Chapter 215: Scientist's Lie-7

An Ke once introduced me to a book on "spiritual energy".

This is a vague concept between materialist cognition and metaphysical laws.

Researchers say the average life expectancy of a mysterious religious group in the foothills of the Himalayas is more than 120 years.

It is said that when the believers carry out their daily worship activities, their brains take on a state that is incomprehensible to the world.

Religious people call this a "spiritual leap," a state of "dialogue with the Holy Spirit."

The observer is like being in the bright kingdom of heaven, blessed by the angel of mercy, the dust of the soul is swept away, and all the wounds and pains of the body are removed.

It sounds incredible.

However, as an agnostic, I didn't think the book was all nonsense at first.

Especially after learning about quantum physics, this supernatural phenomenon seems to be more scientifically explained-

Consciousness can change more than just the position and state of microscopic particles.

Sensory sensations, or physiological pain, can also be thought of as another condensed state of particles.

The book concludes that religious belief has been able to rule the world for thousands of years because of more than simply religious and political means.

In other words, the "spiritual energy" that faith brings to the individual is also an extremely precious treasure.

Ironically, I used that book as a breakthrough in my research, and I turned it back and forth no less than ten times.

Every time I look at it, I can figure out the irrationality in it.

The last time I read that book, I could pick out the fallacy on almost every page.

The so-called "spiritual energy" is nothing more than the hypothesis of weak people who are good at self-hypnosis and do not want to face reality.

If praying to God can cure all diseases, then what do you need hospitals for?

If peace and happiness can be obtained by worshipping, then what do you need the army for?

I lay on the big soft bed, tossing and turning.

The strange ritual of the alien visitor at the altar is repeated in the mind.

If Angel is right, I'm wrong.

Maybe "spiritual energy" really exists?

And what kind of changes will that energy, when combined with quantum bridges, produce?

……

I don't know how long it took for me to wake up to the wet touch on my face.

It was pitch black in the room where the curtains were drawn, but I knew who this man was.

I pushed Angel's face away and rubbed her eyes, "Done?" ”

"Hmm." Anqi's eyes flashed with wind and rain that I couldn't understand, "Dreaming of me?" Why a cold sweat? ”

"Nope. I'm fine. I sat up and turned on the bedside lamp.

The soft, warm light made my heart palpitate even more.

It seemed that my limbs were no longer mine, and I got out of bed and knelt on the ground without taking two steps.

"Kang Rong......" Angel came behind me, supported my waist with both hands, and helped me up, "Low blood sugar again?" ”

"I don't know." I shook my head in confusion, "Maybe." ”

"I'm sorry, I've been out for too long."

"It's fine." I was a little speechless, "I think it's just a matter of adaptation." The thought of being able to leave here right away made me nervous breakdown with excitement. ”

Angel hugged me from behind and didn't speak.

My mind is full of superfluid test tube bottles with a blue sheen.

"You're not afraid." Angel spoke quietly.

"Huh?"

"The first two days I stood behind you, you were scared. If you get closer, you'll still be shaking. ”

“……”

"Don't break away." He increased the force on his hand, "It's over." ”

What's the matter, which pot is not opened......

Anqi's body was close to my back, and her voice was soft and aggrieved, "Kang Rong, don't be afraid of my ......"
