Chapter 13: The Key
"Looks like you've come to the right place this time!"
Looking at the stone gate carved with nine dragons rolling among the clouds not far in front of us, Hou Zifeng couldn't help but exclaim.
I involuntarily walked forward until I came to the stone gate, stretched out my hands, and slowly put them on top of the stone gate.
"Finally found it!" I yelled excitedly, and then I tried to push the stone door open with all my might.
But even with my great strength, the stone gate still didn't move at all.
"Come and help!" I turned my head and yelled at Zhang Huanqing and the others. Zhang Huanqing and the others hurriedly ran over, stretched out their hands together, and pushed hard against the stone door.
"Boom!" There was a violent sound, and the huge stone door slowly began to move.
"I'm straining, and I'm pushing it away right away!" I shouted loudly, and I used all my strength.
Finally, we pushed the huge stone door open, and as soon as the stone door opened, a pungent and unpleasant smell wafted from inside.
"What the does it smell like, it smells so bad." Boss Hu covered his nose and muttered with a frown.
We all shut our mouths and noses until the foul smell had cleared and then we put our hands down.
"Let's go, let's go in!" Zhang Huan said lightly, and walked directly inside.
Boss Hu wanted to take the lead, but was stopped by Hou Zifeng.
"We've been looking for this ancient tomb for two years, I advise you not to pay attention to anything else, if you want something inside, I'll give it to you, but if you want to rob us of something, then don't blame me for being polite." Hou Zifeng looked at Boss Hu in a cold tone and said.
Seeing Hou Zifeng's cold eyes, Boss Hu trembled unconsciously, and the cold eyes pierced his heart, making him feel that it was difficult to breathe, but for the sake of his own face, he still pretended to be calm and replied. "We all said before, I won't want your things, just give me some." With that, he stepped aside, not saying anything.
After Zhang Huanqing entered, I also hurriedly followed.
Inside the huge stone door is a square burial chamber.
The burial chamber in front of me is not very large, and there are seven bronze oil lamps around it.
A few of us scattered and lit the seven oil lamps separately, and the light of the seven oil lamps slowly illuminated the entire burial chamber.
Only then did we see clearly what the entire burial chamber looked like.
Although the light of the North Post Lantern illuminated it, the tomb was still very dim.
It's not that the wallpaper around is full of strange and strange murals, and the appearance of those murals is so cumbersome that we can't figure out what they mean.
In the center of the chamber is a bronze coffin.
The appearance of the coffin is simple and atmospheric. Around the coffin stood four bronze dragon pillars, and at the top of each dragon pillar, a milky white stone was inlaid with it. Under each stone, there was an extra iron chain, and the four iron chains were intertwined, and where the iron chains crossed, there was a bronze mirror. The whole pattern feels very weird.
Who surprised us was that directly behind the real coffin, there was a huge bronze tripod.
"What the hell, the tripod I just saw is fake!" Looking at the huge bronze tripod behind him, Hou Zifeng screamed.
I also felt a burst of doubt, there was nothing in the tomb where I was before, there was a bronze tripod, why was it placed there? Even if it is to make a fake main burial chamber, it must be done decently! Is there any point in that tripod outside? After thinking about it for a long time, I still didn't figure it out, so I just didn't continue to think about it. Instead, he slowly walked over to the coffin.
I excitedly stretched out my hands and gently stroked the bronze coffin.
"Finally found."
To be honest, the excitement almost brought tears to my eyes.
"What are you doing? If we find everything, can't we hurry? Boss Hu shouted loudly, and then walked towards the bronze coffin.
"Click"
I had just walked two steps, and I didn't know what I stepped on, and there was a soft sound. Then at the place where he stepped on, the stone slab below was concave. Before we could react, he was gone.
The four of us froze, then looked at the spot where he had disappeared.
At that point, the stone slab that had been recessed into the ground slowly returned to its original position.
"! What the situation. Hou Zifeng screamed, and was about to walk to the sarcophagus before, but now he didn't dare to move.
"Everyone, be careful with your step." I frowned and said, now that Boss Hu has fallen from there, I don't know if it's life or death, and I can't find the thing he was carrying, I don't know if it will be a key fragment.
Zhang Huanqing, Hou Zifeng and Zhang Man were all vigilant, and every time they took a step, they poked forward with their feet, and only after making sure that there was no danger did they dare to move.
It wasn't until the three of them reached the sarcophagus that they stopped.
"What to do? Open the coffin? Let's check that tripod first. Hou Zifeng looked at me and asked.
"Let's take a look at the tripod first, since the tripod outside is fake, maybe the key fragment is in this tripod." After thinking about it, I decided to check the bronze tripod first to see if there were any key fragments.
The four of them began to walk towards the bronze tripod again, and when we arrived at the big tripod, we stopped, and Hou Zifeng climbed directly to the top of the big tripod.
After opening the lid of the big ding, Hou Zifeng exclaimed.
"What's wrong?" I hurriedly asked.
He didn't speak, he put his hand inside, and in a few moments, he took out a box wrapped in cloth.
"Let's open it and take a look." Hou Zifeng threw the box to me and whispered
I nodded, took the cloth off the box, and slowly opened it, revealing a strange-looking piece of copper lying flat in the box.
"It's a key fragment." I screamed excitedly.
Hou Zifeng and the others were also full of joy, and then jumped down from the bronze tripod.
I took out all the key fragments on my body, a total of nine, according to the gaps above, and in a while, all the key fragments were spliced together, and a complete, somewhat strange-looking key came out in front of our eyes.
"Open the coffin." After assembling the key, I looked at the bronze coffin and whispered.
