Chapter Twenty-Eight: Quinta's Vision
The fat man guarded Rena, and Bluebell walked into the town step by step. Quinta followed into the town as well, but her face was indifferent.
Most of the buildings in the town are built of thatch and yellow mud, with only a small number of masonry. Bustling crowds crowd the streets, vendors hawking their wares, customers haggling, thieves avoiding the patrols of the guards and sneaking into the crowd to commit crimes.
This illusion is so real that there seems to be no hint of falsehood. And where is Wren hidden? Bluebell cautiously roamed the streets, keeping an eye out for any unusual movement in the crowd.
When Bluebell was almost finished walking down the street, he was suddenly hit by someone. I saw that the man looked at the blue bell in a panic, and disappeared at the end of the street in an instant.
Bluebell realizes that something is wrong, and when he looks down, he suddenly realizes that the bell on his wrist is missing. Damn, Bluebell was furious. He immediately chased after him to the end of the street.
On the intricate paths, the blue bell rushes left and right, judging the direction of the thief from the footsteps. However, they only hear their voices and do not see their people.
When Bluebell chased him down a street where the crowd was slightly sparse, he saw the crowd on the street looking at him at the same time. I saw that these people invariably picked up all kinds of weapons and pressed towards the blue bell step by step.
Angry in his heart, Blue Bell pulled out a long knife and slashed his head and face. For a moment, flesh and blood flew sideways, and blood splattered ten steps.
After fighting his way out, he saw the thief at the end of the street looking at him with a mocking smile.
"Leave me something!" Bluebell pointed his long knife at the thief and said angrily. The thief was silent, and slipped away in the blink of an eye.
Bluebell panted and continued to chase after him, but when he reached a small square, he saw that the thief had stopped running away, and with a wicked smile on his face, he had slit his own neck artery with the dagger in his hand. As blood spurted, the bell also fell to the ground with a crisp sound.
Bluebell watched the strange scene and walked vigilantly towards the thief's corpse. When he picked up the bell, he saw that the thief, though dead, was still looking at him with those deep eyes.
At this moment, Bluebell realizes that the thief seems to be able to lure himself here. It's not hard to guess that this must be the mirror demon doing the trick. But why?
Just then, Quinta stepped out of a dark alley. The moment he stepped into the square, there was a sudden flurry. At that moment, he looked left and right, and his face gradually showed a trace of horror.
"What's wrong?" Bluebell asked tentatively.
"You can't see it?" Quinta asked rhetorically, in a trembling voice.
"See what?" Bluebell suddenly felt his scalp tingle, and the long knife in his hand became tighter and tighter. However, there was silence in the square, and there was nothing but the body of the thief.
Gradually, a thin figure gradually appeared out of thin air from the square. It was a little boy, about seven or eight years old, covered in mud, with only those eyes shining purely.
Quinta couldn't stop shaking her shoulders when she saw the little boy. Immediately, more and more figures appeared in the square, and ten thousand rays of light suddenly shot out of the sky, illuminating the square as if it were day.
Noise and shouting rang out, and a huge black cage appeared in the middle of the square. Fanatical people climbed into the cage and screamed inside.
Blue Bell saw a vicious dog swimming in the black cage, and the body was similar to that of Black Shell. Two vicious men pushed the seven or eight-year-old boy into the cage.
At the same time, Quinta shouted in horror, "No, no, no!" Suddenly, he hid his face with his hands, as if he didn't dare to look at the next scene.
Bluebell frowned and silently approached the cage. Seeing that the vicious dog pounced on the little boy and bit him on the thigh, blood immediately flowed profusely, and the little boy let out a heart-rending scream.
The vicious dog did not let him go because of this, but was even more aroused by his ferocity, and tore the little boy's thigh hard, only to tear off a large piece of flesh in an instant.
"Kill him, kill it!" The frantic crowd was shouting, not knowing who they wanted to kill whom.
When the vicious dog devoured the piece of flesh, the little boy actually stood up, and his originally pure eyes radiated a fierce light. He lifted a not-sharp iron dagger from the ground and limped towards the vicious dog.
With a low roar in his mouth, the vicious dog pounced on the little boy head-on, but this time it bit the other leg of the little boy. Just as the vicious dog wanted to hissed another piece of meat from the boy's leg, the little boy stabbed the dog in the abdomen with the closure of his hand, again and again, as if he didn't care about the pain in his leg at all.
Eventually, the boy sat down on the ground weakly, and the vicious dog was no longer breathing.
"Roar!" The crowd erupted into even louder cries. The little boy was dragged out and put into a pigsty where he ate with the pigs. The vicious dog was thrown into a boiling cauldron and turned into a fishy broth.
At this moment, Bluebell suddenly felt that everything in front of him felt very familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had seen this scene.
It didn't take long for the second battle in the black cage.
One of the sides of the battle was a long-haired man in a visor, tall and well-proportioned man; On the other side was something covered in a black tarpaulin.
When the black tarpaulin was lifted, a flash of essence suddenly flashed in Bluebell's eyes. It was a strange creature with a body of nearly three meters, with a slender body and limbs like dry branches, but the head was surprisingly large and triangular.
Although he had never seen anything alive before, Bluebell had seen the corpse of the creature. It's in the underground warehouse of Black Rock.
As the battle began, the black-armored man suddenly let out a loud cry, and his body began to crack, bursting with a blue light from the cracks in his skin, and then blue flames ignited.
Seeing this scene, Bluebell suddenly realized. It was determined that the man in front of him was Wren, but it was Wren in the past, and the square in front of him was everything that had happened in Black Rock Town.
But what is the cause of this illusion? Although the Mirror Demon is unpredictable, it cannot create an illusion out of thin air, and must have an actual carrier as its foundation.
At this point, Bluebell suddenly turned to look at Quinta. I saw him kneeling on the ground, his head bowed and motionless, and his state was unknown.
"Quinta?" Bluebell shouted tentatively. Kunta, however, did not respond.
At this time, the battle in the black cage had begun.
Wren lunged straight at him like a beast, flipped the strange creature over, rode it onto it, and slammed his fist into the head.
The creature struggled violently, but could not escape Wren's suppression. It seemed destined to be a battle without suspense. But what does all this really mean? Bluebell was puzzled.
