied him to his destination, I realized that he had come to buy Burmese jade, and what he wanted to buy was not a small piece, but a whole jade embryo.

In Myanmar, unpolished jade embryos are sold at a price, using a method similar to auction, in which the highest bidder buys the jade embryos, and after the buyer buys them, the jade embryos are dissected and the jade is removed from them. It dawned on me that this was a game of gambling.

It was the first time I saw the scene of the gambling stones, and the jade embryos were transported in by trucks, the small ones were more than a meter high, and the large ones were even more expensive.

My brother told me that these gambling stone merchants often spend a lot of money on the best stone tires they like, and when they really open them, most of them can harvest satisfactory jade, and some of them are wrong for a while, and the stone is not worth the price, or even has nothing, and they end up bankrupt in a moment.

A sudden loud shouting caught our attention, and I saw a Burmese man scuffling with another slightly chubby man, and everyone around them dodged.

I was curious to ask the Chinese merchant next to me, who told me in Mandarin that the Burmese man and the slightly chubby man were both stone gambling merchants, and they were fighting for a stone tire.

The Chinese merchant also told me that the slightly chubby man was a well-known stone gambler here, and that all the embryos in his image were superb.

It's amazing, I thought, I turned my head to look at my brother, only to find that my brother was staring at a green jade ring on the fat man's hand.

I was puzzled, and was about to open my mouth to ask, but my brother seemed to see my doubts and whispered to me, "Do you see the ring on his hand?" That's Yin Jade. ”

To add the attributes of jade, the color of jade is divided into two types: yang jade and yin jade, but most people see yang jade.

Judging from the appearance alone, the color of yang jade is brighter, while the yin jade is very dull. Comparing Burmese jade, the green color of yang jade is crystal clear and shining, while the yin jade is suspected to be clotted, and it looks lifeless.

Introduce a simple way to distinguish yin jade and yang jade: take the jade to natural light or light (white light is preferred) to see if there is a faint milky white halo on the surface of the jade.

If there is one - congratulations, this piece of jade is yang jade.

If not, the jade appears to have absorbed the light, like a black hole, and looks dim - sorry, it's a piece of yin jade.

To get back to the point, the senior brother was very interested in the fat man's yin jade ring, and the fat man who had finished the fight kept coughing, and he used the excuse of caring about the fat man's body, and talked about the gambling stone business, trying to ask about the origin of the yin jade ring. We can only change the starting point, ask if the fat man is so injured and whether there is anyone at home to take care of him, and finally set out that this ring was originally worn by his wife, and he brought it after his wife died.

After my brother and I politely said goodbye to the fat man, my brother asked someone nearby who was familiar with the fat man's wife about it.

What we heard from others is that the fat man (Ko Gang) and his wife (Ma Ya) are both businessmen who do gambling stone business, and Ko Gang often does not return home at night.

Ma Ya gambling stone is very accurate, about a year and a half ago I got a piece of excellent Burmese jade, Ko just polished the jade into a jade pendant and a bracelet, and the rest of the material made a ring. Ma Ya is very fond of rings and always wears them on her hands.

A year ago, Ma Ya jumped to her death, jumped from the third floor of the villa, broke her neck and died on the spot, Ko just put his wife's ring on his hand when he was sorting out his wife's relics, which is the Yin Jade ring that my brother and I saw.

It was getting late, and my brother and I settled down in a small hotel, and he looked out the window at the darkening night, and asked me casually, "Do you know the energy of Yin Jade?" ”

No matter how gorgeous and expensive the building is, it is not a home without family love to warm it.

When the senior brother came out again, by the light of the moonlight, I saw him with a calm face, holding a green jade bracelet and a jade pendant carved in the shape of a beast, the green was intense but sad.

I didn't ask my brother how he found them, and we didn't talk again all the way back, we were all silent.

The next day, my brother booked a ticket back, left in a hurry with the jade pendant, and left a note for me, saying that he had taken the jade pendant and returned to the family seal.

When I returned to China, I found that there was a dark green jade bracelet in my luggage, which was the same as what I saw in my brother's hand that night, giving people a silent depression.
