Chapter 32 Fire and Rescue

After going to Dave's house for a takeout meal in the evening to celebrate Dave's discharge, Stanley and the others left, and Stanley went home to take a shower and lie on the sofa to watch TV, and then looked at his somewhat humble room, and suddenly thought that maybe it was time for him to buy a house.

He now has nearly $1 million in some foreign banks, all of which are the funds he asked Big Daddy to help transfer, as for why it is Big Daddy, because the only adult he knows who doesn't ask where the money comes from seems to be Big Daddy alone.

At this time, a piece of news suddenly interjected, and it was an accident interstitial news. He then learned that a seven-story restaurant in Flushing, Queens, was on fire, and that the fire was so big that rescue efforts were difficult.

"There was chaos at the scene, but fortunately, our rescuers were almost there, and it is understood that there are still nearly 30 people trapped on the sixth floor in the restaurant, ABC reporter Kate Brans reported on the spot." A blonde woman in a silver-gray lady's suit reported on television what was happening at the scene.

Stanley hesitated for a moment, then decided to go. He didn't have time to go to the factory to get his props, but fortunately his mask and hook gun were spare at home, and Stanley didn't have time to change his clothes, picked up the hook gun and mask and some things that might be used in his backpack, and ran out and took a taxi to a street near the fire scene in Flushing.

"I can't go ahead, the police have taken over the road, I can only send you here." The taxi looked at Stanley with some regret and a hint of pity, apparently he thought that Stanley had some relatives at the scene of the fire.

"It's okay, thank you." Stanley threw a hundred dollars directly at the driver and ran out.

Unable to go head-on, Stanley confirmed that there were no cameras in a remote alley, immediately discarded his hat and mask, used a hook gun to go to the roof of the building, and then used his parkour memories that had been fully integrated into him to run for a while, and finally came to the opposite side of the burning restaurant.

"Hey, that guy, is it Sunday? "There are actually some policemen and good deeds on the roof of the building here, after all, the distance here is far enough that it will not cause secondary damage, so the police only came here to observe, and although these policemen did not prohibit nearby residents from coming to the roof to watch the scene, they were also forbidden to get too close.

Onlookers aren't just something unique to our Celestial Empire.

"Sir, it's dangerous over there, please don't go there." A policeman spotted Stanley approaching the edge of the roof and immediately shouted.

When Stanley heard this, he turned his head to reveal his masked face, and then the other party's exclamation chose a place where the fire was relatively weak, and flew in with a hook gun.

"Oh my gosh, he's the [Sunday]?" The policeman muttered, then immediately came to his senses and immediately reported the matter to his superior.

"What? That damn [Sunday] showed up, and I knew he had set the fire! "The director, who received a report from his subordinates in the office, immediately gave an order to seize [Sunday]. The sheriff of New York City is not George Stacety at the moment, but a guy named Gigante, and according to Big Daddy, this person is taking Frank Amik's money, no wonder he hates [Sunday] so much.

However, this side of the matter did not affect Stanley himself for the time being, and he had already entered the sixth floor of the restaurant to look for the people who were trapped here.

"Hey, is anyone there? Is anyone here? Stanley had to shout, after all, he didn't have X-rays or anything like that, and the sound of the constant burning of the decoration here was also interfering with Stanley's hearing, making it impossible for him to find the trapped people.

And because Stanley has no experience in rescuing people in fire, well, although most of them will not have this experience, he doesn't know that shouting in this environment surrounded by thick smoke is not a good thing, and this is not shouted for less than a minute, and the smoke has been so thick that tears flowed out.

"It's not going to go on like this." Thinking so, Stanley took out a miniature respirator (produced by Batman) from his pocket, which was a sample that Stanley had only recently made, and he didn't expect it to be used in this place.

Stanley actually knew that he was a little reckless at this time, in fact, he could have died and let time come back and then save people in advance, but Stanley didn't want to be like that, reset time once something happened, then he would lose his reverence for life and life, and in the end he would become a captive of that resurrection ability.

He wanted to live like a human, so after hearing that there was a fire on this side and that so many people were trapped here, he set off. Because he has the ability to save people, although he didn't think about how to save people for the first time, at least he thought about saving people first, not other things.

Stanley was looking for survivors on the sixth floor, although the flames were relatively large, but Stanley's ability to resist the flames was surprisingly strong, who had already tried to be burned alive. After about five or six minutes inside, Stanley finally heard some voices outside a box, and he found some survivors.

"Hey, how are you guys, stay away from the door, I'm coming in." Although he knew that no one would be behind the door at this time, Stanley still shouted, and then kicked through the door of the box and walked in.

There were six people trapped in the room, and Stanley broke down the door to the group's delight, and then saw that Stanley was alone, and some were even angry. Because the door was broken, the smoke had already begun to drift in.

"OK, don't talk yet, I'm here to get you out. Don't wait for help, they can't come up. An explosion just occurred on the fourth floor, which overturned the fire truck here. Stanley didn't give up on saving people because of the other party's bad words, and directly broke the window, ignoring the flames that rushed up in an instant, and built a zipline with a hook gun and rope.

"You want us to slide down?" A person who saw Stanley's movements immediately said in surprise.

"That's right, everyone hurry up, don't let go if you don't want to fall to your death!" Stanley had already thought about this situation when he came out of the house, so he brought some buckles, which could be used as a simple sling as long as the rope was on the table.

"Will this thing work?" A man holding this very simple sling was a little hesitant.

"I don't have time to think about this, but you just need to hold on to the rope in your hand and don't let go, if you don't want to get hurt, wrap the rope in your coat, and rest assured that those buckles are okay and can carry the weight of the energy." Stanley had to explain, otherwise he wouldn't be able to leave for a while.

After receiving Stanley's assurance, they let a man go first and found that things didn't seem to be as difficult as they thought, so they let several women slide out one after another, and in about ten minutes, these six people all came to the roof of the opposite building very successfully.
