Chapter 51: Finding a Tool
The crowd quickly found the dock. A dilapidated torpedo boat was docked by the dock, covered in rust marks.
Reyes helped Rose to the side and sat down, then jumped into the speedboat: "I'll see if it still works." ”
The rest of the people stood by, slightly nervous as they watched her inspect the boat.
After a while, Reyes looked up at the crowd and said, "I have good news and bad news, which one do you want to hear first?" ”
"Well, how about some good news? I've heard enough bad news these days. Alex preemptively said.
"The good news is that the ship is still functional, and I should be able to fix it." Reyes said.
"Oh yes!" Alex shook his fist and said in an uplifted tone, "That's good news. ”
"Where's the bad news?" Jonah asked again.
"The bad news is that the ship needs to be overhauled, and it will take a lot of time. What's more, I'm missing a lot of tools. Reyes said lightly.
"These are the little things, and we'll fix it." Alex said optimistically.
Reyes was noncommittal: "We need to find the tools first, otherwise I won't be able to fix the ship." ”
"There may be tools on the ships that run aground nearby." Laura said immediately.
Alex followed, "The Endurance is over there, I can go there and find some tools." ”
Reyes said, "There are some tools that are not on the Stoic, and you are going to take the lead. Some went to the Perseverance, others to other ships in the vicinity. ”
Su Bai said, "In this way, Laura and I will go to other ships to find tools, and Alex will go to the Endurance." The others stayed here to help Reyes. ”
"Alex, what about your opinion?" Reyes looked at Alex.
"I ......," Alex opened his mouth to stop talking, but nodded anyway, "Okay, I'll go to the Endurance." ”
"Then arrange it like this." Reyes looked at Laura and Su Bai, "I'll give you a list, you guys find the tools on it as soon as possible." ”
"We'll do our best." Laura nodded.
After a few moments, Reyes wrote what she needed. Put the list in Laura's hands.
"Let's go, Laura." Su Bai said to Laura.
"Be careful, dear." Shanmansha took Laura's hand and said, then looked at Su Bai again, hesitated for a moment, and said, "And you, Su." You have to be careful. ”
Su Bai was stunned, smiled at her, and nodded: "We will." ”
The two walked along the broken wooden bridge that stretched out from the pier towards a galleon that had run aground.
Jump to a tower at the end of the wooden bridge, climb to the top of the platform, and find a zipline leading to the sailboat.
"It must have been done by the Solarians or the survivors on the ship." Su Bai guessed, "It's just convenient for us now, and we don't have to swim through the water anymore." ”
Laura looked at the tattered wreckage in front of her and said, "Hopefully there's something we need on there." ”
"Let's go. If it's not a big deal, look for other ships nearby. Su Bai said with a smile.
The two landed on a zipline to a wooden platform in front of the shipwreck.
Looking at the huge wreckage close at hand, Laura exclaimed, "It's amazing, Portuguese style...... It looks like a sailing ship from the early 18th century. ”
"Leave this alone, let's go up and have a look."
Su Bai took the lead and walked towards the front.
The two climbed onto the reef and burrowed into the cabin through a large hole in the hull.
As soon as he landed, he suddenly heard a voice from in front of him.
"Who the hell are those people? They looked like they had guns. ”
"I don't know! Let me think. ”
Both of them were startled, and after glancing at each other, Laura whispered, "They don't sound like Solari's people." ”
"It can't be the surviving crew of this ship." Su Bai frowned, "Let's quietly touch it over and see the situation." ”
Laura nodded slightly.
"This radio has been broken for hours and we can't contact anyone else, man. Oh, what the hell are we going to do? ”
"Damn! Can your mouth be closed for a few seconds? Let me think! ”
"Something must have happened, you see smoke coming out of the mountains."
"Yes, but not necessarily. We'll wait until it gets dark to sneak in and have a look. ”
"Wait...... Do you think that's good? Maybe we should wait here for the next round of shifts. ”
"That's going to have to wait until the world is old, something is wrong, brother. You'd better hurry up and prepare, and we'll set off when the sun goes down. ”
"Looks like we guessed wrong, these two guys are also from Solari." Hearing the sound of conversation coming from inside, Su Bai said in a low voice, "But they still don't know what's going on inside, it seems that they are unlucky people who are not taken seriously and are sent over." ”
As he spoke, he took off his bow and arrows, "I'm not sure if there are any other Solarians nearby, so we'd better not make too much of a fuss." ”
From the method of joining Solari, it can be seen that even the marginal characters in it, absolutely no one is innocent.
Therefore, Laura did not hesitate, and also changed into a bow and arrow, ready to shoot the cultists in sight.
The two of them continued on until they came to a break in the middle of the sailboat. On the opposite side, a Solari with a weapon on his back stood at the edge of the breach, looking boredly out at the sea.
Su Bai searched around, but did not find the second disciple, so he opened the bowstring at that disciple.
Shout!
With a low thud, the arrow pierced the disciple's neck. Immediately, the corpse slammed forward and fell into the sea below.
"The other one should be on top, let's jump over first." Su Bai whispered to Laura.
Laura nodded silently.
"I'll go over first, you stay here and cover me."
Su Bai said another sentence and put the bow on his back. Taking a deep breath, he took two steps back and then jerked forward, his body smoothly crossing the gap on both sides of the sailboat and landing into the other cabin.
Immediately after landing, he removed his bow and aimed it at the wooden ladder leading to the upper deck.
Laura jumped after her.
The two of them quietly went up the wooden ladder, and just when they appeared, they saw a cultist just turn around and look in the direction of the wooden ladder.
The disciple was stunned for a moment, and before he could react, Su Bai had already released an arrow with a quick hand, taking his life.
Having dealt with this enemy, Su Bai once again drew an arrow and put it on his bow, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings vigilantly.
After a few moments, there was no movement from the entire wreckage. That's when he relaxed.
"Looks like it's just the two of them." Su Bai said to Laura, and did not lower his voice again.
"Let's find the tools Reyes wants first." Laura said.
Su Bai looked around and said, "The pulley set that Reyes wants should be able to be found on the mast above." I'll climb up and get it, and you'll look for something else down there. ”
