Chapter 10: Find the Man Behind the Scenes
Slade is doing his job perfunctorily in the office, probing his ears for every chance of getting into Obadiah Stein's office. But the good opportunity never presented itself, and Slade was a little anxious, and was about to force his way in the evening, when Ms. Potts brought a list.
"Wilson, send an email to everyone on this list, and the email says that Obadia Stein urgently convened the board of directors this afternoon to discuss the disappearance of the CEO. Send it as soon as possible, understand? Ms. Potts said.
Slade nodded to Ms. Potts with a smile in his heart. Finally waiting for the opportunity.
Slade waited until 5 p.m., Obadiah Stan had been in the conference room for half an hour, ten minutes earlier, Obadiah Stein's secretary had just left the company, and it was time to act.
In order to prevent being caught by others, Slade first went to the security room at the door, and took a package belonging to Obadiah Stein under the pretext of being an intern of Obadiah Stan's secretary. In this way, there is an excuse to enter their office.
With the package in hand, Slade took the elevator to the first floor where Obadia Stein's office was located. Sure enough, the entire floor was empty, and Slade knocked on the door of Obadia*'s office first. Test if there is anyone in the office in case your intelligence is wrong and the operation fails. No one responded, so Slade pushed open a little door and looked through the crack in the office to see that Obadiah Stein was not there.
Slade breathed a sigh of relief and walked over to Obadia Stein's desk and made it to the chair. Wow, this boss chair is more comfortable than a high school student's chair like the one in Slade. I don't have time to enjoy it, so hurry up and continue the task.
Slade shook the mouse, and the display showed a login screen that required the user to enter a username and password.
Slade took out the unlock chip, and the success of this mission depended on this thing that was not as big as a palm. Plug the unlock chip into the USB port of the computer, and the computer will pop up a red window "Security Alert" just like the last time, and a series of codes will appear on the screen. A green pop-up pop-up popped up, "Permission allowed!" ”
Unlocking the chip successfully bypassed the firewall and entered the interface of Obadia Stein's computer. With so many documents, Slade felt at a loss to start.
Slade simply looks for the hidden hard drive. Most of the hidden hard disks are detailed structural drawings of weapons, detailed structural drawings of "Jericho" missiles, and so on, all of which are the most important trade secrets of the company's fortune. But that's none of Slade's business, what Slade needs to find is a clue about Tony Stark's disappearance.
Half of the documents Slade searched were almost all drawings of the weapon's structure, and Slade decided to find something different. There is only one video file in all of these files, so Slade simply skips the other files and double-clicks on the only video.
On the video, a group of terrorists dressed in distinctly Middle Eastern style, with headscarves wrapped around their heads and their faces covered, allowing only their eyes to be seen. In an enclosed environment, there is a red flag in the background, and on the flag there is a circle on the flag, which intersects in pairs, forming a large circle, and in the middle of the large circle there are two knives forming an X-shape. Everyone has a good weapon in their hand, and Slade takes a closer look, isn't this all some Stark Industries' own guns, which are only supplied to the US military? Everyone sat on a bench around a man in a casual suit with a distinctly different style of dressing, his head covered by a broken bag. A terrorist next to him took off the hood of the man in a casual suit, and it was none other than Tony Stark, who disappeared not long ago. The language coming out of the video was incomprehensible to Slade, but it felt like it should be a ransom or something like that.
This video has not been circulated in the outside world, and it seems that only this Obadia Stein has such a video. Slade felt that this had been able to test his initial hypothesis that Obadia Stan and Tony Stark's disappearance were inextricably linked.
It's not too early, and he doesn't know how long Obadiah Stan has to finish the meeting, so Slade hurriedly copies the entire hidden hard drive files. Putting the unlock chip in his pocket, he restored Obadia Stein's computer and mouse to the way he used it, and walked out of the office without blushing or beating his heart.
As soon as I got out, the elevator door opened, and it was Obadiah who was walking in front of me. Slade hurriedly grabbed the delivery he had gone to the guard room to get for cover.
Obadiah spotted the young man he had never seen before, "Who are you, young man?" ”
Slade quickly replied, "I'm an intern on this summer program, my name is Slade Wilson, and I'm from Brooklyn, New York. ”
Obadiah was indeed an old fox, and continued to ask, "It seems that this floor is not for interns, right?" ”
Slade hurriedly handed over the courier in his hand: "Sir, this is your courier." Uncle Janitor had something to do and said that this package was urgent and that I needed to deliver it personally. That's why I dared to go up to this level. Slade pretended to be very nervous, and looked a little in awe of the boss.
Obadiah nodded and pointed to the elevator door, "You can go." ”
Slade hurried to the elevator without looking back. Slade didn't have eyes behind him, otherwise he would have seen Obadiastein staring at him with the look of longing.
Slade entered the elevator cubicle, feeling much safer in such a confined environment. Slade breathed a few sighs of relief, reached into his pocket, and shook the unlock chip, which was covered with sweat from his nervous palms.
Slade returns to his intern's cubicle and retrieves the video he found, opening Google Translate to hear what the terrorist is reading.
"You didn't tell us that you were going to kill the great Tony Stark. As you see, Obadiah Stan, you have to pay dearly for your lies. The price of killing Tony Stark has gone up! When Slade heard this, he was surprised and delighted. I'm glad I guessed right, but I'm surprised that I didn't expect that I really guessed right.
Doesn't Obadia Stan know that Tony Stark is the backbone of this company, right? Without Tony Stark, there would be no such state-of-the-art weapons, and there would be no Stark Industries, the leader of the military industry!
Despite the doubts in his heart, Slade couldn't care about him. This video proves that Obadia Stan paid someone to attack Tony Stark.
Now it is no longer necessary to speculate on the motive, what matters is how to get Tony Stark out.
