Chapter 13: The Hidden Crisis
"Hey guys, why be so nervous!" Gold and red armor fell from the sky. "I think we can talk about it calmly, I know there's a good burger on Queen Street, how about we go somewhere?"
The armor lifted to reveal Tony Stark's face.
"But it looks like the golden gentleman doesn't want to back down."
"It's an order from the United Nations."
"But this is on American soil." Seeing the sentry, Tony Stark blurted out. "Mr. Reynolds, you are a danger yourself, please tell me who got you out of that scenic bay."
"Iron Man, you're not qualified to ask about this." The Sentinel refused to answer Iron Man's question, and he floated in mid-air, his cloak fluttering in the wind, as if he were a god on earth.
Superman, on the other hand, had a solemn face, and he looked at the sentry, always on guard.
"I have this qualification, because it's not Iron Man Tony Stark standing here talking to you, it's Tony Stark, Secretary of Defense of the United States of America, see who qualifies?"
The sentry was silent, but he remained where he was, revealing his presence.
"What a nuisance." Tony said helplessly, even though they have mastered the power of the government, but most people still don't agree with them.
In fact, Rogers is very unfit to be a president, although in terms of prestige, almost no one can match him. But in terms of his ability to govern, Rogers is clearly not fit to be a president.
He was too clever and too upright, and these were all shortcomings, and his cleverness made it easy for him to see all the filth that existed in the government; Integrity made it impossible for him to tolerate the filth that would continue to exist.
After Rogers took office, he still aimed at the American Rifle Association and the Medical Alliance, and if there were any other companies in this country that could make a bully against Stark, the two behemoths mentioned above were undoubtedly the most famous.
The former president's holy gun rangers were blown up by those two interest groups, but Rogers is not Oguanhai, so a tug-of-war is unfolding between Congress and the government, this is a power struggle, and the chips in the hands of both sides are superheroes and supervillains.
But Rogers is well aware of the power that these superhumans have, on the contrary, their opponents do not know the power of superhumans, they think that they can control superheroes like they control those stupid people at the bottom of the American imperialists, but as everyone knows, the only thing that can control superheroes is their inner morality.
"Looks like you're not in a good place right now." The relationship between the Justice League and the Avengers is not good, but it is not very bad either.
The two supervise each other, forming an eerie balance. This is something that both sides can keep, because it will keep both from being too inflated.
To put it simply, the Avengers are in a higher position, official, and legally recognized organizations, and when it comes to dealing with supervillains, the Avengers are better at it, because the Avengers don't care about killing; The Justice League, on the other hand, has a code of not killing people and is more fond of helping people.
Killing, or law enforcement, is the biggest difference between the two.
But now they all have a common enemy, and that is those who hide in the shadows.
"After all, now is not the time to be as free as it once was." Tony Stark's eyes were a little tired, after deciding to become a superhero, Tony was ready to face danger, but now he found that sometimes it was much easier to deal with the enemy.
"That's because you're still playing by the old rules of the game." A bald head stepped out of the helicopter.
"Lex, what are you doing here?" Superman looked at the familiar bald head, and his tone became less friendly. Everyone knows that Superman is a good old man, but good old people also have times when they get angry, and there is only one person on the entire planet who can provoke Superman's anger - Lex Luthor.
"Hey, don't be so unfriendly, Superman, I'm not here to fight you this time." Lex Luthor said.
"I know you, Lex Luthor, and S.H.I.E.L.D. has a criminal record." When Tony Stark saw Lex, his tone was not very friendly.
The relationship between the two is indeed not very good, although there is a slight overlap in the attributes of Iron Man and Batman, but as long as those who know the two know that the two are completely different existences. So Tony Stark's relationship with Batman or Bruce Wayne can only be said to be average.
But unlike Lex, Lex Luthor's Lex Group and Tony Stark's Stark Group are old rivals.
And the same goes for Tony Stark and Lex Luthor himself.
"I also know you, Tony Stark, the armoured and chivalrous Secretary of Defense, the greatest Secretary of Defense the United States of America has ever seen." Lex Luthor sneered. "He is also the most unprofessional defense minister."
"But it's better than you bald." Tony Stark is not just a person who gets scolded and doesn't talk back, in fact, Tony Stark's mouth is as bad as his temper.
"Who does the little man say?" Lex scoffed, height had always been a pain in Tony Stark's pain.
In the comics, Tony Stark's height after the reboot is 1.86 meters, but in fact, in real life, Tony Stark's height is somewhat similar to Robert Downey Jr., 1.74 meters. And Lex Luthor, who is 1.88 meters tall.
Baldness and height have always been a pain for both of them.
"We didn't listen to you arguing, Lex Luthor, and I'm sure you didn't come here for nothing." Batman's deep voice sounded, making the scene instantly quiet, in fact, Bruce Wayne in Batman's state does have the skill of instant coldness.
"Of course, I'm not going to be pestered by those idiots like some little man, I'm here for one purpose, and that's that!" Lex Luthor pointed to the sky and picked up a hideous crack that looked like a scar.
"We all know that the Speedmaster comes from another world that is completely different, but what drove them here, I think it's worth exploring." There was a hint of solemnity in Lex Luthor's eyes, he hated superhumans, but he wasn't those stupid supervillains. There is only one reason why he opposes Superman, and that is that human beings only need human beings themselves, and they do not need a living god.
