Chapter 26: The School of Shelling
At about three o'clock in the afternoon, Bruno and Zlata returned, and after a busy day for most of the day, they brought back a bag of peas, a small bag of flour, two pieces of bacon, and four boxes of canned food. They were stunned when they saw the pile of vegetables and fruits in the kitchen.
"Oh God! I didn't expect to see fresh fruit again one day. Bruno excitedly picked up an apple and put it to his nose, took a deep breath, and a sweet fragrance spread, making Bruno feel comfortable.
Zlata also picked up a bright red tomato and put it next to his nose, inhaling gently.
"Eat one if you like." Li Mu also picked up an apple and took a bite, and then told him about the profiteer he met today.
"Well, it's very reasonable, it's obviously not appropriate for a few of us to hold so many guns, and the general use of guns is only for intimidation, and there are few opportunities to actually shoot, rather than wasting it and changing something to be real." Bruno said as he ate an apple.
"It's delicious, I really hope I can eat it every day in the future." Zlata also said as he nibbled on a tomato.
"Rest assured, the war won't last long, and since the profiteers have come out to sell things, it means that the rebels won't last long, otherwise, no one will take the risk to come here and loot the wealth. As long as we hold out a little longer, the war will be over, and when the time comes, you can eat as much fruit as you want. Li Mu said with a smile.
Bruno nodded, "Well, that's the truth, but before the war is really over, the matter of hoarding supplies still has to be done, and until it is really successful, you can't relax for a moment." ”
The crowd was still very much in favor of Bruno's proposal.
Dinner was hearty, and although it was still noodles, there were more peas and carrots in it, and a few slices of bacon.
After dinner, Li Mu rested for a while as usual, and then set out on the road to search for supplies.
The moon rose in the sky again, and Li Mu stepped on the moonlight, carrying an assault rifle, holding a two-handed axe in his hand, and a Viking flying axe and a military dagger hanging from his legs, walking towards a school in the distance under the cover of shadows.
Zlata said they passed by during the day when they followed Elena to get relief supplies. I vaguely saw a figure flickering inside. But because I was in a hurry to get the supplies, I didn't go there.
Li Mu planned to go and have a look, and if he could communicate, he wouldn't mind exchanging information with them. It's the third day of entering this mission, and he's been struggling to survive for the past few days, but now it's a little easier and needs to explore the plot.
Li Mu cautiously lay in the ruins and looked at the school in the distance.
The school is not very big, with two buildings in front and back, and a courtyard in the middle. The building in front was bombarded with artillery shells and turned into a large garbage heap. Obviously there could be no one living in it. The building in the back is still relatively intact, and the windows are covered with heavy curtains or bricks. The planks were plugged up. It's just that the blocking is not tight, and occasionally there will be a glimmer of light coming through.
"It seems that there are indeed people, but how to get in, we still need to think about it for a while." Li Mu quietly climbed down the ruins of the building, made a big circle, and came to the back of the school. Li Mu himself hides in the shadows of the trees. Then summoned the ghost wolf. After being summoned, the ghost wolf rubbed his neck on Li Mu's trouser tube and then turned into an elemental state and infiltrated the back building of the school.
The building was clearly staffed by military-savvy personnel, and several entrances and exits were cordoned off. If you're not careful, you might really get hit. None of this is a problem for the elemental state of the ghost wolf, though. Neither an empty canned box nor a tripwire treacherous thunder could have even the slightest effect on the ghost wolf. The ghost wolf walked in like that.
There wasn't much on the ground floor, just some construction waste or something. The houses on both sides were also piled up with various debris, apparently to prevent anyone from sneaking in. The hallway was also thick with dust, and it was clearly not human.
The ghost wolf crept down the stairs to the second floor.
The second floor is noticeably in much better condition than the first floor. At least it was much cleaner, and there were many rooms that had been rearranged and there were apparently people living in it.
The ghost wolf continued to walk forward, stopping in a brightly lit room, and then entering the room through the crack in the door.
This is a room that has been converted from a regular classroom. Inside, there were several beds made up of desks and thin futons. Two girls sit around with a rebel soldier in a military uniform.
A candle was lit on the table, and the flickering light of the fire reflected several young faces. A rebel soldier is arguing with a young girl.
"Bozhna, it's not that I'm not going to save, but I need intelligence. In case there is some ambush on the other side, then we are all finished. The rebel soldiers were arguing fiercely.
"I don't care, my friend was kidnapped by them, and now we have to go and save her, and if it's too late, God knows what will happen to her. And a few of you are hesitating here. If you don't dare to go, leave the gun, and I'll save her. "The girl called Bozhna was very emotional.
"No way, I won't let you mess around like this, if you're like this, I'll have to lock you up." The rebel soldier frowned and said coldly.
"Okay, you close, you're off, now the fox's tail is exposed, you want to lock me up, and then, what tricks do you want to play? Don't think I don't know what's going on in your head, now give you two paths, either hand over the gun or just follow me to save people. Bozhna stood up and said angrily.
Crash. There was a sound of pulling the bolt of a gun, and the rebel soldiers pointed their guns at Bozhna. "Bozhna, I helped you because we were neighbors. Don't think too highly of yourself, like you, I go to Dongcheng and exchange a box of canned food for two. Now sit down honestly and act as if nothing happened. ”
"Hehe, haha, how about it, finally show the fox's tail, I knew you were unreliable, I didn't expect it to be so soon. It's disappointing. Bozhna didn't show any anger on her face, but looked calm.
"Okay, I don't have time to mess with you, sit down quickly." The rebel soldier had an impatient look on his face.
"Sit down, why should I listen to you? Just with your broken gun? Come, I'll show you a big baby. Bozhna said as she felt a round thing from her bosom.
"Grenade? How could you have it? Put it down, do you want to kill us? The rebel soldiers were visibly taken aback. Hurriedly took a step back.
The girl ripped off the safety of the grenade, then threw it aside, then held the handle tightly with one hand, and said indifferently, "Come on, shoot, see if I will let go of my hand before I die." ”
"You're crazy, are you going to die with us? Even if you die, you have to think about Arya, are you so willing to let her die with you? The rebel soldiers took a few steps back in fright.
"Hehe, in this world, death is a relief, don't you say?" Bozhna rounded the table and pressed forward step by step.
"Don't, don't come here." The rebel soldier retreated step by step, and just as he was about to flee, he suddenly felt a pain in his lower back, and just as he was about to turn back, he felt a cold in his neck, and then a stream of heat gushed out, and then his eyes went dark, and he never woke up.
