Chapter XXXIII: Three Inscriptions

Atta had forgotten the last time he had slept soundly like this. The mixture of long-lost bed and the peace of mind and fatigue that followed the trial was that she had almost lost her memory of how she had been in bed. However, when she woke up and noticed that she was wearing a different outfit than before, she remembered that the more important part of the house was that there was indeed a bathroom in the house. The first thing the swordsman who got up in his nightgown rubbing his eyes felt was the slightly reddish sunlight, and the time seemed to have come to the junction of afternoon and evening in the usual sense. Worst!

The swordswoman hurried out of the room, only to pick up the puzzler leaning against the door, and even barefoot as she ran down the stairs and out of the door. Fortunately, the current mage was not in a hurry, he sat quietly in the gazebo in the garden, his gray robe on the back of the chair to reveal the simple clothes inside. The sunlight just illuminated the table in the gazebo, as well as the books he placed on it. When Atta walked into the gazebo, Cheese said without looking up,

"If you're looking for Colanty, she's just gone to the castle to find Dr. Hill. Probably will come back after dinner, and I think she'll bring some clothes by then. According to her, the rest of your garments, except for this robe, are clearly beyond the time they are supposed to be doing their duty. Also, I guess you're hungry when you wake up, so you go out and buy something to eat, you don't have anything you don't eat, right? I remember the first time I asked Bakham to eat venison, the guy's face was almost twisted. ”

With some hesitation, Atalanta sat down across from the cheese and quickly slipped the robe on her body before breathing a sigh of relief. But when she saw the wide variety of food on the table, some of which were obviously missing, she found that her impression of the gray robe began to falter this morning. "Are you really a wizard?"

"Strictly speaking, I should be considered a mage, but forget it, I'm too lazy to explain it to anyone... You just think I'm a wizard. Cheese said as he closed the book on the table. It is said that it is a book, but it is actually a binding object that the design blueprint of this molten iron city and some planning suggestions have been gathered, and it is something that the Grand Duke has sent to him in the hope that he can give some advice.

Cheese's answer was clearly not so satisfying, and Atta looked at him with a little suspicion in his eyes. But when her eyes glowed with sky-blue, the suspicion on her face turned to fear.

"I suggest you don't expose those eyes too often, Fairy Eyes, though not many people know about it, but not many people don't want it. The mage was not upset by the fact that the other party was peeking at him, for he had already done the same thing when he was in the square. But sometimes, what you see in the eyes of others is different from what you think you are.

"You know Fairy Eyes!" the swordswoman almost shouted, but she quickly realized her gaffe and covered her mouth with her hand.

Cheese raised his eyebrows slightly, "Since I know the words of the goblin, I will naturally know the eye of the goblin." Is there anything strange about that?"

"But, but you're not... I mean, you can really read the inscription on the Vlakrag?" Atta wasn't particularly surprised that the mage knew how to see the inscription on the fairy sword, as this kind of thing shouldn't be too difficult for a truly knowledgeable wizard. But this didn't mean that she really believed that Cheese could read the inscriptions on the Puzzler's sword, and the fairy text was by no means something that could be understood by a wide range of knowledge. Even most of the wizards who claim to have studied it are still based on speculation and extremely vague estimates. The swordswoman instinctively understood Cheese's previous speech in the square as a ploy to coax the others after hearing about Colandy's introduction to the puzzler.

"Frakrag, or rather, the Puzzler. This is the meaning of your sword translated into our language. Cheese didn't show any dissatisfaction in the face of doubts, in fact, there are no more than three people like him who can read the elves without hindrance, and it is too difficult to understand the way the goblins think. However, simply stating the name of the puzzler's sword was not enough to win the trust of the female swordsman, so the mage continued, "If you still don't believe me, there are three inscriptions on the sword, and the puzzler is just the name of one of them. ”

At this point, Atalanta was speechless. She remembered very well what she had been told when she got the sword. Vlaclager is not just a puzzler in his own right, and this magic sword has a more terrifying ability than forcing the subject to vomit truth. It's just that Atta can't use those abilities, probably because she is not proficient in the sword, or because the goblin who gave her the sword has done something to her. But there is no doubt that the person who can accurately say the power that the solver has not yet shown must know the words of the elves.

"And what about the names of the other two paragraphs, do you see that?" the swordswoman asked the question with some eagerness, because she herself did not know the meaning of the other two inscriptions of the Puzzler. Although Atta has the eye of a fairy, she herself does not understand the fairy language. But she knew that the man who had sent the Solver to her had told her that the third inscription of the Solver would grant her wish. She had never been so close to the end of her journey.

And perhaps God destined that her journey should not end here. The mage shook his head, "Maybe because of the user, I can only read the first inscription now, and I can only see a vague outline in the last two paragraphs, and I can't decipher its meaning. Why, is this important to you? I think the Puzzler's abilities alone make it a very powerful magic sword. There's no need to go overboard with its other two abilities, and with the goblin's forging habits, it's probably a good thing that you can't use those two inscriptions. ”

"But," Atta's expression darkened as Cheese said it was undepressable, her expression like that of a disappointed child, "this is the only clue I have to find my family." ”

"Family, so you're the one of the two humans?" the mage's words struck the depressed female swordsman like a lightning strike, and she almost jumped out of the gazebo.

"You!you know!" Atta couldn't control her voice again, she had spoken as many times as she had in the previous year.

Cheese nodded slowly, and spread his hands to look at the sky-blue abrupt eyes, "Of course I do." Although it is rare for goblins to change children, it is inevitable to hear of it because of its long history. ”
