Chapter Twenty-Nine: I Met My Companion
The operation went relatively smoothly, although it took a little time, but after Dave left the laboratory, Stanley and the others found that Dave had no clothes on him except for the clothes he wore during the operation.
"Oh my God, what the hell did he go through?" Marty looked at Dave with a heartbroken look, but of course he just wanted to laugh.
"No, my God, it can't be like that, right?" Todd was also a little skeptical.
Mr. Lezeski looked stunned, could his own son have really been ruined by those damn bastards? This would leave a psychological shadow on his son, and if Dave changed into another form, Mr. Lezeski shuddered and did not dare to continue imagining.
"Don't speculate, it's possible that the doctor took off his clothes, after all, he was covered in blood before I heard about him." Stanley hastened to bring these people back to reality.
"Doctor, how is my son?"
"It's out of danger, but unfortunately he has some damage to his nervous system, the kind that hasn't developed and won't be able to feel the pain in the future, oh yes, and there are too many fractures on his body, and we have to use steel plates to fix it." The doctor regretfully gave Mr. Lezeski a bad answer.
"Fastened with steel plates?"
"That's right, and there's a good chance they'll stay with him for the rest of his life." The doctor sighed and told even worse news.
"When will he wake up?" Stanley asked the doctor.
"It can take hours, and you can't have too many people to accompany you." The doctor finished and left.
After learning some about Dave's situation, Stanley and the others comforted Dave's father, said goodbye to Mr. Lezesky and returned to their respective homes, of course, they had to visit Dave in the next few days. The days that followed were back to the way they were, until Stanley waited for a call from the renovation company that had been completed, which meant he needed some money again.
"Damn, I was so busy training during this time that I forgot that I still needed some money." Stanley patted his head and told the people at the renovation company that he would inspect it tomorrow and hung up the phone.
"So the world needs superheroes?" Stanley said without shame, and then took out his reassembled uniform.
He changed his previous uniform, and in some of his memories of what he suspected to be Batman, there were some props and uniform styles and the like, and he dismantled the previous stab-proof suit and re-spliced it on top of the breathable tights, ensuring comfort and ensuring that his movement was not restricted.
He also made Batman's hook gun and multi-purpose belt and mask (the Nightwing's kind), and after two weeks of training, he was finally ready not to hit the wall or get tangled in the hook gun's rope like he did when he first used the hook gun.
"The target is the people from last time, and by the way, you can get revenge! That bastard killed me twice," Stanley checked his gear, smiling faintly.
After some investigation these days, he already knew that the last person he met belonged to a man named Frank Brown. D. Amick's big DU owl, but this person is still at large in New York City for some reasons such as bribing the police and missing evidence. Last week, because of an accident, Stanley ran into a trade with the other party and was killed, so Stanley got the memory of parkour, and also got the time of Frank Amic's next trade.
Today's is a greeting gift!
"Sometimes time flies really slowly." Stanley put on his uniform and sat quietly at home waiting for the night to fall, he was going to go to the house last time to 'earn' some money.
Because it was an official operation, Stanley did not walk through the gate, but went to the roof of the building and slid through the hook gun to another building, and left in this way. Stanley walked down from a building a few streets away, took out a trench coat from his backpack and put it on, put on a peaked cap and black-rimmed glasses, turned into a slightly plump looking man, and got into a taxi to Jamaica, the same street as the last time.
The same superhero who was nicknamed 'SUNDAY' by Stanley after some disguise and reverted to another look, looked at the number of thugs below, and there was a sun engraved on it, and a metal sign with the words happy Sunday written on it under the sun shot out, and the right amount of electric shock at the moment of hitting the person made those thugs incapacitated.
With some memories of Batman, this prop Stanley said that he could make N of them!
There was no accident in the night's operation, Stanley successfully defeated all the minions, and after seriously injuring the core members, he killed the man in military uniform.
"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth! Bastard! Stanley sneered and put the money on the table and on the other side into his backpack.
"All the money you took behind you is counterfeit, you can't use it when you bring it back, and you may be arrested by the police because of it!" A voice suddenly appeared and startled Stanley.
"Who are you? Come out! Stanley didn't expect that there was another person here, he was indeed a little surprised, but it was just rhetoric to be startled, and Stanley, who had the ability to resurrect, said that he was not afraid at all.
"Relax, we're not enemies." The previous voice spoke, and then walked out of the corner, and Stanley saw that it was a low-profile version of Batman.
"Who knows? And how do you prove that the money is fake? "Stanley didn't dare to relax, although he could be resurrected, but he didn't want to die so simply, the taste of death was not so sweet.
"If I were you, I wouldn't be hostile to us, and I wouldn't make any small moves" With a chill in his neck, Stanley found himself standing behind him at some point, and it was the kind with a sharp blade, because he had a knife around his neck at the moment.
"This voice? It's so familiar.,By the way.,It's that little Lori.,So the low-profile version of Batman opposite me is that bearded uncle? "I've said before that Stanley's hearing is better, and perhaps because of more and more deaths and memory remodeling, his memory may have been tempered, so he immediately heard this voice that he met the girl in the bowling alley.
As for why he didn't recognize the man's voice, it was because the other party changed his voice. Knowing that it might be the father and daughter, Stanley was not nervous, maybe he really met his peers.
"Hey, take the knife away, OK, and who are you?" Although the voice was recognized, the two sides really didn't know each other, so Stanley still had to ask.
"He's the big daddy, and I'm a super killer." The little girl spoke, but the knife in her hand did not leave Stanley's neck.
