Chapter 496: Tanuki Stone Statue

He seemed to see the figure walking slowly on the hillside.

He was waiting.

Under his waiting, the figure on the slope of the mountain finally came up slowly.

"Amitabha, poor monk Xuanyi, I don't know where the little master came from?"

Walking forward, the young monk of Bizhu Temple said to the ragged figure in front of him.

"Amitabha, the poor monk Huijue, has nowhere to come from, just a wandering monk. ”

Standing still, Huijue, who was dressed in rags like a beggar, said in a hoarse voice. As he spoke, he saluted to the Xuanyi monk in front of him,

"The little monk wants to borrow a night here, I don't know if it's convenient?" his expression was vicissitudes, as if he had suffered and suffered from wind and frost.

"Naturally convenient, the Buddha said to save the world, since it is where the temple is located, there is naturally a convenient door everywhere. Little master please. ”

Seemingly indifferent to Huijue's ragged and sloppy appearance, Monk Xuanyi smiled and stretched out his hand to Huijue to invite.

"Everywhere is a convenient door......"

Hui Jue chewed on the words of Monk Xuanyi, and he couldn't help but nod slightly.

The temple is much larger than expected, and when you enter the mountain gate, it is a magnificent hall. The mountain gate, among the Buddhist gates, is also called the three gates. There is a meaning, when you enter my door, it is an empty door, a non-phase door, and a non-self door. When the monk Xuanyi said that the door of convenience, he also said that the world is full of people who are destined for Buddha. As long as there is fate, everyone can enter the Buddhist temple.

Inside the temple, a thin layer of snow covers the courtyard, and a path can be seen that leads to the front. A large tripod in front is placed in the center of the courtyard, and there are two paths on the left and right, and in front of it, there is a large hall.

On the main hall, there is a plaque hanging, which is engraved with three big characters, the palace of the heavenly king.

The Hall of the Heavenly Kings is dedicated to Veda Bodhisattva, Maitreya Bodhisattva and the Four Great Vajra. In the Hokke Temple, there is also a large hall dedicated to these six people. It's just that it's not called the Heavenly King's Palace, it's called the Heavenly King's Front Yard. Although the scale of Bizhu Temple is also not small, it is much inferior to the holy places of Buddhism such as Fahua Temple. In the Fahua Temple, it is said that it is the front yard, but in fact, you can enter the front yard of the king by entering from the mountain gate and walking five or six times.

But inexplicably, standing in the snow, looking at this silent hall standing in the wind and snow, looking at the faintly visible Buddha statue in the main hall, Huijue inexplicably felt something, but I am afraid that compared to the hustle and bustle of the Fahua Temple, this quiet ancient temple of Bizhu may have more Buddha rhyme.

Looking at the Heavenly King Palace, Huijue finally clasped his palms together and bowed reverently. He worships not the Buddha statue sitting in the main hall, but the Buddha in the hearts of generations of monks in this temple.

followed Monk Xuanyi past the Heavenly King Palace, and there was no one in the Heavenly King Palace. Only a solitary Buddha statue stands. These Buddha statues, I don't know how long they have been standing here, the golden body has been peeled off, and they are no longer majestic as before, and even look a little frightened inexplicably.

"Let the little master smile, the ancient city of pothos is located in the northwest border, and the Bizhu Temple is the only place where you can live here, because of the sparse population, there has always been no one in the temple, after the death of my master, it was passed on to my generation, and I was the only one left. Monk Xuanyi said this, and in his words, there was some emotion and some loneliness.

There is very little incense here, no one donates money, and naturally the gold body has peeled off, and there is no way to rebuild it.

After the Tianwang Palace, it is naturally the Daxiong Treasure Palace. In the middle of the Tianwang Hall and the Daxiong Treasure Palace, there is also a big ding. This tripod is actually an incense burner. Like the previous incense burner, this one seems to have been cast in bronze as well. It's just that there are some years, and the whole body of Dading is rusty, and inside, except for the snow, there is no soot incense at all.

The door of the Mahavira Hall was also wide open. In the Daxiong Treasure Hall, the Seventh Buddha is enshrined. That is, the seven world-honored ones of Buddhism. Entering the Daxiong Treasure Hall, Huijue worshipped the Buddha statues one by one.

After the Heavenly King Palace, it is the Bodhisattva Palace. It enshrines the four statues of Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, Fugen and Jizo. In Buddhism, the bodhisattva is second to the Buddha. The bodhisattva state is the self-nature of pure nirvana, surplus nirvana, and unsurplus nirvana. The Buddha, on the other hand, is self-realization, self-awareness, and enlightenment of all perfections. The Buddha is flawless, but the Bodhisattva still has the obstacle of practice and the obstacle of afflictions. But these four statues are only bodhisattvas in Buddhism and among the people, but they have a very revered status. It is not surprising that the ancient temple of Bizhu is dedicated to them.

"After the Bodhisattva Hall, it is the back hall. Today, in addition to the little master, there are actually many donors who have come here and live in the back hall. Coming out of the back door of the Bodhisattva Hall, Monk Xuanyi pointed to a row of low chambers behind him and said. After the Bodhisattva Hall, this is already the back side of the hillside.

Following the words of Monk Xuanyi, Huijue looked at it. Compared with the grandeur of the main halls in front, the wing rooms and Zen courtyards in the back are obviously more dilapidated and inconspicuous. It's just some simple adobe houses, some of which have collapsed. For the rest, traces of repair can also be seen.

In addition to this, there is also a small pavilion in the courtyard between the back hall and the Bodhisattva hall. Inside the pavilion hangs a bronze bell. The bronze bell is mottled and covered with patina, which is obviously very old. On the body of the bronze bell, the original inscriptions and patterns have long been blurred. It's just that the round wooden bell hammer that strikes the bell seems to be new. Moreover, on the body of the clock, where it was hit, there were some deformations and depressions, and there was no rust on it.

However, Hui Jue's gaze lingered on the bronze bell for a moment, and soon it fell on a wind-eroded stone statue next to the pavilion. This stone statue appears to be some kind of animal. And looking at the blurred appearance of this stone statue eroded by the wind, it must have been standing here for a long, long time. And when Hui Jue looked at this stone statue, his gaze was slightly condensed, as if he could see something and seemed to be just distracted.

"What's wrong with Master Huijue?" Seeing that Huijue was distracted, Monk Xuanyi asked in a low voice.

"Amitabha, this stone statue ......" Hui Jue recited the Buddha's name and asked.

"Is there anything wrong with this stone statue?" asked Monk Xuanyi rhetorically.

Facing Monk Xuanyi's words, Huijue's stiff face actually squeezed out a shriveled smile, "It's nothing, just a little curious, there is such a stone statue here." Don't you know where this statue came from?"

"I see. In the face of Huijue's words, Monk Xuanyi smiled dumbly. Then he looked at the stone statue as well, and then said, "This stone statue is actually a tanuki." ”
