87 Brother and sister reconciliation, a thousand years of peace

When friends see this topic, they must think that what they want to talk about is the vision for the future of the Taiwan Strait. We are desperate to see permanent peace in the Taiwan Strait and lasting harmony and common prosperity between the two sides of the strait. Now I want to talk about the history of ancient Taiwan.

What is incomprehensible is that nearly 1,800 years ago, the two sides of the Taiwan Strait achieved brother-sister reconciliation, and ancient Taiwan gained a history of peace for more than 1,000 years.

In 230 AD, in the second year of the Huanglong reign of the Three Kingdoms, Sun Quan suddenly felt extremely uneasy about the threat of Taiwan behind him, so that he 'forgot to sleep and eat', like a thorn in the back, and sent Wei Wen and Zhuge Zhi two generals, led 10,000 soldiers, to conquer Yizhou (Taiwan).

Here we want to point out that a slap in the face is not loud, Sun Quan went east to Taiwan, and Taiwan's then leader (Sun Shangxiang) was also responsible. Taiwan's leader at that time (Sun Shangxiang) adopted an attitude of ignoring the Soochow regime, mainly Sun Quan, out of historical grievances and hatred. In this way, we know that the lack of communication and the lack of understanding between the two sides made Sun Quan psychologically in a high degree of tension, and he felt an inexplicable sense of oppression and threat, so that he tried his best to defy public opinion, made three military decisions one after another, each one on a larger scale, and finally sent the most powerful naval fleet in the world at that time, which was the reason for the outbreak of the first war in the Taiwan Strait at that time!

After that, we rejoiced to see that peace had been achieved in the Taiwan Strait, and this period of peace was very long, more than a thousand years! Because of this, it is believed that the leader of Taiwan at that time (Sun Shangxiang) was a great man of immeasurable merits, who was able to put aside historical grievances and hatreds, regardless of her own honor and disgrace and danger to her life, went to Soochow to talk to Sun Quan, achieved the reconciliation of brothers and sisters, and created an era of peace for thousands of years.

Now we know the second characteristic of the history of ancient Taiwan - peace, peace for more than a thousand years, all the way to the invasion of the Dutch. There was no war in Taiwan in ancient times.

It is often said that there are no tigers in the mountains, and the monkeys are kings. Everywhere, as long as there are people, there will be leaders. Anywhere in China, even if it is a very small and remote place, in the long history of thousands of years, there must have been a figure who called the king and the emperor. (The final result of the king and the emperor is, of course, swallowed up by a bloody war.) On the side of the pillow, you can't let others sleep soundly! This is the great talent of the ancient Chinese emperors.

Is the fact that there was no war in Taiwan in ancient times related to the practice of the ancient Taiwan leaders not to call the emperor but to call the chief of control?

This is an issue that deserves serious study and exploration.

Let's talk about my shallow opinion here.

First, Taiwan's ancient leaders, who proclaimed themselves chief controllers, first suppressed the hope of foreign invaders to invade Taiwan. Because they know that to invade Taiwan is to invade a powerful China.

Second, Taiwan's ancient leaders called themselves the chief of control, and at the same time, they also dispelled the thoughts of many immigrants who had imperial aspirations in all dynasties. For example, Xu Fu of the Qin Dynasty, twice visited Qin Shi Huang, with an interval of eight years, and should have conducted a considerable investigation of the surrounding islands, in terms of geography and climate, Taiwan is more suitable for immigration than Japan, but Xu Fu chose Japan. Because Xu Fu knew that when he chose Taiwan, he was always in the hands of Qin Shi Huang. In addition, there are Qiu Gong in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Li Jun in the Water Margin, etc., they do not choose the beautiful and rich Taiwan, but go to other places. From the example of Xu Fu, it can be seen that Taiwan's chief controller should have existed in the Qin Dynasty.

Third, the ancient leaders of Taiwan were called the chief controller, which satisfied and reassured the emperors of the past dynasties, so since Sun Quan, no troops were sent to Taiwan, as long as there was no abnormal situation in Taiwan, the emperors of the past dynasties were recognized. The most obvious example is the super fleet of Zheng He of the Ming Dynasty, whose base base was in Changle, Fujian, close to Taiwan. Zheng He went to the West seven times, but he never bothered Taiwan.

In ancient times, Taiwan enjoyed more than 1,000 years of peace and stability, which is probably the only place in China, which has been plagued by wars for thousands of years. Therefore, it is only necessary to say that the reconciliation of Sun Quan and Sun Shangxiang's brothers and sisters is a great act of kindness with immeasurable merits! It deserves special attention and in-depth study in historiography. It is worthy of praise from the literary and artistic circles.
