Chapter 6 Offshore Wounds
There's always someone who will accompany you to see the moon... I remembered Cher's face and realized how special I was to her.
Luke seemed to be telling someone else's story, understating, drinking strong wine as he spoke. I suddenly understood why the Lu Jin family liked to drink so much, and remembered the people closest to them.
"That's why she likes to see the moon so much." I said.
"Hmm." Luke continued, "She loves the moon and snow the most, but it hasn't rained on our island for a long time. ”
I guess what happened next, Luke and Cher went to study in the big city, Uncle Lu Jin grew a beard, and began to become good friends with the naughty children, and slowly he forgot his sadness and only thought about the people he cared about the most when he was drinking. Thinking and thinking are different. I think Uncle Lu Jin must have confessed to her, telling her that everything here was so interesting, and that he believed that she was doing well in heaven. I'm sure he laughs from the heart.
Later, it should be Luke and Cher who come back from the big city and live happily with their father. To be honest, I admire Luke, although he basically doesn't do much work, he is really a man, and he makes his sister happy for one thing alone. If you want to bring happiness to others, you must first block your own sadness, and I almost forgot that person was also her mother. I looked at Luke with a smile and he looked at me with a smile and we went home together...
Uncle Lu Jin had already lit a bonfire and prepared the food and drinks. Cher was wandering around, smiling at us, and sat down by the campfire with a sigh of relief. Everyone was eating barbecue, drinking Uncle Lu Jin's best wine, and listening to his jokes as if nothing had happened. I also picked up the guitar and played the beautiful melody, and the melodious singing voice mixed in the charming night, drifting far and far with the breeze.
After a few more days, the old captain finally came to me, I knew it was time for us to go, before leaving I found that the trick was not as difficult as I thought, I still had a long time missing her, and I was guilty in the future, I smiled bitterly, looked up and waved my hand to the Lu Jin family. The old captain was almost on the boat, and I was about to turn away when Cher came over.
"How can you stay?" She looked at me and said softly.
"If it snows now." I smiled at her, turned away and walked forward, suddenly there was a chill on my face, I looked up at the sky, and a white snowflake fell on the tip of my nose, two, three... A gust of wind swept by, and snowflakes blew on me like blades with strong winds, and the world turned white in an instant. I turned my head to look at Cher, who was standing there and being ravaged by the wind, and for a second I wanted to rush over and grab her, but a second later, I turned and left the village. You're going to choose her, I said, looking up at the sky.
I believe in parallel space, and I thought I'd regret it, but if I started all over again, I might make the same choice. I love Cher, but I chose the former between responsibility and love. I can't think of a person who once loved me so much adrift on the sea, so even if I stayed there, I wouldn't be happy anymore.
Things passed in such a hurry, and the sea seemed to drown all the past.
The old captain carried a lot of delicious food to the ship, and when he saw that I was not pleased, he brought me something to eat. I knew he would give me those things in the end, and he would just eat the unpalatable fish. He knows everything that happened to me, he also knows that he is my only reason to drift at sea, I know that deep down he doesn't want to lose me, although he always says that he will quickly let me find a place to settle down, but how can I give up the relationship for more than ten years.
Every night, I still sit on the deck with my guitar in my hand and watch the blurred moonlight, but I think of a few more people.
A few days have passed, and we are still aimlessly aimless at sea, in fact, our direction is uncertain, sometimes according to the weather, sometimes according to the mood. When we were tired of drifting, the old captain would take out a map and find the nearest island to settle on.
I slowly began to think about Cher, this time I knew that I was really poisoned, but unfortunately there was no antidote to eat. Whenever night fell, I seemed to smell Uncle Lu Jin's wine again, and when he left, he gave me a jug, which was the first wine he put in the cellar, and I sealed him well, and I was reluctant to drink it.
Feelings are such fragile things, but they are so fascinating, maybe this is human beings. I went up to the deck to see if the old captain had caught a big, fat fish, but when I saw him, he was bruised and bruised, gritting his teeth and pulling the rope. I knew it was a big fish, probably bigger than I thought, and there was probably no other fish other than a shark that could make it so hard for him. I hurried up to help, but the old captain shook his head and signaled that I didn't need to.
To tell you the truth, I have rarely fished with the old captain, except for the big fish, and perhaps in his mind, I have never belonged to the sea. Every time he smiled and said, fishing is experienced, when to exert force, when to relax, these are all learning. He saw through that I didn't want to learn, and even if I wanted to, it was just to help him. He sincerely hoped that I would not have to drift at sea, that I would be able to settle down and have my own life, but he knew that I would not leave. So it's as if he owes me anything and doesn't need me to do anything.
But I walked up anyway, and this time he didn't shake his head, probably really a little unbearable. I hurriedly unloaded the other hooks, leaving only this one strand of rope, and worked near the edge of the boat to help him share some of the strength.
He did loosen up a lot, and I didn't have a hard time, and we were in a stalemate with the fish.
I looked up at the sun, and it had been two hours since I had been doing this, but this guy didn't seem to slow down in the slightest. I looked at the old captain, and the old captain sighed, and also felt that it was a better choice to let it go. But as soon as he loosened his rope from his waist, I was carried by a tremendous force and fell on my back into the sea. I hurriedly loosened the rope and swam up, and as soon as I reached the side of the boat, I suddenly heard the sound of running water in my ears, and I looked back to see a huge strange fish swimming towards me with its mouth wide open. The old captain grabbed me with his right hand and put it under my left armpit, and I followed with my right hand to hold on to the edge of the ship, and jumped up, my body was on the deck, but my foot stumbled heavily when I jumped up, and I caught up with this momentum.
I rolled on the board with my feet covered, and years of injury experience told me that this time it should have been a fracture.
The old captain was also a little guilty, regretting that he shouldn't have let go so early. He used earth methods to help me treat the wound, and simply bandaged it, but the fracture was not so easy to heal, and the old captain decided to find a place to dock first, hoping to meet the village doctor and help me get the bone right.
