River beach camping
The closer you get to Mount Everest, the higher the sea becomes. Geng Xin and I came out of Rongjiang Village and crossed a Pingchuan, and then we started to climb the mountain, and we kept climbing. It wasn't until dusk that I descended a gentle slope. Then it's a matter of continuing along the riverbank.
There is a thick layer of ice on both sides of the river on the side of the road, and the ice edges of the white flowers are layered on top of each other, and the middle of the river is melting ice, and from time to time there is a crisp sound of ice breaking. The thin stream of water looked swarthy in the white ice and snow. The river is located on a flat river between the two mountains, and the mountains on both sides are steep and the mountains are bare and barren. The mountains are littered with rocks, and in many places you can see that the earth covered with the rocks has long been blown away by the wind, and the huge rocks at the top and bottom seem to be shaking slightly from a distance, as if they could break free from the last bit of the soil at any time and slide freely from the heights. The gentle slopes along the highway and the snow-covered river beaches are littered with rocks tumbling down from the mountains. The stones were as big as a man, and as big as a few tabletops.
We walked cautiously along this stretch of the road. As you walk, keep an eye out for the rolling rocks on the mountain. The wind in the valley was very strong, and from time to time it swept the mud and rocks on the mountain and slid down, but fortunately there were only some fine mud and sand, and no larger rocks fell. As we made our way through this dangerous stretch of road, it was getting dark.
At this time, we saw a flat river on the other side of the river, and at the junction of the flat river and the river bank, there were several stone houses where the herdsmen lived when they were grazing. Looking at the weather at this time, we can't go to the village in front of us anyway, and those stone houses are undoubtedly the best choice for camping. We were screaming at the river, but there was no one on the other side of the river coming out of the house to pick up the ballast, as if it was an empty house on the other side. We walked around the river for a long time, but we couldn't find a way to cross it. We just let out a long sigh and hurried. By this time it was getting dark, and the surroundings were soon engulfed in darkness.
After dark, we walked out of the valley in the light of the lights. Taniguchi is where the river flows, and there is an iron bridge across the river. It was already on the edge of Pingchuan, and Geng Xin and I stopped and used our lights to look for a place to pitch a tent near the road.
Under the embankment next to the iron bridge, there are several piles of pebbles, and behind the cobblestones there is a small flat area. The flat ground is quite firm, just leeward, and you can pitch a tent.
On this night, the silhouettes of the surrounding peaks could be faintly discerned under the night sky. A few stars spread out, and it felt very close overhead. We were all tired after a day of climbing, and after simply filling our stomachs with something, we fell asleep as soon as we dipped our pillows.
In the middle of the night, I was awakened from a dream. I turned on the lights and saw that the tent was dusty. The wind whined outside the tent, and the wind rushed in from the mouth of the valley, and the strong wind that leaked through the piles of pebbles blew the tent to peel and peel off. Countless clouds of dust crept through the cracks in the tent and scurried around in the small space, choking people breathlessly. I was just choked up. At this time, Geng Xin also sat up in his clothes. The fatigue of the day has made us reluctant to move more, even if we can move, we have nothing to do with this situation. I put my down hat over my head, put my mask on, and pulled up my neck to protect my mask, so it was much easier to breathe. Geng Xin is also dealing with me at this time, anyway, we have been looking for a place where we can set up a tent again, just like that, it's just one night, let's make do if we can.
When I woke up the next morning, I saw that the tent was covered with a layer of mud and sand. Sleeping bags, clothes, and backpacks were covered in the gray color of the mud and sand. Turning his head to look at Geng Xin, who was untying his neck, he saw that the exposed parts around his eye sockets were gray, forming a strong contrast with his complexion, and he was like a clown in Peking Opera. I couldn't help but laugh, and finally laughed.
At this time, Geng Xin looked at me for a moment, and then laughed.
