Chapter 37: Ghost Town

I was half-asleep, I was awake to be exact, but the reality seemed to tell me that I wasn't awake yet, and that I should never open my eyes as I am now.

But unfortunately, because whenever I am half-asleep, I will always open my eyes to confirm my current state.

Yes, I opened my eyes, even though the eyelids were heavy and looked like two plumb droops were hanging from them.

My eyes opened slightly, and then I looked outside, only to see darkness. I wondered if I was still in a dream because I couldn't see the light and the darkness completely enveloped my body. At this time, I was like a helpless child walking in a barren mountain, with hope in my heart, but what I saw in my eyes was countless despair.

At this moment, the feeling of panic was particularly strong, which also made me completely wake up from that half-asleep trance, my eyes were completely open, but there was still only darkness in my eyes.

I don't know why this happened, I moved, and found it difficult for me to make too many movements, because the sides were very narrow, I raised my hand and pushed it upwards, my hands were blocked, and there was a muffled "bang" sound from above.

"Where am I?"

I thought to myself in fear because it felt like I was lying in a space that was just big enough to hold my body. I could only lie down like I was now, unable to sit or stand.

It's like ...... Lie in the coffin!

The birth of this thought added a little to my fear. Even though that so-called fear is invisible and intangible, it is indeed disturbing my mind and creating problems for me that are beyond my circumstances.

"Anyone? Help me......! ”

The old-fashioned distress plot, but when it really happens to you, you will find that the seemingly funny words are actually full of despair and helplessness.

It's like who I am now. kept pushing and banging on the top, and kept desperately begging for help until I was disheartened by the shouting.

There is no doubt that I have been struck by the cruel reality again, will I die? I don't know, and I don't want to know.

The air inside felt stuffy, but it didn't affect normal breathing, and in addition, it wasn't as stuffy as imagined, so it was not sealed even if it was a coffin.

He forced himself to calm down a bit. Then I started to remember what happened before I went to bed.

To tell you the truth, nothing happened before I went to bed, because there have been too many weird and terrifying things recently, so I was physically and mentally exhausted, so I went to bed early for the first two days and didn't wake up until the afternoon.

Even though nothing happened before I went to bed, I think I already knew what it was, and it must be something like the horrific events I had befallen before. They don't end there. Still pestering me endlessly.

For some reason, when I thought about this reason, my heart calmed down inexplicably, and even I didn't know it. Is this in my subconscious, already desperate to accept my fate?

Fortunately, I am not a pessimist, and this non-pessimism is mainly reflected in...... I'm greedy for life and afraid of death.

I am a person who is greedy for life and afraid of death, and I don't know how many people in this world are like me. Both longing to live. I hate to be alive again.

In a person's life, it is compared with the helplessness of birth, old age, sickness and death, joys and sorrows. Happiness is always so insignificant.

Everyone understands the truth, but once it comes to practice, it immediately changes its taste. Just like now, after I had recovered a little, I began to smash around me again.

This time I struggled a lot more than before, because I even got on my feet, even though I wasn't very flexible in this environment.

"Boom!"

With the sound of a heavy object falling to the ground, the long-lost light finally came into my eyes again. I succeeded, I succeeded in breaking the cage that trapped me.

I coughed excitedly, sat up with some difficulty, sat up from the object that contained me, and looked down, as I had guessed, it was indeed a coffin, a long coffin with a black body.

I took another look at the environment I was in, and it looked very much like the inn room in an ancient TV series, because I had a strong feeling from the style of the bed and the arrangement of the tables and chairs in the room.

Of course, this does not include this long black coffin, because the ancient inn was not a funeral parlor, a morgue, and it was impossible to put a coffin to disgust people. After all, people living in feudal society at that time were very taboo about these things.

At this time, my eyes were drawn to a blue-white lantern with a "faint" glow on the round table, and I curiously took this lantern in my hand, and then carefully searched the room by its light.

To my surprise, there were no wires or electric lights in the room, and the small paper lantern in my hand was the only means of light.

"Did I cross over?"

I touched my hair, it was still the same hairstyle, and it seemed that the crossing might not be very large.

I was so confused about the current situation, first I woke up and was inexplicably locked in a coffin, and then I inexplicably appeared in this quaint room.

I pondered the reason for this, and then walked to the window with the lantern in my hand. The window was ajar, and I poked my head out a little, which startled me.

For the sky outside was red, and the full moon hanging above it was a very permeable green.

Green moon, red sky. This is absolutely unprecedented, unheard of, unseen.

At this moment, I was sure that I was probably no longer on Earth, because I had never heard of a green moon anywhere on Earth.

I was shocked for a long time before I came back to my senses and looked down, below which was a not very wide alley, equally antique, with a few shops on either side. I just watched it for a long time, but there was no half a figure walking by.

"Are they all sleeping?"

I thought to myself, so I withdrew my gaze, and took the lantern and went out to see if I could find out what it was.

I gently pushed the door, and the door opened silently, and I poked the lantern out of my hand and then looked outside. It is a circular corridor with a staircase at the end, which seems to be on the second floor, and the hall below.

I took a deep breath and headed for the stairs, trying to listen to the movement around me, especially as I passed through each room, but no matter how hard I tried, I didn't hear a sound.

With an inexplicable palpitation, I descended the stairs and then into the hall. There are a number of tables, chairs and benches in the hall, all of which are square tables and small round stools.

And just as I was looking at the tables and chairs, I suddenly heard a series of hurried footsteps outside the door, as if someone was running towards it.
