Chapter 3: Revenge: XVIII. The Prayer Flags

The next day, because the equipment we needed had not yet arrived, we had to wait another day in Lulang.

After a night's sleep, I gradually recovered from my sorrow for my sister. Because of my rapid recovery of emotions, everyone's interest in Lu Lang's tour has also increased.

The landlord's daughter, Zhuoma Yangzong, had a good impression of our group and took the initiative to be a guide and took everyone to the mountain pasture.

We stood in the alpine pasture, looking at the village of Tashi Gang not far away. The small village is nestled in the middle of an alpine pasture, with Gombrazan at the top and pastures at the foot of the countryside. Under the blue sky and white clouds, prayer flags were flying, and we stood on the high mountain, faintly hearing the singing in the distance.

Let me tell you that in the Tang Dynasty, two princesses married into Tibet, came to the snowy plateau, and walked their life path here. They are Princess Wencheng and Princess Jincheng. Among them, Princess Jincheng and Lu Lang have a very close relationship. In the fourth year of Tang Jinglong (710 AD), Tang Zhongzong ordered Yang Ju, the general of Zuo Xiaowei, to escort the princess of Jincheng into Tibet and marry Tubo Zanpu Chide Zuzan. Princess Jincheng has lived in Tibet for more than 20 years, and she lived to be 41 years old. According to historical records, after Princess Jincheng entered Tibet, she spent more time in the Lulang area. Legend has it that the name "Tashi Gang" was given by Princess Jincheng. At that time, Tashi Gang Village was just a small and unknown village, with only a few families living there, and it did not even have an official name, and people outside called it "a village on the hillside". One day, Princess Jincheng passed by here to stop and was amazed by the fairyland-like scenery of Lu Lang. When the accompanying officials heard that Princess Jincheng admired the scenery here, they suggested that the village be named "Jixiangpo", which means "Tashi Gang" in Tibetan, and the princess smiled and agreed. This is the origin of Tashi Gang Village.

Let me tell you, in the alpine pasture, there is also an imposing prayer flag. This prayer flag array is said to be the place where King Gesar, the hero of the Tibetan epic, ordered the general. Locals regard this place as a holy place, and every time there are large-scale sacrifices, harvest seasons, and traditional festivals in Tibetan areas, they will come here to simmer mulberry, turn prayers, hang prayer flags, and pray for the protection of the gods. Just on the edge of the prayer flags, there is a sacred stone, called "King Gesar's Back Stone". Legend has it that during his stay at Tashi Gang, King Gesar suffered from severe rheumatism and psoas muscle disease, which was not cured by the military doctors. Later, after being recommended by a local miracle doctor, King Gesar was brought here by the villagers, and every day he imitated the posture of the porter and used his back on the boulder. A few days later, King Gesar's illness was completely gone. Since then, the local residents will go to this boulder at the same time as they come here to turn the meridians, and use the back stone year after year, forming the current back stone appearance.

I said that the locals talk about the legend of King Gesar. Lu Lang's Gongbu Tibetan men, in ancient times, were brave warriors, often recruited to go on expeditions, on horseback to fight in all directions, they have respect for King Gesar, as long as the farming season, they will come here to worship. As I spoke, I led everyone up the hill and circled around the prayer flags and the "King Gesar's Back Stone."

Li Lili was a little unimpressed by what I said about "King Gesar's back stone". Li Lili said, "Gesar is a heroic figure in Tibetan history, famous for the "Biography of Gesar", a long time ago, there was a place called Lingguo, there was a poor child named Jueru. This child has grown up in a strange realm. The heroes of the Ling Kingdom gathered, and when Jueru was competing for the throne in the horse race, he fought the heroes and won the king, and his honorific title was Gesar. We can see that in fact, this boy named Jueru is the later King Gesar, Gesar was 16 years old when he was elected king and ascended the throne, and then entered the capital of Lingguo, Senzhou Dazezong, and married Zhumu as his wife. Gesar subdued demons and subdued demons throughout his life, eliminated violence and peace, fought in the south and north, unified more than 150 tribes of all sizes, and finally unified the territory of Lingguo. King Gesar's life was full of turbulent waves of struggle against the evil forces, and in order to eradicate the scourge of the world and the irrational phenomenon of the law of the jungle, he expelled the invaders who had taken the people captive, and waged an uncompromising struggle with his uncle Chao Tong, a traitor who had defected to the enemy, and won freedom, peace and happiness for the tribe. This is the story of the epic "The Legend of Gesar". ”

"But this is not the case with the real Gesar in history. Gesar was born in Axu Township, Derge County. Poor since childhood, in the early days in Asu Township, Ranni and other pastures. When he became an adult, he won a horse race on the grassland between Manigango and Cuoa Township in Caixinge County, and married a Tibetan girl, Zhuto, as his wife. Together with his brother Jiacha, he established an armed force of 50 junior generals and began a lifelong career of conquest. Gesar unified the forces of various places by force, established the Ling State in present-day Derge County, took this as the center of the empire, and led the army to fight in Yushu and the source of the Yellow River in Qinghai for a long time, and in the areas of Ganzi, Xinlong, Yifu, Seda, and Aba Prefecture in Sichuan. King Gesar was born in 1038 A.D. and died in 1119 A.D. at the age of 81. After Gesar's death, the Lingling family changed the capital city of Senzhou Daze Sect into a family temple, and its prestige and outstanding achievements show that future generations will continue to do so. Lingliang Tusi Weng Qingqujia built the "Temple of King Gesar" for Kangduo in the Xiongba Xiesuya of present-day Asu. At the end of the last century, the local government rebuilt the original site as the King Gesar Memorial Hall. The 64 beams and 16 pillars of the King Gesar Memorial Hall constitute the main structure, which is surrounded by walls. In the middle of the hall is the giant statue of King Gesar's horse relaxation, the back of the plastic horse riding god of war, the left and right sides of the main wall plastic Ling country 12 Buddhas, the left and right sides of the soldiers are like clouds. The whole memorial hall is solemn and elegant, and it is magnificent. At present, there are countless relics related to Gesar in Tibet, in fact, Gesar has only been to the Qamdo area of Tibet, and the so-called relics in other places are all from nothing. Just like the tourism development in the mainland, it is constantly pulling the flag as a tiger skin, and the butt decides the head, and there is no creativity. But if there is a boulder, it is either a goddess or a wangfu stone. But if there are two boulders, it must be Zhu Bajie's daughter-in-law. ”

When Li Lili was talking vigorously, he found that the old cannon next to him was constantly pulling him. Li Lili stopped narrating and looked at the old cannon, not knowing what was going on. The old cannon motioned to Li Lili to look in the other direction, and don't say any more. Li Li looked in the direction indicated by the old cannon, and saw Zhuoma Yangzong glaring angrily at him.

Li Lili looked at Zhuoma Yangzong, who was glaring at him, and immediately realized that he had made a mistake. It must have been that some of the points about Gesar in her words were considered disrespectful by the Dolma Yang Sect, which angered the Dolma Yang Sect and made her express her anger.

Zhuoma Yangzong said to everyone, "This person is not our friend, and I don't want to be with this person." Then he turned and left.
