Prologue: Meteorite (Revised)

Next Chapter

A dazzling trail was drawn in the sky, but it disappeared from everyone's view in a flash under the colorful neon light of the night market.

After a violent impact, a black-gray meteorite the size of a basketball fell into the alley, sinking deep into the concrete.

The loud noise scared away the wild dogs looking for food in the garbage heap, but it was still muffled by the hustle and bustle of the night market.

The faint smell of burnt dissipated, and the red-hot light on the meteorite gradually extinguished, but everything did not subside.

In the meteorite is a pink jelly-like mass, which does not boil or deteriorate under the high temperature of friction, but only changes quietly.

The surface of the meteorite suddenly cracked into a layer of fine cracks, and a little air penetrated into it, like a little spark touching diesel fuel, and it reacted violently in the pink jelly.

A little bit of air was dissolved in the liquid, and strange structures in the jelly were formed in the form of tubes, balls, and flakes, some of which burst into small bubbles, and some of which smoothly fused together and multiplied.

The tissues that reacted with the explosion dissolved again and merged into the smoothly fused structure, becoming its nourishment.

Soon more than half of the jelly-like substance was consumed, forming a thumb-sized pink slug-like creature wriggling in a puddle of waste.

The shell of the meteorite didn't know what mechanism it had touched, and it actively cracked into a piece of powder.

Coming from outside the sky, it was bathed in alien air and finally adapted to the environment smoothly.

The gap between life and life is so great that the substance on which one depends may be the poison of the other. In a corner that no one noticed, it completed the evolution of life on Earth for hundreds of millions of years, adapted to the environment here, and survived the most difficult nascent stage!

As the slugs took shape, a cluster of incomprehensible brainwave reactions exploded.

Damn, shit, shit!

Resentment was rife in this small body.

It crawled on the ground, its weak gummy limbs barely able to bear a little weight, and its whole body moved limply against the ground.

In the dark, it struggled to move forward, and its too immature body barely had any organs and systems that it should have, and it was completely an enlarged paramecium.

This weak body can't even stop the leakage of bodily fluids, leaving a trail of crystal mucus, and even if it adapts to the air of this planet, there are still many difficulties and dangers in front of it.

But it was such a piece of organic flesh that was not even as good as a worm, and a terrifying will was bound, emitting resentful waves like substance.

At this moment, the electronic devices within a radius of 100 meters flashed.

This resentment is so pure and intense, simply hating one's own weakness and powerlessness.

Its silent roar shook the electrolytes in its body, stirring up a faint flow of bioelectricity, and changing the chaotic biological structure. These structures are the result of experiments in natural evolution, and there are so many useless components that we can only rely on instinct to continue to streamline and evolve into more efficient structures.

But it can control this evolution, which has accelerated for billions of years.

Abandoning all the construction of the circulatory system, it desperately consumes what little material is left, and throws itself into the hunting instinct.

The tender surface of the body quickly darkened and thickened, but it was not to prevent the leakage of bodily fluids, but to evolve hunting weapons and differentiate into hard claws.

The hungry dingo at the beginning was startled by the meteorite and eventually couldn't help but return to the garbage dump in search of food. In the middle of the way, it smelled a sweet smell, and the wild dog trotted over with a sigh of breath, and there was a strange mass of meat in its field of vision, and it leaned over the tip of its nose and sniffed it a few times, but finally did not dare to put its mouth down, but the meat quickly and actively burrowed into the dog's mouth.

Dodging the interlaced canine teeth, it squirmed rapidly into the depths, and the moment it slid through the laryngeal esophagus, it suddenly stretched out its newborn hook and plunged into its tender throat, and its whole body spun and drilled into it.

The wild dog twitched in pain as if it had been electrocuted, rolling all over the ground, and its terrible barking soon turned into a rapid bellows as the esophagus was torn.

The slugs traveled up the airway, finding the location of the foramen magnum with extraordinary accuracy, tearing the throat into it desperately and feasting on the brain, while branching out tentacles to connect to the spinal cord and audio-visual nerves.

This extraterrestrial alien creature, through the five senses of wild dogs, saw the world clearly for the first time. When it was still a bug, it had no energy to evolve complex senses, and could only rely on weak touch, temperature changes, and chemical stimuli to feel the outside world.

The wild dog quickly stopped trembling and staggered to his feet, as if transformed into a newborn puppy.

Its ignorant consciousness suddenly connected to the wild dog's brain, and with the most basic hunger, thirst and ferocity, it suddenly understood that if it wanted to become stronger, it could only hunt

Soon, it was maneuvering its new mount and stumbling to run.

It was still dissatisfied, and needed more flesh and blood, more life to sacrifice to itself.

It draws on the body's nourishment, and the dingo's form is more skeletal and erect, but it has a more powerful explosive power under its irritation at any cost - only once, of course.
