My great-grandfather's name was Liu Yi, and at the age of fifteen he began to work as a captain at the Yellow River ferry in Yanjin County. At that time, the Yellow River was watery, and there was no bridge on the river, so merchants and freight logistics relied on ferries by boats. My great-grandfather is not the only one who ferries in the Yellow River, there are many people on both sides of the river like my great-grandfather who make a living by ferrying, at this time there are five or six boats parked on the shore, and those boats see that there is business, they have rowed towards the old man, and my great-grandfather also hurried to eat the fire in two by three at this time, and supported the boat over.
