Chapter 1 Alarm Clock

Zuo Kui looked away from the book, and he looked at the customer in front of him with a slight surprise.

Since he took over the shop, no living person has ever visited.

This is a middle-aged man who looks to be in his forties. He was bloated, with a standard Mediterranean hairstyle, and a pair of small philistine eyes on his oily fat face, which shook nervously but incessantly, as if he wanted to see Zuo Kui's full picture.

This is normal. Even on dog days, Zuo Kui still wrapped himself tightly in a black windbreaker and a big-brimmed hat, revealing only a pair of eyes with white nuclei and black rings, which would indeed make ordinary people very curious.

"How can I help you?" Zuo Kui sat behind the counter, his body stiffened, and his voice was extremely low and hoarse.

Service etiquette is meaningless in this store, and taking the initiative to ask questions is already a human habit of Zuo Kui.

Mediterranean's forehead was dripping with large drops of sweat, and he looked around, and after making sure that there were no other guests, he leaned forward and whispered:

"I heard you can handle anything?"

Zuo Kui frowned, he hadn't met such a reckless and cheesy person in a while. He shook his head slightly and said:

"Nothing, you're in the wrong place."

"Don't!" The Mediterranean raised the pitch and seemed very agitated. He took the leather bag he was carrying to the counter and opened it to Zuo Kui to show the full amount of cash.

"One hundred thousand! Cash! Boss, you help! ”

Mediterranean looked at Zuo Kui eagerly, for fear that he would not agree, and said: "It's not enough, it's all about it!" ”

Zuo Kui sighed. Although he was very tired, he was not good at blatantly attacking, so he had to continue to speak patiently:

"You're really mistaken, I'm only selling things on consignment here, and I can't handle anything."

"Consignment stuff?" Mediterranean was stunned for a moment, his little eyes turned around a few times, and he suddenly grinned: "Yes!" Yes! Yes! I have something on consignment! ”

Mediterranean said, pulling out a plastic bag from the compartment of the bag, and inside was some crumbs of unknown things.

"This consignment is here, as long as someone is willing to buy it, the money is his!" Mediterranean's eyes almost bulged out when he said this.

In other words, ordinary people must be confused by this illogical sentence. But Zuo Kui only frowned slightly, then nodded:

"Yes."

Mediterranean put down his bag and left the store as if fleeing for his life.

Zuo Kui threw the purse containing the money on the ground like garbage, and instead poured out the crumbs and examined them carefully.

These debris are plastic, and Zuo Kui looked at it for a long time, and finally understood what it was.

It's an alarm clock.

Zuo Kui took out the adhesive and began to repair the debris.

When the first set of debris was combined, a terrible wail flashed in Zuo Kui's ears. He habitually plucked his ears and continued to put them together. He was patient and attentive, and time seemed to mean nothing to him. In this way, Zuo Kui silently and mechanically put together until the early hours of the morning.

The little green alarm clock in front of me can almost be described as riddled with holes. The cracks and deformed fragments that could no longer be recovered made the restored product look very strange.

Zuo Kui didn't know what kind of hatred its owner had with it, and it was better to burn it directly than this.

The elements inside the alarm clock are no longer functional. Zuo Kui didn't know how to fix electronic components, so he fiddled with the pointers on the table twice, and felt that there was nothing he could do, so he installed the cracked transparent plastic casing.

After that, he stood up, moved his limbs in a strange position, and silently went into the shop, lay down in the coffin, and slept in his clothes.

In the early morning, the sound of the alarm clock woke Zuo Kui up. He walked to the front desk suspiciously, watching the alarm clock tick and frown.

At 7 o'clock in the morning, an alarm clock that can't even walk the hands rings non-stop, which is irritating.

Zuo Kui sat quietly and watched it, listening to it ring, as if he was competing with this alarm clock for patience.

The alarm went off for an hour and stopped at 8 o'clock. Zuo Kui waited for a while, finally stood up and put the alarm clock in the pocket of his coat. He picked up a large black umbrella, spread it out and walked out of the store.

In the crematorium on the outskirts of the city, Mediterranean was crying at his dead wife's funeral, and he slammed his head against the coffin of the corpse, making people wonder if he would cry blood from his eyes.

Zuo Kui stood in the crowd, silently watching all this. His outfit made several people around him look at him a few more times, but most of them were still solemn about the funeral.

The relics of the dead were packed and thrown into the fire to be burned, and Zuo Kui stood next to the fire and silently threw the alarm clock into it.

The alarm clock was quickly burned, and a wave of air was stirred up in the flames, which was not at all conspicuous in the heat of summer. Zuo Kui looked at it for a moment and left here.

At night, Mediterranean drove into the villa area in a luxury car. A seductive young girl snorted in his arms, and the two teased each other's secrets, making noise from the car to the garage, all over the basement of the villa.

Their passions stretched all the way to the bedroom, until they were in shambles, and they both fell asleep.

In the early morning, the alarm bell rang again. The sleeping Mediterranean jumped to his feet as if he had been electrocuted, and he looked around the room in horror, looking for the source of the bell.

The woman next to her rolled over, revealing the face of her deceased wife. She sat up and said as usual:

"It's time to get up and go to work, husband."

The Mediterranean's hoarse screams almost punctured the girl's eardrums. The girl watched in horror as Mediterranean lifted the entire bedside table and smashed it on her head again and again.

Once, twice, three times, until the young girl's skull was deformed and her brain burst out.

Silence returned, except for the Mediterranean cow gasp, only the sound of the alarm clock, which became more and more ethereal in the quiet environment, as if to drive people crazy.

The Mediterranean luxury car stopped in front of Zuo Kui's shop again. This time, he was naked and covered in blood.

His eyes were red as if they had been dyed, and he looked surprisingly calm.

Or, perhaps, it is on the verge of collapse.

In the surprised eyes of the people around him, the eyes of the Mediterranean were only Zuo Kui in the shop. He walked in and said in a cold voice:

"Where's the alarm clock?"

"Someone bought it."

"Who? Who the hell bought it!! ”

The Mediterranean's sudden upswing did not make Zuo Kui feel a little surprised. He looked faintly at the Mediterranean until his breath was even.

"Your wife bought it." Zuo Kui said lightly.

"Fart! Fuck you! She's dead, you know! She's dead! ”

Mediterranean's face was contorted to a little hideous: "She was dead before I came here!" I know better than anyone else! You're trying to bluff me! Who are you! ”

Zuo Kui looked at him and said, "Why do you know better than anyone else?" ”

"Because I killed it! I killed it! Are you satisfied? Satisfied?! I froze him for a week! This damn alarm goes off every day! Take down the battery and ring! Smashing to smithereens will ring! She's wronged! She deserves it! Ahaha, ahahahaha! ”

Mediterranean became extremely crazy, crying and laughing, and the onlookers gathered at the door of Zuo Kui's shop were shocked and whispered.

Zuo Kui was still indifferent, and said: "Your wife told me that this alarm clock has been with you for ten years, and has been with you since you were poor and white." She wakes you up at 7 a.m. every morning, prepares breakfast for you, and doesn't tidy up until you leave the house at 8 a.m. Now, you've killed her and ruined the alarm clock, but she still wants to wake you up. ”

"Why! Why didn't she die well! ”

"Because she still loves you." Zuo Kui said: "This is her obsession. ”

Mediterranean looked at Zuo Kui, suddenly calmed down, and said word by word: "How do you know this?" ”

Zuo Kui said: "The day you came, you brought her with you, but you don't know it." ”

Mediterranean was stunned for a long time, and muttered, "She...... In an alarm clock? ”

Zuo Kui didn't answer him. He stood up, took a small emerald cup from the shelf next to him, and wiped it gently.

After a long time, with a scream of breaking through the air, Mediterranean rushed out of the store, followed by a crisp and mournful sound of brakes. After that, everything came to an abrupt end.

Zuo Kui didn't look up, he cleaned the small cup for a long time, and after confirming that there was no trace of dust in the small cup, he carefully placed it on the counter and opened the lid of the small cup.

In the small cup is a ball of fresh air, flowing slowly, without fighting with the world.

"Let's settle the bill." Zuo Kui said.

Two balls of clear air flew in from outside the store, flew into the small cup, and became one with the clear air. Zuo Kui carefully closed the lid again, put the small cup back in its place, dispersed the crowd of onlookers, and sat back behind the counter, quietly reading the book.

Don't come back to such annoying customers.

Zuo Kui thought and turned another page of the book.
