Chapter 85: Fission 1
Late autumn, near dusk.
A certain city, a certain remote alley.
An autumn wind blew, rattling the broken kite hanging from the telephone pole. A pedestrian passing by on a bicycle rang the bell, dodging a stray dog that suddenly came out of nowhere. The shops are lined with old, dirty billboards, and most of the shopkeepers are bored behind their desks watching soap operas.
Xiao Fang also sat behind the service desk and dozed off, when the ringing of the bicycle bell came, waking her up from her daydream and shivering.
It was another afternoon of business depression, and there were no guests at all.
She was about to change her position and continue sleeping, when she suddenly heard the beckoning cat barking at the door.
"Welcome!"
A tall man appeared at the door of the store at some point, carrying a travel bag. Dressed in a camouflage suit, a black hood and sunglasses, he stepped to the front desk in two or three steps.
With a snap, Xiao Fang's gaze was forced to shift to the ** that the man slapped in front of her.
"A standard room, hurry up!" The man's tone was cold, with a hint of impatience.
What caught my eye was a rather handsome portrait, followed by the name next to it, followed by the word Wang Zhuo.
Xiaofang checked in expressionlessly, and deliberately tinkered for a long time before Wang Zhuo, who was standing on the side and kept shaking his legs, said: "200 deposit." β
Wang Zhuo immediately muttered: "Such a dilapidated hotel also costs 200?" Change it to an hourly room for me, two hours, the cheapest one! β
Xiao Fang couldn't help but curse the poor ghost in his heart, and then frowned and began to modify the order.
Wang Zhuo looked around and found the ** on the side, and his movements began to become a little unnatural.
"Come down and check out before 8 o'clock." Xiao Fang found change and said coldly to Wang Zhuo.
The man took the ** and the room card, walked up the stairs in three or two steps and disappeared, Xiao Fang looked at his hurried back and yawned, and then took out his mobile phone and began to play with the game.
β¦
"Xiao Fang, you don't want to leave yet, it doesn't seem like you're on the night shift today, right?"
Xiao Fang was watching the Korean drama and was fascinated, and a voice came out of Leng Buding, which startled her. When I looked up, it turned out to be a cleaning aunt. She stood in front of the stage and looked at herself with a smile, holding cleaning utensils in her hands.
"Oh, I'll help Gillian substitute today, have you eaten Mama Zhang?" Xiao Fang hurriedly replied.
"It's 8 o'clock, why haven't you eaten yet?" Zhang's mother walked to the side with a smile, "It's dark." β
Xiao Fang also smiled, and was about to continue watching Korean dramas, but suddenly remembered something and patted his head: "It's 8 o'clock?" Why didn't the man come down and check out? β
She picked up the landline and was about to make a call, when she heard the sound of thumping footsteps coming from the stairwell. The sound grew louder and louder, and even the ceiling began to vibrate.
"Look at him in a hurry," Xiao Fang secretly despised in his heart, "for fear of charging him an extra hour's hourly fee and being poor." β
With a snap, a figure flashed to the top of the stairs, and the movement seemed to be jumping directly from the second floor. A gust of wind blew away a table on the small square table.
Before Xiao Fang could react, the person had already turned a sharp turn and ran towards the door.
"Heyβ"
Only half of the word feed was uttered, because Xiao Fang found that it was the back of a strange man.
Dressed in a red jacket and ripped jeans, his gray-dyed hair was so conspicuous that he disappeared from the door almost instantly.
"Who, running so fast, rushing to reincarnate!" Xiao Fang scolded in a low voice, but then became confused.
She remembered very well that no one else came to check in all afternoon except Wang Zhuo, who was wearing camouflage uniform. And today was the worst day of the month, and there happened to be no other guests at the hotel.
"Oh!" Xiao Fang reacted and remembered that Wang Zhuo carried a travel bag when he checked in, could it be that he had changed his clothes?
What a strange person!
After thinking for a while, Xiao Yi shouted to the cleaning aunt in the rest room next to him: "Mother Zhang, there are guests checking out, 301." β
Zhang's mother answered, and there was a trembling movement in the room, presumably she was sleeping just now, so she got up.
At this moment, there was a sharp sound of brakes faintly coming from the street, followed by an uproar of the crowd, followed by the sound of sparse running.
"It's a car accident!"
I don't know who yelled outside the door, so shocked that Xiao Fang almost didn't drop his phone on the ground. With a bad premonition in her heart, she hurriedly came out from behind the service desk and trotted to the door.
When I stood by the door, I found that the sky was so dark, the street lights on the corner of the street were broken again, and the surrounding area was dark, and I couldn't see anything clearly.
However, many white screens are like indicator lights, stretching all the way to the scene of the car accident not far away, where it seems that many onlookers have gathered.
"Hey, 120?" "Hey, there's been a car accident..."
Xiao Fang turned on the flashlight on his mobile phone and trotted towards the crowd, hearing many people calling emergency numbers from time to time along the way.
Someone had already put up a warning sign behind the car, and Xiao Fang struggled to squeeze into the crowd, only taking a cursory glance before turning his head in fright.
The wounded man who collapsed to the ground had twisted limbs, he was dressed in red, his hair was gray in the dim light of his mobile phone, and his whole face was bloody and blurred, and he couldn't see his face at all.
It's that guest!
"Did you hit it?" "I don't know! It seems that there is still breathing. "Hit 120!" "Don't look at it, let's go!"
Xiao Fang felt that his legs were weak, and he almost fell to his knees. She clenched her fists, took a few deep breaths, was in no mood to linger or engage in any further discussion, turned around and hurried back.
"Oops!"
As soon as she ran to the door of the store, a man suddenly burst out of it and slammed into her, almost knocking her over. Fortunately, the man was quick and grabbed her hand and lifted her up.
"Youβ"
Xiao Fang raised his head and was just about to curse, but the person swooped through her, quickly melted into the night, and disappeared around the corner. Xiao Fang didn't even see his appearance clearly, he only knew that he was a relatively strong man.
Xiao Fang returned to the front desk in shock, and before she could gain a firm foothold, a figure next to her suddenly flashed, causing her to scream in fright.
"What's your name, scare me to death!" The proprietress frowned and clutched her chest, her face looking very pale.
Seeing that it was the proprietress, Xiao Fang hurriedly apologized, and then opened his mouth to tell what happened before: "Boss, just..."
"Give me as much cash as you have on the counter!" The proprietress interrupted her, her eyes staring straight at the cash drawer under the computer.
"Huh?" Xiao Fang was puzzled for a moment, and then reacted, "Oh... That's all for you? She said as she opened the cupboard.
The proprietress grabbed all the money, turned around and walked away without saying a word.
Xiao Fang opened his mouth and froze in place, not reacting for a long time.
The proprietress rarely appears, but today she took all the money from the front desk without saying a word. What will she do in a moment!
"Xiao Fang, it's amazing!"
Suddenly, there was a hurried shout from Mama Zhang in the stairwell, and after a burst of heavy footsteps, she ran out with a pale face, and held on to the front desk violently, looking like she was about to faint.
"Mom Zhang, what's wrong with you?" Xiao Fang took a breath, there were so many things that happened this evening, she was a little overwhelmed.
"Dead! The guests of 301 died in the room! Zhang's mother's eyes widened, and her expression was distorted.
