Chapter 4: The Smoke Trail

Black Rock Town, smoke billowing out.

The vast majority of people died as a result of yesterday's explosion. Including the unstoppable cannibal ruler Baal.

When Baal was about to throw the two undecided gladiators into the cauldron, he didn't know who threw a fire into the basement of Black Rock, and all the stored fuel was ignited, which caused a violent explosion that almost turned the entire town of Black Rock upside down.

Most terrifyingly, the explosion caused the collapse of the towering cliff, and the falling boulders almost buried the town of Black Rock completely. However, hope and disaster always coexist at the same time. After the cliff collapsed, a road to the east was opened.

Outside Black Rock Town, in front of a tin chariot, a fat man stared fearfully at the smoke and fire ahead.

"Peter, I'll be forgiven, won't I?" The fat man swallowed his saliva, a little weak-hearted.

"Squeak." The little monkey looked at the fat man with a sympathetic expression.

"And do you want to be held responsible?" The fat man turned his head to look at the little monkey with ill-intentioned eyes in his eyes.

"Squeak." The little monkey suddenly jumped on top of the car like a fur, grinning at the fat man in protest.

"Fat Pan, you don't have to die well......" At this moment, two bloody figures crawled out of the thick smoke of Black Rock Town. Like the devil in hell, he issued the most vicious curse on the fat man.

The fat man subconsciously turned around and was about to flee, but he didn't run far and retreated again, turning out the emergency bag from the car and running towards the two figures.

Big Han Kunta's injuries were very serious, with a large hole in his chest, and it is not known how he survived. The young man Iwayama's right leg was no longer able to move, but he was still holding a half-piece wooden stick more than a foot long in his hand, and his eyes were numb and he looked at the fat man.

"Come here...... Father...... Guaranteed not to kill you. Iwayama raised the wooden stick weakly and hissed at the fat man, his eyes filled with tears.

The fat man seemed to be a little unbearable, and hurriedly ran up to bandage the two. The boy Iwaiyama kept gently hitting the top of the fat man's head with a wooden stick, but it was like tickling, and he passed out without two knocks.

"Fatty, think about the problem...... Use your brain. Dahan Kunta stared at the fat man with hatred, and his head tilted and he was unconscious.

"It's a blessing to survive." The fat man sighed sadly.

The first aid kit was well equipped, and it was clear that the gang used it a lot. It didn't take long for the fat man to quickly wrap the two of them into rice dumplings and stuff them into the tin chariot with Peter's help.

"Don't worry, Peter. You've seen their resilience. The fat man comforted Peter as he played poker. In fact, he was just comforting himself.

The little monkey glanced inside through the glass of the cab and covered his eyes a little unbearably.

Night falls, in a stone house.

"This is the last night, and I hope it will be safe." Rena prayed with her hands together on the bed, but her eyes kept glancing uneasily out the window.

"Sleep, take care of your spirits, and leave tomorrow morning." Wren whispered comfort.

Bluebell couldn't sleep for a long time, and there was a feeling that something was going to happen tonight.

At midnight, the breathtaking footsteps were heard again, and monsters fell from the sky. Extrapolating from the irregular earth tremors, the monster that came this time was not a single one.

There was silence in the stone house, but none of the three of them were asleep.

Bluebell opened his eyes, and in the pitch darkness, he suddenly felt a vibration of the bell on his right wrist. Then, a blue glow illuminated the stone house. The scary thing is that some things that are usually invisible are also visible under the blue light.

A large number of transparent humanoid monsters filled the stone house, their bodies twisted, their faces hideous, and their eyes radiating a seeping ghostly light. These transparent weirdos crawl around the Bluebell's side.

Wren and Rena haven't been able to get out of here, could it be that they're playing tricks? Bluebell thought to herself.

Bluebell quietly stretched out her right hand and tried to shake the bell, but it didn't make any sound. Just as he was disappointed, a blue light came out of the bell and circled the transparent weirdos.

Those points of light slowly hovered around the strange man, as if communicating. Gradually, the light gradually penetrated into the bodies of those transparent monsters, peeling away the traces of smoke, and at the same time, strange pictures appeared in Bluebell's mind, as if telling the ancient stories of this black land.

I don't know how long ago it was a land full of life. People planted, harvested, multiplied on this land, and lived in peace and tranquility.

However, suddenly one day.

The originally blue sky was blood-red, as if some substance was burning violently in the atmosphere. A behemoth appears on the frame, billowing smoke falling towards the east, the exposed parts glittering with metallic light.

Although the unknown fall did not cause casualties in the land, it was like a seed of uneasiness that took root in people's hearts. After that, yellow smoke wafted through the air, and the heavens and the earth seemed to fall into eternal twilight. Most disturbingly, people began to contract terrible diseases, crops began to wither, water sources were polluted, and a lot of suffering spread among the people.

Eventually, the first aborigines left for the East, but many of them did not return, facing them with a series of cliffs and no road to the East.

Gradually, death and despair sprouted in the earth, and people prayed to unknown gods in fear to snuggle up to each other. However, their prayers went unanswered, and more severe disasters followed.

One night, a horde of monsters descended in the fog, spitting flames from their mouths and burning everything that was left of the land, including those who had been awakened in their sleep.

Those who could not resist had to start digging holes in the ground and surviving in the underground space. However, food and water have become obstacles to survival. Again and again people fled to the east, and this time no one returned.

The depictions in these images are identical to the wall carvings seen in the underground halls. Obviously, it also proves the identity of these transparent weirdos.

After seeing these pictures, Bluebell's eyes were no longer frightened, but naturally showed a look of compassion. Because he could feel a deep sense of uneasiness and a feeling of helplessness. Those blue points of light seem to convey kindness and sympathy to those transparent eccentrics, or souls of pain and despair.

It may be that the long period of loneliness and loneliness has made them distorted, unwilling to see anyone leave the land. This is also the fundamental reason why Ren and Rena have never been able to get out of here.

Bluebell tries to integrate her consciousness into the bell and transmit it through those blue dots of light.

"Come with me and see the outside world. I know a path to hope. ”

The souls seemed to have really taken the message from the blue bell, and their emotions became gentle, and their faces were not hideous, but they were still sad.

"I swear in the name of the Children of Light that I will live and die with you, and I will never forsake you." Bluebell made a sincere vow, and the souls were silent for a long time before finally making a final decision. The figure faded away, merging into the blue glow and converging into the bell on Bluebell's right wrist.

All this seems simple, but it makes Bluebell's spirit feel extremely tired, as if it has experienced a vicious battle. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep.

In his dream, he saw in the distance, a figure in the light beckoning to him, but the voice was extremely ethereal, as if it came from a distant time and space.

"Seventh son, come to find your destiny."
