Chapter 3: Necromancy
It was a circular imprint, with three patterns in the shape of a Tai Chi yin and yang fish in the center of the imprint, and the outer ring of the pattern was carved with a string of ancient characters, Rao Kane had studied Chinese since he was a child and could not recognize what was written, but he was sure that they were Chinese characters, because they were completely different from the Western fonts that evolved from cuneiform.
"You look a lot like a Sensai, but your soul is engraved with the symbol of Van Rodani, I don't know how bizarre your background is, but both of them prove your identity." Lasma said with a smile.
"No, I think there must be some misunderstanding here. This mark was originally engraved on an amulet on my chest, and I don't know how it ended up on my chest. And the Nefarem you're talking about is one of the races I've played in, I'm sure I'm not..."Kane recognized the sigil, which had been given to him by his grandfather, and asked him to wear it close to him, not knowing why it appeared on the chest of his soul.
"Really? What about this? Rasma interrupted Kane's words, and condensed a blue-gray gas in her hand, which instantly burrowed into Kane's body, and as the gas entered, Kane felt a strange energy circulate in his body, not painful, nor burning or cold, calm was the only word Kane could describe it.
"It seems that you are not as mediocre as you think, this is the spirit, an energy that only Nepharem can master, and you can absorb it without any abnormality, do you think you are just an ordinary person, and Nepharem is just a character in the game?" Rasma's words made Kane grow his mouth, and after living for 20 years, he still knew for the first time that he was not an ordinary person, but he might have a strange bloodline, but after thinking about it, he was not so excited, even if it was Nepharem, what could he do, he was now dead and had become a soul, even if he was the archangel Tyrell, what could he do, this is not a game that can be resurrected infinitely.
"Thank you very much for telling me this, but I think a dead Nefarem is just a soul, and although I don't know where the soul will end up, it probably won't be in this place." Kane smiled wryly and looked around, he was in a verdant prairie, and there was nothing else to be seen in the endless prairie, only Asma and a stone house behind him.
"Hehe, don't worry about the young man, fortunately you met me, I just have a way to get your soul back to the world again." Lasma laughed.
"Really? You're not kidding. Kane stared at Asma expectantly, although he was quite open-minded about death, but if he had a chance to live, who would want to choose death.
"Of course, it was I who created the way of balance and passed it on, my disciples named this lineage Asma Sect, we are proficient in the spells of life and death, and resurrection is not an incredible thing."
"Great, you're as great as an angel, I hope you can cast a spell to resurrect me soon, I'm afraid that something else will happen to my corpse if it is soaked in water for too long." Kane said anxiously, knowing that his body is still soaked in the Hudson River, and if it starts to swell after a long time, even if he is resurrected, he can't ask for it.
"Uh... Young man, don't worry, there's still a little problem here..."Seeing Kane in such a hurry, Asma suddenly showed a little embarrassment.
Seeing Asma, who looked like a prophet, with such an expression, Kane had a hint of foreboding in his heart.
It was Asma's explanation that Kane learned that the resurrection was possible, but there were still many twists and turns.
It turned out that the dark angel Matheril, who had fallen into darkness, brought the Dark Soul Stone that imprisoned all the demon kings to the legendary Third World, the main battlefield of the Eternal War, after Nefarem defeated Diapollo again, to the Chaos Realm.
It was here that he wanted to reshape the Dark Soul Stone, to put an end to all living beings in St. Huria, except for the angels, and to devour all the demonic essence in the Sanctuary, including of course, humans with demonic blood.
Finally, after countless Nefarem warriors and Tyrell fought back, the embodiment of death, Masayr, was destroyed in an explosion of energy filled with void and grievance, freeing up all the souls that had been devoured - including Diablo and the other six Demon Kings.
The cunning Demon King knew that he was no match for Nefarem and Tyrell in his weakened state, so he burrowed into a fragment of a Dark Soul Stone and used the energy of Mather's dying explosion to cross the space barrier and enter a new world, that is, Earth.
Asma, who was hidden in the realm of Tageo, was keenly aware of this, and walked out of it and began to track down the Dark Soul Stone, and when he was about to grab the Dark Soul Stone in the endless void, he was absorbed into a space by a powerful suction force in the void, and finally fell short.
Asma, who was imprisoned in this space, was not discouraged, he continued to search for the demon kings in the dark soul stone through the demonic power in his bloodline, and finally, just when Diapolo was about to devour Kane, he broke through the space barrier and saved his soul from the dark soul stone, and added a ban to the dark soul stone, so that the demon king could no longer absorb the soul to strengthen himself for the time being, lest they come out of the soul stone and harm the humans on the earth.
Of course, this is not without a price, Asma, who has completed all this, has not much energy left, and it will be difficult to open a spatial passage again to send Kane's soul back to Earth.
"So, I can only come back to life after your energy is restored?" Kane was a little desperate, because it didn't sound like something that could be done in a short period of time, and by then his body would probably have some bones left.
"I'm sorry, young man, I'm afraid I'm going to need your help with this."
It turns out that Asma's Balance Path spell requires a large number of spirits, but there are no animals in this seemingly beautiful space, you must know that the basis of the Balance Path spell is the spirit, and the only source of the spirit is the soul of living beings.
Asma, who had lost the source of his spirit, could no longer cast such a huge spell as breaking through the barrier of space, and he hoped that Kane could learn the way of balance and go out to collect spirits to help him get out of trouble, because when he pulled Kane into this world in a hurry, he found that although he could not leave this space, Kane seemed to be able to enter and leave at will without being confined by this space.
Asma's priests can infuse each other's spirits without hindrance, so in order to return to Earth and help the lifesaver out of trouble, Kane became Asma's student and began to learn his Balance Method, and of course, through learning he also learned another name for the Balance Path - Necromancy.
