Chapter 363 The first layer of the Arhat golden body of the Relic Pagoda

The three of them closed their eyes, full of doubts about the scene that suddenly appeared in front of them, how should all this be explained by being able to enter this illusion in a dream, seeing this illusion without distractions, and in the event of a total solar eclipse, this magical illusion will appear on its own? It's really incomprehensible whether all this is a masterpiece of nature or the masterpiece of a master of the Tao!

Several people saw the gate to enter the relic, and after a brief discussion, the three of them began to dig up where they saw the stone gate, and since they did not bring the tools to dig, the three of them carried the evil qi to the palm of their hands, and they dug it up quickly, and it didn't take long for a big hole to be dug in the ground!

The depth of the pit was close to two meters, but when I was distracted, I saw that the door still did not appear! I saw the depth of the gate of the stupa just now, and the depth of the gate is only one meter, why don't you see the shadow of the gate after digging so deep?

The three of them sat on the ground tiredly, distressed in their hearts, they all saw the door, how could they not find it!

The old monk sat cross-legged on the ground, without distractions, just now Zhou Tianyi, Miao Weiqiang, Dong Tinghua when the three of them were digging the soil to find the relics pagoda door, in the artistic conception, they saw three people standing in front of the door, but when the three people started digging, the gate would become farther and farther away...

The old monk saw that the three of them did not dig the door and opened his eyes, and told Zhou Tianyi, Miao Weiqiang, and Dong Tinghua everything he had just seen, and when he heard everything the old monk said, Zhou Tianyi frowned, what is going on?

The door is right in front of you, but you just can't get in!

Zhou Tianyi took a deep breath and expelled the distracting thoughts in his heart, and it didn't take long for the door to appear in front of him again, and there were no traces of digging on the ground, it seems that it is not easy to enter this gate, how can I enter the relics pagoda with a face full of thoughts!

When he was puzzled, Zhou Tianyi walked towards the gate with his eyes closed, and he understood that everything that appeared in front of him was an illusion that could only be seen with his heart's eye, Zhou Tianyi walked to the door, and gently touched the door with his hand, and his heart was shocked!

In the void, Zhou Tianyi actually felt that his hand touched a door, Zhou Tianyi tried to use force, and the door was actually pushed open. It turns out that the way to enter the stupa is to use the heart eye, and open the door of the heart to enter the stupa!

found a way to enter the relics pagoda, the four people all closed their eyes, walked to the door, the gate had already been pushed open by Zhou Tianyi, and walked into the gate with surprise, the four figures who were originally standing on the top of the mountain, without warning, miraculously disappeared!

When they walked into the pagoda, the door behind them slowly closed by itself, and the four of them looked at everything in amazement!

The old monk said that there are eight layers of stupas, and this should be the first floor, and in the space of the first layer, there are eighteen Buddha statues about two meters high!

In the middle is a white coffin painted with Buddha statues and lotus flowers!

"This... This is the legendary Eighteen Arhats! Dong Tinghua said.

"Well, it should be!" Miao Weiqiang responded.

Zhou Tianyi carefully observed the surrounding Buddha statues, these Buddha statues are carved lifelike, there are exquisite murals on the walls, each Arhat is completely different, the eighteen Arhats, according to legend, are the protectors of Buddhism, what does the eighteen Arhats on the first layer mean?

The Eighteen Arhats are the eighteen Arhats who live forever in the world and uphold the Dharma, which are derived from the Sixteen Arhats and the Two Venerables. They are all historical figures, and they are all disciples of Shakyamuni.

Shakyamuni Buddha instructed the 16 Arhats to live forever in the world so that the Dharma could be passed on to future generations after the Buddha's extinction, so that sentient beings would have the opportunity to hear about the Dharma. After Buddhism came to China, the 16 Arhats became the subject of artists' creations, which later evolved into the 18 Arhats.

Legend has it that Arhats were originally the ultimate goal pursued by the Hinayana Buddhism, but under the persuasion and encouragement of the Buddha Shakyamuni, all the Arhats returned to the small to the large, "the past life is not nirvana", to help maintain Mahayana Buddhism, so in Mahayana Buddhism, the Arhats also have their new status and deeds. Arhats, also known as arhats, refer to saints who can cut off all afflictions, reach the state of nirvana, no longer suffer from the cycle of birth and death, have the virtue of guiding sentient beings to goodness, and are worthy of being supported by human beings

The eighteen Arhats are; Sitting on the deer Arhat, Rejoicing Arhat, Raising a Bowl Arhat, Tota Arhat, Meditation Arhat, Crossing the River Arhat, Elephant Riding Arhat, Laughing Lion Arhat, Happy Arhat, Probe Arhat, Contemplative Arhat, Ear Digging Arhat, Cloth Bag Arhat, Plantain Arhat, Long Eyebrow Arhat, Gatekeeper Arhat, Dragon Descending Arhat, Tiger Arhat.

Each Arhat has a different title; His Holiness the Penduravara; Sitting deer arhat, the Vara Fall Pavilion is one of the eighteen surnames in India, is the noble Brahmin family, Bindura is the name. This arhat was originally the minister of the Indian king of Uthayan and had the power of a country, but he suddenly set his heart to become a monk. King Yutoyan personally asked him to turn around as an official, but he was afraid of the king's instigation, so he fled into the mountains to practice.

His Holiness the Garoka Dai; Rejoice in Arhats, the demons are eliminated, Yuyu clarifies and raises his hands to celebrate, and his heart is full of joy.

His Holiness Ganoka was one of the ancient Indian commentators. A commentator is an orator and orator who is good at talking about Buddhism. When asked what joy was, he explained that it was joy that comes from hearing, sight, smell, taste, and touch. Someone asked him, "What is Gaoqing?" He said, "The happiness that you don't feel by your ears, eyes, mouth, nose, and hands is Gaoqing." For example, if you are looking at the Buddha and the mind is aware of the Buddha's presence, you will feel happy. He often smiled when he spoke and debated, and he was famous for his festive speeches, hence the name Festive Arhat, or Rejoicing Arhat.

His Holiness Noga Bharitha; Lifting the bowl Arhat, the Venerable Noga Varita was originally a monk who turned into a relationship. His method of turning his fortune is different, which is to hold up an iron bowl and beg for food, and after becoming enlightened, the world calls him "Arhat who lifts the bowl". The Venerable Kano Kavali is a compassionate and equal alcheishment. Benefiting the world through almsgiving, planting merit for sentient beings, preaching the Dharma to them, and enlightening sentient beings by example and words.

His Holiness Subindra; Tota Arhat, Ta, is a Chinese character made from the first sound of the Sanskrit word "Tapo". Before Buddhism was introduced into China, there was no tower in China, so the word "tower" was specially made, and the tower in Buddhism was the thing that carried the Buddha's bones. Since the pagoda is a utensil that carries the bones of the Buddha, the pagoda has also become a symbol of the Buddha. Tota Arhat is not the king of Tota, the king of Tota is the bodhisattva, and there is a difference between a bodhisattva and an arhat: a bodhisattva is the fruit of Mahayana cultivation, while an arhat is the fruit of Hinayana cultivation. This arhat's name is Subindra, and he is the last disciple of the Buddha Shakyamuni. (To be continued.) )
