The dog of Everest

On a trek to Everest, I once met an interesting dog.

Early the morning of the second day after arriving at the foot of Mount Everest, Geng Xin and I left the Rongbu Temple Guest House, where we had stayed for the night, and we packed our bags and headed for Mount Everest. In front of the Rongbu Temple, we met a yellow dog, and Geng Xin didn't know what was going on, so he let the lame yellow dog follow us all the way. By the time we got to the first base camp, we started eating dry food. I threw a small piece of compressed biscuit to Yellow Dog, who just sniffed it with his nose and ignored me, and then he nibbled on the compressed biscuit and took the biscuit on the ground into his mouth and bit it.

Tibetan dogs are indeed quite spiritual, and it is no wonder that Tibetans regard them as friends of humans, and what happened later proves this view.

Later, Geng Xin and I walked away, and he walked fast, a bit like a hurry. I walk slowly, a bit like a walk. When I walked to the front of the temple in Rongbu, I saw the yellow dog lying in front of the door, and I thought that the yellow dog had left our ranks. As I walked further, the yellow dog followed, and I couldn't bear to see it struggling to jump on all three legs. The yellow dog followed me for a while, and then suddenly turned back to the Velvet Cloth Temple. Then I learned that Geng Xin had entered the Rongbu Temple, and the yellow dog was waiting for him in front of the temple.

At an altitude of 5,200 meters above sea level next to the monument, there is a public toilet, next to the public toilet, there is a tool room of more than ten square meters, when we arrived, all the staff have been evacuated, fortunately the door of the tool room is not locked, we live in the tool room. On the night of Mount Everest, needless to say, the cold did not leave, and curled up at the door to guard us for a night.

When I got up the next morning, I saw that the yellow dog was shivering from the cold, Geng Xin put on one of his long-sleeved shirts for the yellow dog, but the sleeves were not rolled up, so that the yellow dog was spinning in place, and he couldn't move a step.

After returning from Mount Everest to Rongbu Temple, we were very tired and tired, so we took a tractor back to the Rongbu Temple Guest House. Carelessly, he forgot the yellow dog that followed us all the way.

The next day, we saw the yellow dog again at the entrance of the Rongbu Temple Guest House, and he was lazily lying there basking in the sun. When it saw us, it just lifted its eyelids and didn't react. Geng Xin went up to take a picture with it, but it was indifferent, just mechanically fiddling with Geng Xin.

It seems that the act of leaving us away the day before and leaving it behind broke its heart, so much so that it no longer wanted to talk to us.
