According to Jingmingdao's "Xiaoyao Mountain Wanshou Palace Chronicles" volume 13 "Character Chronicles": At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Xu Shoucheng, the eighth generation of the heir disciple of Qiu Chuji of the Quanzhen Dao Longmen School, entered Nanchang Xishan in 1652 to study Jingming Loyalty and filial piety, lamented the abandonment of Yulong Wanshou Palace, and devoted himself to the restoration of the palace. After Xu Shoucheng's death in 1692, the legal system of Jingming Dao was continued to be maintained by his disciples Tan Taizhi, Zhang Taixuan, and Xiong Tai'an. Since then, the history of the Pure Enlightenment has been difficult to investigate.

After 1368~1644, Taoism declined, and the details of the Qingwei sect gradually became difficult to know. Nowadays, there is still the inheritance of the Qingwei school in Xiaogan City, Hubei Province, which was introduced to the people by Wudang Mountain.

As one of the three mountains of the Zhengyi faction, the Dragon and Tiger Sect merged with other Fu Qi sects to form the Zhengyi faction, but it also declined after 1368~1644.

Among the Zhengyi faction, only the Maoshan faction remains, and the existing organizational system is relatively sound. The classic work of the Lingbao School, "The Book of Saving People", its full name is "The Wonderful Sutra of Lingbao Immeasurable People", which is "constructed" by Ge Hong from Sun Ge Chaofu, and lists a system of transmission from the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty to Ge Xuan and his descendants. By the time of the Southern Song Dynasty, Lu Xiujing "increased and cultivated more, and established a ritual, so the teaching of Lingbao was widely practiced in the world."

Although "Lingbao Immeasurable Human Superior Wonderful Sutra" is written by Ge Hong, it is based on the ancient "Lingbao Sutra" that has been inherited for a long time in the Ge family, that is, "Lingbao Five Runes".

In "Yun Ji VII? Volume 3 "Taoism" has a record of "Lingbao Five Runes": "The person who transmits the Lingbao Sutra today is the innocent emperor who gave Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor in Mount Emei, and the innocent emperor awarded the emperor to the platform of Mude, Xia Yu felt descended in Zhongshan, and he peeked at the sentence song.

Later, at the foot of Emei Mountain, he met the Yellow Emperor again and awarded the "Taishang Lingbao Du Ren Jing", and then met the emperor in the Mude platform, and awarded the "Taishang Lingbao Du Ren Jing" to the emperor. When the emperor was born, the emperor sent three days of the true emperor to give the emperor "Lingbao Five True Texts" to the emperor, and the emperor was immortal, which was sealed in Zhongshan. The "Lingbao Sutra", the basic belief of the Lingbao School, draws a lot of Buddhist teachings, such as karma, reincarnation of the three lifetimes, nirvana, etc., because it insists that Buddhism is only a branch of the teachings of the Yuan Shi Tianzun, and the Lingbao Sutra is higher than Buddhism and is the highest Tao in the universe, so its idea of becoming an immortal is dyed with a strong Buddhist color.

The cultivation method of the Lingbao sect is mainly the talisman spell, which is used to summon gods and ghosts, eliminate disasters and diseases, and also use it to reach the gods and make the cultivators famous in the immortal books.

Lu Xiujing also said that "fasting is the foundation of seeking the Tao". Therefore, he wrote a large number of books on the ritual of Zhaijiao for Taoism, especially the Lingbao Zhaiyi.
