Previous Chapter

It took me less than half a year from the beginning to the end, but this one is the best I've ever written.

Before the last part was finished, I was already thinking about this one in my mind, and being able to sign a contract at the starting point was my most basic requirement for this one, so at the beginning, I revised it again and again, striving to achieve the effect of "three golden chapters".

After the first chapter was written, I sent it to a netizen for him to taste, and he gave me valuable advice, which I was busy revising carefully, especially the first-person sense of substitution and self-introduction, but my own feeling is that the first chapter is still not enough to attract readers, and the suspense left in the end is not "hanging" enough.

Before the first chapter, there was originally a preface with a general plot of the book, which was ridiculed by a friend as "an extra move", so I asked the editor to delete it.

In order to meet the requirements of more attractive readers, I added a wedge in the front, which is obviously a parody of the beginning of "Notes on Tomb Robbery", but I did not grasp the suspense well enough, and I was not able to dig deep into the suspense left by the "wedge" at the end.

The setting and many plots in "Paper Man Soul" are what I have personally experienced in reality, but I can't write about the immersive feeling, such as "Late Night Hotel", this roadside restaurant has really existed in reality, but I feel that this hotel is the same as a made-up hotel when I read it.

There was a funeral parlor just outside of our town, also known as the crematorium, so I described the crematorium in great detail, and I also had the experience of walking by the crematorium alone late at night.

As for the paper shop next to the crematorium, this originally really existed, just next door to the roadside restaurant, the owner is an art teacher surnamed Li, I made the paper figure he made more realistic, but it gives people an invisible fear, as Mr. Li said, if this kind of thing is too realistic, it will have bad consequences.

Chapter 15 is the source of the name of "Paper Man Soul", and my inspiration for this chapter came from "Brother Zhenmin", which he dictated to me, and Brother Zhenmin is also a real person. "Paper human soul" has two meanings, one is that the person who makes paper produces a soul and strives to turn paper into a person; The second is: the soul of the person who writes on paper.

Originally, I was going to add a fictional plot to this one, where the characters written by the main character suddenly appear in reality and become real characters. This idea was not original to me, but a plot I read from an online book, but I couldn't write it due to word limits.

This one received a text message from the author at the time of 14,000 words, which was unexpected to me and a precursor to the masterpiece, but unfortunately I couldn't write this one better. However, I first added the "red" element to the Internet horror, so I was also worried about whether this one would be harmonized, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Culture had very strict requirements for the content of film and television works, and ghosts and spirits were not allowed, and when I created this, the starting point was also strictly reorganizing all the works, and a large number of works were taken off the shelves, including some of the more famous, and some chapters in the first part I wrote were also taken off the shelves.

I had to learn this lesson, so I was very careful when I was creating, for fear that the words in the work would be replaced with an asterisk, but I still couldn't avoid it. For example, when I describe the acupuncture points of the human body, the words followed by "acupuncture points" will be harmonized, and some medical terms will also be harmonized.

The protagonist of this is a doctor, and at the beginning of the recording, a lot of Chinese medicine acupuncture points and Chinese medicine prescriptions were recorded, if I hadn't studied medicine, I couldn't write it at all, and I was born in medicine.

But I wasn't interested in medicine, and in one sentence, "I'm nowhere near as good at prescribing as I am at writing on prescriptions." ”

I've been learning to write since the end of the last century, and I've been taking correspondence courses in writing courses, but maybe because I'm not gifted enough to write things that aren't exciting and vivid, but I've been writing all these years.

It wasn't until the advent of the Internet that I had the opportunity to publish my work.

In fact, a writer who writes works with his own profession as the protagonist has a more sense of substitution and realism, such as Wang Yuewen's "Dead Soul Bird", I read it several times, transplanting the moral of this book to mine, of course, only one of the chapters, in my last "Scholar's Journey to the Rivers and Lakes" and this one, "Dead Soul Bird" refers more to the metaphor of some people in reality.

In this book, I also have the idea of karma, that if a person does not get retribution for the evil he has done in the world while he is alive, then he will suffer far more in hell after death than he will suffer while he is alive.

In the last chapter, I mentioned "hell", which is the hell referred to in the Bible, but which imprisoned the biggest female traitor in modern China, the "culprit" who slipped through the net after World War II, and the richest family in the world (a family, not an individual).

I don't have any opinion about these "people", but I can't help but feel a little indignant when I know from history that these people have become "fish that have slipped through the net".

Writing is the best way for the author to vent his inner feelings, although sometimes there is no income from writing, for example, my second "The Empress of War", I did not sign a contract, let alone put it on the shelf, but I wrote 920,000 words in one go, not including the part that has been written and not uploaded.

I met a disfigured woman in reality, her face was shocking to look at, but it was real, and I also met a patient in the hospital with a cancerous face, and his face was even more terrifying.

Sometimes it's not that some authors are exaggerating and talking nonsense out of thin air, but things that really exist in reality, but to convince readers that this requires the author's solid writing skills and expression.

Not long after this one started, the starting point released the supernatural essay on the festival, but unfortunately I couldn't catch up, so I had to add this plot in it.

Because of the promotion of Hong Kong and Taiwan film and television works, many people regard July 15 as a traditional ghost festival, but this is not the case in the north, the ghost festival in my hometown is the first day of October, commonly known as the "cold food festival", I have been empathetic to this festival since I was a child, especially the cold wind, if the snow is falling, it will be more terrifying atmosphere.

It is a big pity that I ended at the end of the "Tanabata Festival" and did not make it to the Midyear Festival, but I have already thought about it, and I am ready to open a new book on the Midyear Festival, and it would be best if I could participate in the essay competition at the starting point.

I didn't want to write at all during the hottest days, compared to my first two parts, I felt lazy, I couldn't get the slightest interest in creating, sometimes two chapters a day, or a chapter, or even no chapter, I used to write during the day when I had free time, but now I only write at night.

This emotion affected me for almost a month, and it didn't change until after the dog days.

The ending is a bit rushed, and it's a "prison break mode", I used to be a "prison break fan", but in the double hell of people and ghosts, I can only escape from prison in a special way.

Towards the end, I received a text message from the editor that this one was going to be promoted for free, but I had already decided to finish it.

The end of this is the beginning of the next one.,But because of the business trip to the field.,The new work may have to be interrupted.,But I'll make the plot of the new work more attractive during the break.,I hope you can continue to support the scholar's work.。
