Chapter 16: Repression: The Eve of the Revolution
Auschwitz, a small city 52 kilometers west of Krakow in the Silesian region of southern Poland, is best known for its horrific massacre.
Despite the public statements made by the Mustachioed FΓΌhrer that the matter had nothing to do with him, everyone knew that Heinrich Ruitbert Himmler, who ordered the construction of Auschwitz, was his absolute confidant.
As a result, the support for the partisans operating in the German-occupied areas suddenly increased, and the convenience provided by the population, consciously or unconsciously, led to the increasing frequency of the partisan activities.

"Inform the comrades to stop their activities for the next period of time to avoid unnecessary losses. The division got the news that the NC was ready to clear the occupied area. β
"Then we must quickly inform the guerrillas on all fronts!"
"I've had people tell them to suspend the event, and they wrote back saying they'd pay attention."
"Hey, I don't know how many comrades will die this time."

"Hurry, hurry! Hurry up! β
Polish partisans are marching through the forest, preparing to go to a hidden hideout.
"That's not going to work."
The hunter-turned-guerrilla leader frowned deeply as he looked at the marks left on the road after the convoy passed.
"Move the supplies down, put stones in the cart and go north through the forest!"
Following the order of the partisan leader, the advancing procession was busy for a while, and the people and vehicles separated.
"Don't stop along the way, go as far as you can, and then ride the horses away and burn the cars." The guerrilla leader was not at ease and explained, "Pay attention to protect yourself." β
"Don't worry, Captain, see you later."
After the convoy left, the large army gradually disappeared into the depths of the forest, and the guerrilla leader led the people at the end of the procession, sweeping away the traces of the ground with branches.
Five hours later, a heavily armed NC soldier arrived at the outskirts of the forest.
The military vehicle stopped, the well-trained soldiers spread out to occupy the firing position, and the officer leading the team went to the front to look at the ruts on the ground, and shouted an order, "Everyone get on the car!" β
Military vehicles full of soldiers whizzed past one after another, and when the forest calmed down again, several figures appeared in the bushes on the side of the road, and after nodding to each other, one figure left to report, and the remaining figures continued to hide in the bushes and lurk.
Because of the Comintern's notice, most of the resistance forces were transferred in time, but a few resistance groups were still caught by the NC.

A young Polish man was woken up by cold water, and when he came back from his coma, he heard a hoarse voice, "You're awake." β
The sound of his hands shaking his hands let him know that he was not out of danger.
"Young man, where are you from? Local Poland? Or Latvia? A hoarse voice asked.
The young man tried to move his limbs, and when he found that the restraints were tight, he lowered his head and never looked up.
The voice didn't seem to mind and began to talk to itself, "No matter where you're from, I'm sure you're fighting for what you believe in, right?" β
The young man was silent and did not speak.
"Like you, I fight for the faith in my heart."
The young man finally spoke, "Who do you believe?" The Devil? β
"Maybe he's the devil, but he keeps my family, my country, from crying." The hoarse voice laughed, "What if he's the devil?" We have no choice. β
The young man scoffed, "What about Auschwitz?" β
"For the sake of great causes, sacrifice is inevitable."
The young man retorted directly, "That's not a sacrifice, that's a massacre!" β
"Jews are a cancer that hinders social progress! Those inferior nations must be purged of them! β
The young man closed his eyes and ignored the madman, and the room fell silent.
"I've read your report and know you're a tough guy, but trust me, I'm going to do something horrible to get you to speak." A hoarse voice shouted loudly in German, and a group of mermaids rushed in.
A suppressed sobbing sound came, the voice was full of fear and despair, the young man raised his head sharply, and the scene made his eyes split, "What are you going to do!" β
The hoarse voice in the darkness asked, "Can you tell me where the other guerrillas are?" β
"I don't know!" A subconscious sentence blurted out.
'Bang'
Good craftsmanship makes the sound of the firing pin hitting the primer of the bullet appear crisp and melodious.
A Polish civilian fell to the ground with the sound of gunshots, the bullet piercing his chest with precision, and the pain of hemorrhage tormented the poor man, who clenched his chest in pain, trying in vain to stop the flow of life.
An old woman silently recited the name of God, covering the mouth of the girl in her arms.
The suppressed sobs disappeared, and the young man watched as his compatriots died, and there was nothing he could do.
In the darkness, the figure came closer, patting the tense masseter muscles of the young man's cheek, "Can you tell me where the other guerrillas are?" β
The young man gritted his teeth, his eyes wide and he spat out.
The figure raised his hand to wipe the saliva from his face, and by the way, let the young man see the military pistol in his hand, "Okay, let's move on, so who's next?" β
The pistol was pointed at an old woman and the little girl she was holding in her arms, "How about this?" β
The young man's eyes moved with the muzzle of the gun, and he saw the little girl with a frightened expression, and the pleading on the face of the old woman who tightly covered the little girl's mouth and nose, and her pupils dilated for a moment, "She's just a child!" β
"That's right, this little girl is so cute, isn't it?" The figure leaned over and said, "Can you tell me where the other guerrillas are?" β
The young man hesitated for a moment, and in the dim darkness a heartbreaking gunshot rang out.
There was a dead silence in the room, and the voice of the devil echoed in the young man's ears, "You killed her!" You're the one who killed her!
But in the end, no answer was asked, because the young man was crazy.
Himmler was disappointed that the purge did not succeed as expected, and most of the resistance forces hid before the purge was launched, with little success.
On the contrary, the outstanding performance of the Wehrmacht on the frontal battlefield made Himmler somewhat unable to raise his head in front of the mustachioed FΓΌhrer.
Annoyed, Himmler gave instructions to expand the scope of the purge, which implicated countless people at one time.

In the Shengyang Empire, some people of insight have begun to look for a way out for the future of the empire after judging the situation that defeat is inevitable.

In the Soviet Union, Stalin got the news of the uprising of resistance armies in Western Europe, and he showed a rare smile.
Secretly, some people who did not agree with Stalin's ideas of power secretly contacted the Eastern European branch of the Comintern.

In the United States, more and more high-ranking intellectuals secretly joined the Comintern, and a new political party was formed in a low-key manner.
