Chapter Forty-Eight: The procrastination is finally over
Guo ** opened the deformed hatch, dragged the unconscious navigator out of the burning cabin, and dragged the lucky guy to a safe place. As he began to search around for Quarridge, he found that the angry paladin was only a dozen meters away from him, with a pile of scrap metal that used to be MK-6 lying next to him.
Quaric's MK-6. Before the assault transport plane crashed, he jumped on the bipedal combat machine and escaped, unexpectedly the paladin was already waiting below.
There is no doubt that this will be the case.
The colonel was unlucky. Guo Bo regretted this. But thankfully, he's alive and can live for a long time.
Things will soon be over here.
Sending a message on the tactical intelligence network, Guo Bo straightened his uniform, put his hands behind his back, hummed "Valkyrie" with his head held high, and paced his opponent leisurely. His attitude undoubtedly made the paladin a little suspicious, and he didn't immediately smash his head - regardless of whether he succeeded or not.
Of course, Guo Bo will not create any opportunities for him, and he does not get too close.
"That's it, Doctor." He raised his chin proudly, "Your defeat is irreparable." β
The paladin clenched his weapon.
Guo Bo smiled back. "Personally, I think you should accept this irrefutable fact calmly, and it will be good for us."
The paladin remained silent.
"Don't you want to say something?" Guo Bo asked curiously.
"I just want to know what shapes you." Paladin said.
"I think it's two time-traveling experiences and a decade of warlord career...... Guo Bo thought, wanting to say moreβhe had enough stories to write a long novelβbut he soon realized that what the paladin needed was not an answer, but a momentary oversight.
The paladin did what he wanted.
The divine energy struck Guo Bo, causing a thump that almost knocked him unconscious, and it was also burning his body. Then the paladin rushed forward, holding the hammer aloft, and if Guo Bo's reaction was any slower, the contents of his brain would have splashed everywhere.
If, and only if.
He unleashed the ability.
The paladin's body froze, then staggered back a few steps, threw the hammer aside, and held his head and let out a piercing scream: "Get out of my head!" β
"You've disappointed me, doctor." Guo Bo shook his head and commented, "Look what you did? Use trial ...... on me It was a judgment just now, right? You're supposed to use the Hammer of Sanctions, and then the Judgment, the Crusader Strike, the Holy Storm, and that's what the guys I know who roll the keyboard with their facesβ"
Despite the difficulty, the paladin interrupted him: "What are you talking about when?" β
"So, I've been gone for too long, so the way the paladins fight has changed?" Guo Bo touched his chin, "So is the shaman still moving honor?" β
This time, the paladin ignored him: the question was funny and stupid, and he wouldn't use his limited power to answer it.
Guo Bo waited for a while, and finally shrugged his shoulders and concluded, "You really should listen to me, doctor." β
He drew his pistol and aimed it at the paladin's head. It was loaded before the assault formation departed, and the safety was lifted, and now a bullet was fired with a slight pull of the trigger, ripping off the paladin's skull if not an arrow pierced his wrist.
Ifs again.
Guo Bo began to hate the word.
He sighed, twisted his body slightly to avoid the second arrow, and looked at the source of the attack. The Elven Ranger has set up his third arrow. When she let go of her right hand, the druid on the side suddenly crashed into her left hand, and the arrow deflected and flew past him.
"It's not my fault!" The druid shouted, "He's in my head." β
"I know, Nick, stay away from me now." The Elven Ranger suppressed his anger and drew his fourth arrow.
This time she didn't rush to ejaculate it. Guo Bo's psychic strength made her vigilant, realizing that she could not win alone, and would only waste her strength and precious arrows. So she waited, waiting for the paladin to overcome her mental anguish, for the druid to heal her injuries.
Guo Bo understood her thoughts and grinned. "You think I can't deal with you?"
"If you can, you should do it now." The Elven Ranger replied. She had seen through his bravado: if he was really that powerful enough to deal with three people at once, she and Nick would be as painful as Sue.
"You're a little clever, ma'am, but cleverness won't save you and your friends." Guo Bo said as he casually broke the arrow on his wrist, and then pulled the remaining half away from the other side. Then he turned completely to face the Elven Ranger: "A hint, why do you think I'm a person?" β
The sudden attack testified to him. The rocket exploded very close to the Elven Ranger, and the shockwave lifted her up and pushed her far away. The collision of the fragments and the landing wounded her again, and she turned several times in quick succession before stopping, losing her bow and arrows. She endured the pain and struggled to get up, just in time to see the druid fleeing into the woods under the onslaught of the two Scorpions. He threw all the spells he could use on himself to delay time, but to no avail, the bullets and fragments hit him one after another, leaving his skin and flesh flying, and the light of the healing spell quickly disappeared, and after another half a second, a missile hit his place.
The druid has nothing left to prove that he ever existed.
Guo Bo watched the smoke gradually dissipate. "Poor fellow." He commented briefly, picking up the pistol with his left hand and aiming it at the paladin again. "Do you have any last words, Doctor?"
"We'll meet again, Commissar." The paladin looked at him, "In Hades." β
"No, we won't, and forever." Guo Bo said with regret, and at the same time pulled the trigger, one after another, until the magazine was emptied.
He didn't want to do this, it was Qin Lang's bad hobby, but the holy light still sheltered its faithful followers, and only the last of the fifteen bullets had an effect.
Guo Bo heard the hint of the main god, and the woman's scream. He dropped his pistol and sat down next to the paladin's corpse. Exhausted from the overuse of his psychic abilities, he didn't want to do anything now but sleep for a few hours - while the Elven Ranger was still a threat, she was regular.
So he hit his head on the ground and soon fell unconscious.
By the time Guo Bo opened his eyes again, he had already returned to the small living room of the country house.
Except for Mo Fei, the rest of the squad was there. The strong smell of convenience food in the room indicated that a shabby meal was being held here, and that they had eaten several times better every day for the past three months than the Lord God had provided, so no matter who it was, there was not a single smile on his face.
"We always need a cook." He Xie waved a plastic fork, "Or a smart machine that can cook." β
"You're the leader, it's up to you." Qin Lang said.
"Am I the chief? That's weird! He Xie called, "If I am the leader, I should be the protagonist, in fact? I made a pitiful number of appearances, only a little time, and no outstanding performance. So I'm a supporting character with a lot of lines - you guys stealing the show! β
"I'm sorry, boss, but it's not our fault that we robbed you of the show." Qin Lang stretched out his hand. His next sentence was to Guo Bo: "What do you want?" β
Guo Bo found a seat next to the dining table. "What's there?"
"Instant noodles."
"What about the others?"
"Instant noodles, instant noodles and instant noodles."
"Forget it, thank you." Guo Bo completely lost his appetite. Cursing the Lord God in his heart, he focused his attention on the deathmatch that had just ended. "How's the end result?"
"What else?" He Xie said angrily, "We won, and we have killed almost all the enemies, the sapphire squad, a handful of traitors, and thousands of Pandora natives, congratulations." β
"What's wrong with him?" Guo Bo turned to the routine on the side and asked in a low voice.
"Post-war settlement." "We got the same number of kill points as expected, but the Lord God counted most of the results to the RDA's security forces, and only gave us a few, some of which were split equally among the entire squad, so the reward points were much less." β
"How much less?"
"More than half. I got the most points, less than thirty-five thousand, and our dear captain was only a third of that number. β
"No," He Xie corrected. "It's thirty-five percent."
He was undoubtedly annoyed by the results, and otherwise he would not have cared about a two-percentage, and only verbal error.
Guo Bo nodded, and then asked, "Then who has the least?" β
The corners of the regular mouth turned upward, squeezing out a smile: "If nothing else, you." β
At first, Guo Bo thought she was joking, but he quickly remembered that this half-human, half-machine teammate didn't like to joke and didn't need to do so, so he quickly checked the record on the bracelet and was immediately taken aback.
He jumped up like a cat that had been stepped on by its tail. "Three thousand seven?"
He Xie began to laugh, slapping the table hard, and laughing and laughing, laughing and laughing. Qin Lang's reaction was slightly better than hisβbut only slightly.
Guo Bo's face became extremely ugly.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"You didn't personally kill any of the traitors or the natives of Pandora, that's why." Regular then tells him, "All of your bonus points come from the portion of the squad that splits evenly." β
"That's not right," Guo Bo protested, "I control the battle of the entire attack formation, and the mercenaries will also have my share of the results." β
Routine gave him a helpless look. "You must say this to the Lord God, Commissar."
"I will, when I get the chance." Guo Bo tried to make his tone sound fierce. But he also knew that it didn't make sense like the villains saying "I'll be back" β only the T800 had fully delivered on its promise so far β and he slid into his chair and waved weakly, "Okay, we'll just have to think seriously about what we should do with these bonus points." β
