Chapter 19: Xiaoling Mountain
"Lingshan?"
Hearing this word mentioned by Lama Tenzin, I couldn't help but be stunned for two seconds, and I didn't react a little: "Are you talking about the spiritual mountain in Journey to the West?" ”
"No, no, no." Lama Tenzin waved his hand, as if he had also read Journey to the West, and explained with a smile: "The spiritual mountain that the monkey went to is only in the legend, and I have never seen such a pure land of Buddha in my life...... The spiritual mountain that your grandfather and they are looking for is a real mountain, right in the depths of Qiangtang! ”
"Real?" I frowned and looked at Guru Tenzin with some confusion.
"It's normal that you haven't heard of it, because everything about that mountain only exists in the Tibetan Esoteric texts, and it's also classified as a legend, and I dare say that there are no more than a thousand people in this world who know about this mountain, but if you look at it as a myth, there are 990 people......." Guru Tenzin laughed, "Of the remaining ten people, only one person has ever found the mountain." ”
When I heard this, I didn't think much about it, and subconsciously asked Guru Tenzin.
The person who found Lingshan should be you, right?
"That's right, that's me." Guru Tenzin nodded: "It can only be said that I was able to find that mountain by coincidence, because when I was doing penance in Qiangtang, I didn't think to look for that holy mountain at all. ”
"Master Tenzin, what is that spiritual mountain?" Chen Qiuyan couldn't help but be curious, and asked, "There won't really be a Buddha practicing ascetic meditation in that mountain, right?" ”
"I don't know, but according to the legend......." Guru Tenzin said, raised his head and thought about it, with a look of remembrance, and slowly told us about the Esoteric scriptures about the spiritual mountain.
According to those ancient books, in a deserted place in Tibet, there was a path paved with golden sand.
The road was only a few feet wide, and it was full of gravel, all of which was made of pure gold......
One end of the road starts from nothing, and the other leads to the legendary Xiaoling Mountain.
"What is in the mountains, this record is not clear, each ancient book is written differently about the things hidden in the mountains, there are those who hide the remains of the ancient Buddha, and if you find the corpse, you can obtain the relics of the ancient Buddha, and you can get the relics of the ancient Buddha, and you can go to the Buddha country on the other side early, and there are also those who write about the cultivation method, all in all, it is strange ......"
Guru Tenzin smiled and gently flicked the rosary and said to us.
"But they all have one thing in common." Guru Tenzin said, his expression gradually becoming serious, and he said word by word: "In the spiritual mountain, there is a hidden power that can make people become immortals and become Buddhas, and your grandfather should have gone for this." ”
Hearing this, I gritted my teeth and couldn't help but ask Guru Tenzin, haven't you found that mountain? You should know a lot about that mountain...... What's there?
"I just found the mountain, but I didn't go in."
Guru Tenzin said with a frown, as if he was also a little helpless.
"At that time, I was doing penance, and I didn't practice anything in my own way, but I was on the path of enlightenment, and when I happened to meet that mountain, I didn't have the strength to take another step......
"Don't have the strength to go into the mountains?" I was stunned, a little surprised by this answer.
Seeing my astonishment, Guru Tenzin smiled helplessly and asked me, "Do you know what Zen meditation is?" ”
Only then did I realize that the bitter meditation he was talking about should be similar to the bitter meditation I knew.
Kuzen is a form of practice that tortures oneself to gain enlightenment, and it is no longer enough to describe it as having a sword.
Walking on snowy mountains, walking in the fire, hungry and thirsty....... These are just the means of getting started with Kuzen.
Pulling out hair, burning skin, removing flesh, chopping bones, lying on the grave.......
These are the myriad gates of bitter meditation!
From ancient times to the present, although there are not many monks who practice bitter meditation, they are not a big stream, but there are definitely not a few, but among these monks, how many people are really successful in practice?
"How did you come up with the idea of practicing suffering?" I couldn't help but ask, looking at Guru Tenzin in amazement, I only felt that this old man was much more ruthless than I thought, and even dared to use such a thing as Kuzen on himself.......
"At my level, it is difficult to go further, and in addition to doing good deeds and accumulating virtues, there should be other methods that can make me progress, so I want to try Kuzen ......."
Guru Tenzin said, raising his finger and pointing at his two sunken eyes.
"But I didn't get anything, but I lost my eyes and legs, and this is the evil result of trying to reach the sky in one step."
As soon as the words fell, the expression on Guru Tenzin's face became helpless, and he said with a wry smile: "I have never suffered a loss in my life, because I am not greedy, so I have always had a smooth life, but this time....... I planted it in my own hands. ”
When I heard Guru Tenzin's words, I didn't know what to say, and when I looked at him, I couldn't help but feel some sympathy in my eyes.
This old-timer knew at a glance that he was not the kind of person who cheated and cheated, and he paid such a price just because of one greed....... Sometimes God is really ruthless.
"When I found the Spiritual Mountain, it was when I lost my eyes and legs....... "Guru Tenzin sighed, "I was on the verge of death at that time, let alone stepping into the Spiritual Mountain, it was very difficult to move my fingers, and after a while I fell unconscious, and when I woke up again, I found that the spiritual mountain was gone." ”
"Lingshan is gone?" I looked at Guru Tenzin in confusion: "How did you disappear?" ”
"Disappeared into thin air, as if it had never appeared, disappeared without leaving a trace, and I still wonder if the spiritual mountain I saw is real or hallucinatory......." Guru Tenzin muttered, "but no matter how I think about it, I think it's real, and everything is ........"
Speaking of this, Guru Tenzin didn't know what he remembered, and his expression became frightened and trembling.
"Master, are you alright?" I asked cautiously.
"No...... You don't know how majestic that mountain is........ Thousands of miles of sky are occupied by the Buddha's energy in the mountains....... It's like a real Buddha country! ”
"I don't know what's in that mountain...... But I know....... It is a holy place for those of us who practice Buddhism......."
As Guru Tenzin spoke, his emotions gradually calmed down, and the smile on his face was extremely calm, as if he had figured something out, and his tone was full of a sense of relief.
"But I don't miss it anymore." Guru Tenzin smiled and said, "I once thought that since Lingshan appeared there, there must be some clues nearby, and there is a chance that I can find the way to Lingshan, but now I have figured it out, there are some things that cannot be forced. ”
"You can't force .......," I muttered, looking thoughtfully at Guru Tenzin.
"I am a person who cultivates Buddhism, not a brave and ruthless warrior, my own strength is secondary, the most important thing is to understand those Buddhist scriptures and Zen principles." Guru Tenzin said, clasping his hands together and chanting a few words of Tibetan, probably reciting the Buddha's name, his expression calmed down a lot, and he said with a smile: "If I had figured this out earlier, maybe I would not have suffered this calamity, let alone lost these eyes." ”
As he spoke, Guru Tenzin twitched his rosary, and his tone gradually became a little guilty.
"A few years ago, when you were not in the industry, I met your grandfather, and we had a good conversation, so I told him about it, but I didn't expect him to .......remember it," Lama Tenzin sighed, "I never imagined that he would travel all the way from Sichuan to Tibet....... See me just for this ........"
I took a deep breath to calm down my emotions quickly, and looking at Guru Tenzin, I asked directly, "Master, have you told my grandfather the location of their Spirit Mountain?" ”
Guru Tenzin nodded.
"Is there any danger around there?" I asked again.
"I don't know." Guru Tenzin sighed, "I didn't encounter any danger when I was practicing in Qiangtang, but now I can't say for sure. ”
I frowned, but said nothing.
Actually, I understand what Lama Tenzin meant, according to common sense, there should be no danger in the Qiangtang, but now it is different, the black mist-like creature he foresaw...... Isn't that the biggest potential danger?
"How long has it been since my grandfather and they entered Qiangtang?" I asked.
"A month, right?" Guru Tenzin muttered, as if he couldn't remember it either, and his tone of answer was tinged with a sense of uncertainty.
"How long does it take to get from here to the Spirit Mountain you mentioned?" I asked again.
Guru Tenzin thought for a moment and said, if you take a car, it may be two or three days, but if you want to find that position...... Hard.
"From our mountain to Qiangtang, all the way to the northwest, where Lingshan is located."
