Chapter 20: The Mysterious Stele

After Stanley and the others walked into the temple, they encountered a lot of attacks, and finally came to a stone gate that walked towards the inside of the temple, but found that there seemed to be something wrong with this stone gate, because the bomb they had just used could not cause any damage to these buildings, which was a bit mysterious.

"What are you doing here?" Jessica came back and saw Professor Martin observing the walls of the temple and asked a little strangely.

"There's something strange about this wall." Mindy spoke to Jessica, and then asked Jessica to put a few large bags in her hand on the open space beside her.

"What's so strange?" Jessica walked over to Stanley and asked.

"This wall seems to be able to absorb energy." Stanley said with some uncertainty, after all, there is no real verification.

"I'll give it a try." After Zheng Shangqi finished speaking, he took a pose, and as he took a deep breath, a faint visible light flashed on his fist, and then he punched the stone door, only to hear a muffled bang, but Zheng Shangqi was shocked and took several steps back, and almost fell to the ground.

"Wow, what kind of ability is this? Kung fu? Curson asked, surprised.

"Yes, it belongs to a secret skill of a warrior monk in Kunlun, but it's a pity that I haven't learned it yet." Zheng Shangqi rubbed his chest.

"The result?" Stanley asked.

"Absorption and slight rebound." Zheng Shangqi shook his arm, fortunately, he didn't use too much strength just now, otherwise he would have really been injured.

Hearing Zheng Shangqi's words, only Crossbones and Stanley seemed to have discovered something in the team, and they glanced at each other, and they both saw a trace of surprise in each other's eyes.

"Hey, you guys seem to know what's going on?" Locke also discovered anomalies in Stanley and Crossbones.

"I just heard Zheng Shangqi's description, and I remembered a metal!" Stanley said, looking at Crossbones.

"Me too, I remember seeing this description in S.H.I.E.L.D. database once." Crossbone nodded as well.

"What the hell is it? So mysterious? Mindy asked curiously.

"It's a metal called vibranium, remember Captain America? His shield has this metal on it, a mysterious metal that absorbs and rebounds energy, and Howard Stark also designed Captain America's shield with the help of the military when he obtained a small piece of it. Stanley told him what he knew about vibranium.

"Can you imagine? The reason why Captain America was so powerful at the beginning, in addition to his participation in the Super Soldier Program, was mostly because of the shield in his hand, and it can be said that without the shield, Captain might have died on the battlefield long ago. Crossbones also explained.

"You're not going to say that these walls are all made of that kind of metal, are you?" Jessica said, looking at the wall in front of her.

"I don't know, and vibranium doesn't need that much, just need to infiltrate this metal into the walls." Stanley said with some uncertainty, after all, it would be too shocking if all the walls of this temple were vibranium.

"If only there were professional detectors." Professor Martin sighed.

"Shall we move on?" Jessica asked, after all, vibranium seemed to be very important.

"Go ahead, maybe there's something more mysterious waiting for us inside." Curson's eyes lit up.

"Well, let's go, if this is really vibranium, we don't have the technology to mine, there is no way to get a sample, of course, maybe we can also find a smaller vibranium inside, after all, it can be used as a wall, indicating that there was a lot of vibranium at that time." Crossbones sighed, this place is simply a treasure trove, but unfortunately there is no way for Hydra to swallow it alone.

Among this group of people, only a few soldiers over there really belong to Hydra, and this group of people is not Stanley's opponent at all, and this time the mission is completely normal, and Hydra did not give him any additional tasks, so he could only swallow some ideas into his stomach temporarily.

The stone door in front of him can be opened as long as it is pushed open, and a few men were going to open it by themselves, but Jessica ran over and pushed it gently, and the stone door made a piercing friction sound and gradually opened.

"What's wrong? Let's go in. Jessica turned her head to look at the crowd and said with some puzzlement.

"Ah, ahem, it's okay, let's go." Corson and Locke swallowed, grabbed their weapons and walked through the stone door.

"It's worthy of a god girl." Professor Martin also looked shocked, although he had known that Jessica was a superhero, but because he had a baby face (that is, disguised makeup), he subconsciously regarded Jessica and Mindy as little girls.

Stanley chuckled, and then followed Professor Martin into the stone gate, and finally Zheng Shangqi and Crossbones were on guard with guns and slowly entered the stone gate.

After entering the stone gate, there is an empty courtyard, but there are few plants here, but there is a mysterious stone tablet in the center of the courtyard, on which there are various plant patterns, some of which happen to be the plants they encountered.

The yard wasn't too big, about the size of a football field, and it was still surrounded by high walls, except for another stone gate diagonally across from it, and nothing else.

"There's something strange here." Corson said with a frown.

"It's a bit of an anomaly." Stanley nodded slightly.

In a courtyard the size of a football field, there was hardly anything except a tall stone monument in the center, of course, not that there was none, perhaps hidden on the ground, so they did not act rashly after entering the courtyard.

"Look, that painting doesn't look like the mutated plants that attacked us before?" Mindy said, pointing to an area illuminated by a flashlight.

"Ha, don't say it's really those plants." Locke said with a squint.

"Maybe the stele has something to do with those mutant plants?" Jessica said uncertainly.

"Puzzled, these mutated plants were cultivated by the people who built this temple." Stanley followed.

"Maybe this is the alien testing base!" Corson took Stanley's words and played with his own thoughts.

"There seems to be some writing on there, and it looks like we're going to have to stop here for a moment." Professor Martin held a flashlight, and a beam of light shone on the huge stone tablet, illuminating one strange character after another.

"We don't have any of us who study these words, let's take pictures first, and I don't know if it's safe here." Stanley frowned and looked at the empty yard, always feeling that the crisis might come from underground, especially those that were not covered in bluestone.
